Share post:

Earlier in May’16 Amore Pacific Malaysia (the mother company that has brands like Laneige, Sulwhasoo, and Innisfree under their umbrella) held a launch preview of its latest brand, Mamonde (means ‘My World’). Mamonde (originated in South Korea, 1991) is the leading global premium cosmetics brand that offers a wide range of skincare and makeup suitable for every women’s daily needs.

I was lucky enough to attend the launch preview and experience the floral world of Mamonde, the flower science behind their product manufacturing technology. We were briefed how Mamonde skincare is the first of its kind in the cosmetics world as their product formula uses the flowers as its key ingredient. Flower, the divine creation of nature possess amazing power and energy to revitalize beauty thus, Mamonde’s inspiration of its innovating flower science technology comes from.

Mamonde skincare range features a few key flowers, they are…

  • Honeysuckle
  • Rose
  • Hibiscus
  • Camellia
  • Lotus
  • Magnolia

The product formulation also includes other flora like Narcissus, Evening Primrose, and the Heartleaf Houttuynia. The range of product benefits you’ll find are…

  • Vitalizing
  • Moisturizing and Hydrating
  • Anti-aging
  • Cleansing and Exfoliation
  • Brightening
  • Pore Care and Oil Balancing
  • Sun Protection
  •  and of course there is Makeup range from base to lip

Have a look at at the glimpse of Mamonde World in their Launch Preview below…

Mamonde is set to launch in Malaysian strand in August’16 with the opening of its first beauty counter in Aeon Bandar Utama. Price range is expected to be between RM6-RM169.

If you know me then you know how much I love those products that are inspired by nature and in this case we are dealing with flowers! A few of Mamonde Skincare goodness already made their place in my skin care routine. You must stay connected for my in-depth review on them.

  1. My favorite foundation is using the all new Bb Cushion that are a trend nowadays! It has slowly replace my daily foundation, as they give the natural cover and dewy look after I apply on my face! Since I am a Bb Cushion Collector, would definitely love to try Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion as well =D Once again congrats on the chosen winner for the Instagram post!

    • Thanks Sharon. I know right, cushions are a game changer these days. After all they are so convenient to carry around and perfect for hot weather.
Best of luck with your entry🤓

  3. I started out with makeup younger than most people. Don’t laugh apu but I’ve been following your work since my SSC days :p My favourite foundation of all time is Revlon Colorstay Foundation (for oily-combination skin). I’ve used quite a few drugstore ones including Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, Fit Me, Revlon Nearly Naked, Loreal True Match etc. but I seem to keep coming back to my trusty Colorstay! Cushion foundations sound fun, I’d love to try the idea of an express-makeup :p Looking forward to trying Mamonde’s Cover Powder Cushion 😀

    • They have 3 shade in their cushion range. 17(light beige), 21(peach beige) and 23(natural beige). I have the shade 21 here. They says, this cushions adds a thin layer to brighten up skin and easily adheres to skin tone! Not sure if it matches my skin because I kept my one intact for the giveaway 🤓
I’m realizing now I should’ve swatch them at the preview session 🤔

    • One more thing for your convenience. These 3 shade and numbering is pretty much standard for most of the Korean/asian cushion. If you tried any other then you’ll be able to compare!

  5. Thanks for the giveaway Tamanna! I wonder if the cushion will match my skin tone.
Anyway, at the moment, I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING the Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation. It is lightweight, medium coverage buildable to full coverage, and it does last for a long long time! It is also oil free and doesn’t dry down too matte or too dewy… The other absolutely amazing thing about this foundation is that it comes in the deepest shade that I believe even ebony skin can match…

    • Ahem! Matching cushions are a bit tricky for us people of color, no!? Hehe… 😅
I’m yet to try Sephora foundations. One of my friend also raves about the Sephora airbrush foundation. Oil free and dewy finish makes me real tempted!

      • Well, it is actually almost drugstore price! I just gave it a go during the private sale and I feel it was money well spent… I have heard good things about the Airbrush too and I’ve also heard good things about the Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation (the one with a dropper). Perhaps I’ll give those a try in the future..

  7. I have been using Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation With Comfort Serum . It is a decent foundation for my combination skin. I haven’t tried many foundations but so far, this is the best one I have tried . Since I am always on the hunt for a better quality foundation, I would like to try the much raved BB cushions.

  9. Actually, I’ve never really used foundation. I have combination skin & I find it a hassle to deal with foundation because it would end up making my face super super oily. I really hope I could find something that gives a light cover-up, without having to drill a hole in my wallet. It gets costly when trying to stay beautiful all the time!

    • I feel you Kathy, it is indeed hard to find a perfect foundation that is perfect for our skin type and yes price point is also a major fact. As your skin is oily you must try those foundation that are oil free and water based.
