Lakme CC Cream | A Quick & Easy Makeup Product for Oily Skin

Share post:

The whole beauty world is flooding by BB, CC and DD creams these days. I wonder soon I’ll be craving for a ‘ZZ’ cream. Jokes apart, what is a CC cream? The word ‘CC’ stands for Color Correction or Complexion Care. This sort of product aims to give a better solution for uneven skin tone, an instant improvement on skin texture, fresh feeling as well as healthy glow. However, CC cream is nothing but an advanced stage of a BB cream.
Without talking further let me tell you about Lakme CC Cream that I’ve been kind of loving recently.

Packaging wise Lakme CC cream is quite nice than other drugstores one. Comes in a golden beige sleek tube with metallic silver lid cap. The hot pink paper cartoon surely caught my eyes. The tube itself is firm enough and travel-friendly as well. Tube contain 30ml of product and comes in two different shade, Beige, and Bronze. Smells almost nothing but like all other Lakme product.

As because Lakme CC cream is totally made for Indian/South Asian market, so their both shades are toned in yellow. The shade Beige is for a lighter skin tone and the shade Bronze is for the darker tone. They might seem a bit more yellow-ish for skin but somehow its blends amazingly into the skin and turns into a perfect color. I picked the Bronze shade for me and I’m fully impressed with the shade.

Coming to the texture, it gives a quite satisfying result. It is not thin like a BB cream but almost closed to a foundation, easily bendable and lightweight. Provides up to medium coverage with a smooth velvety matte finish. Covers up minor spots and blemishes but for a dark spot, you’ll need a concealer. Though it’s matte in texture but do adds radiant in the skin. Nicely works if you topped up with powder without being cakey. If you have oily skin then you might notice shine but after 3/4 hours, even in a humid weather, this fact definitely amused me. If you are prone to oxidization then you might face that (only if you directly exposed to the sun). Lakme CC Cream contains SPF 20 which is good but I would suggest you not to skip your daily sun care product. This SPF level is not enough to protect you from the harsh sun.yeah,

I have been using it for a month now and another good thing is it didn’t cause any breakout at all. Overall, this a decent product for your go-to makeup.

Wait… there is some negative part as well. If you have flawless skin then it’s a perfect product for you. Whereas, if you have dry and flaky patches on your skin then this CC cream is going embarrass you badly. I don’t know why but somehow this cream highly emphasizes all dry section of the skin. I don’t always have flaky skin issue but whenever I’m lazy to exfoliate my skin well I do notice some dry patches here and there. Honestly, I haven’t faced this sort of dry patch emphasizing issue with any product before. Even if I apply moisturizer prior to applying Lakme CC cream that doesn’t seem to work at all. Somehow it just gets into those dry patches. I wonder how it’s gonna work for dry skin!
Anyways, if you don’t have a dry patch issue then you can defiantly go for Lakme CC Cream. This is a great product for daily use if you need something more than a BB cream or tinted moisturizer.  In fact, the coverage it gives, you’ll eventually forget the need of your daily foundation.

  5. Hi nice review. Very happy to see a beauty blogger from Bangladesh. Most of the time I found review written by Indian girl. I am using Maybelline clear glow BB stick. This is an amazing product. I have oily acne porn skin and this BB stick give 8-10 hrs coverage without any breakout. I don’t need much touch-up also. But now a days I also interested to use Lakme CC ceam. But I am confused I should buy it or not or stay with BB stick. Would you write a review on these two product comparison? I am waiting for your suggestion that which one I should buy- Lakme CC cream or Maybelline BB stick.
