Classic Black and Brown Smokey Eye

Classic Black and Brown Smokey Eye, a universal type of eye look which is flattering with anything and everything as well as wearable anytime day or night! Pure black as a dominating color might look a bit out of the trend so I used a burgundy brown as my prime color here. Kept the liner clean and simple to focus only in the smokey part.

Let’s get into the tutorial…

Classic Black and Brown Smokey Eye

1. First as usual started with a primed eyelid. Applied a solid matte brown shade (which is pretty close to my skin tone) softly in the crease.
2. With a black kajal filled my lid and blended that nicely up to the crease to create a base for black eyeshadow.
3. Applied a black shadow over the black base and again blended that up to the crease.
4. Now softly swiped a burgundy brown shade all over the lid just leaving the outer corner a bit.
5. Again took the black shadow and defined the outer corner. Applied highlighter in brow bone and tear duct area. Then blended out every harsh line.
6. Filled my waterline with black kajal. Then with black shadow smoked out lower lash line.
7. Applied black liquid liner only in the upper lid.
8. Lastly. applied few coats of mascara and my eye makeup were done!

I think Classic Black and Brown Smokey Eye is the easiest eye style to create. You need to work with only two or three basic colors, but this look requires a lot of blends. You must have to be careful and patient with blending while creating a smokey eye otherwise the entire look will be ruined only because of the prominent harsh line.

I kept my lips nude here, but you can also wear bold lips like red, wine, brown etc with this smokey eye. Needless to mention, a pair of false lash will make this look more eye catching.

Sleek Delmar Eyeshadow Palette is a fairly new palette by Sleek Makeup, launched as a limited edition in their summer collection. Sleek Delmar Eyeshadow Palette comes in their usual black palette and a dual tip sponge applicator is also included. This palette features twelve vibrant shade inspired by soothing and serene environment of Ibiza! As soon as I saw this palette I knew that I have to get my hands on this one. Probably after three years a Sleek palette caught my eyes that hard!

Needless to mention, Sleek makeup is not available in Bangladesh. I had to get this through online.

You’ll find some application instruction/suggestion back of the paper packet! All shadow named beautifully printed in a extra plastic film which I hate. That name film is apparently a hassle to keep! I really wish they would print the names in the palette.

Sleek Delmar Eyeshadow Palette consist fun selection of summer shades which are bright and playful yet subtle. There are pleasing varieties of texture, some are matte, some are semi-matte, few feels satin in finish and only the shade ‘Lounge Lovers’ is frosty. They provide good color pay off but matte shades feel a bit chalky, to mention ‘Chilled Out’ and ‘Balearic Beat’. As because they are intentionally made in subtle form so the color needs to be packed on quite a bit to achieve the best color pay off. Every shade blends nicely but fades away faster than usual, they needs building up to during application. The shade ‘Talamanca’ appears almost invisible in my skin without primer but with primer I found this works as a great transition color. ‘Chilled Out’ a complete white chalky shade is one and only unflattering shade of this palette, otherwise I’m satisfied with rest.

You might find this palette confusing due to its subtle color pay off. In my case, I’m totally happy with it because this palette attract me for its subtle finish. Do keep this fact in mind if you keen to purchase Sleek Delmar Eyeshadow Palette.

The eye look below I created using Sleek Delmar Eyeshadow Palette. Used the shade ‘Ambience’ in the crease, ‘Poolside’ in 2/3 of outer lid, ‘On The Rocks’ in inner corner and ‘feel Euphoric’ to blend the inner corner shade up to brows.

Arabic style eye makeup with easily wearable matte colors!

Hello beautiful! Hope you doing well… I was requested to do an Arabic style eye makeup, so here I’m!

The base of Arabic style eye makeup is mainly the way of lining eyes! Super dramatic Long accentuated double lining and bold colors are almost mandatory for that look. You’ll find the originality of Arabic makeup style in their belly dance performance. I tried to make this look a little more wearable by using soft toned matte colors but yes, there is those dramatic lines. Hope you like my interpretation.

Let’s have a look at the pic-torial…
Arabic Style Eye MakeupI started with a primed base ofcourse. Attached a tape in the angle of my eye and brow, for the sake of a sharp line that I’m going to create. For this look, I used my Sleek Makeup Delmar eye shadow palette. With the shade ‘Ambience'(dusty lilac shade) defined 2/3 of the crease. Filled 2/3 of the lid with ‘Poolside'(teal shade) and 1/3 of the inner lid with ‘on the rocks'(coral) shade. Taking the shade ‘feel euphoric'(soft pink coral) blended that inner half taking almost up to the brow to make some drama. Highlighted my brow bone and very inner corner with The Balm Mary-Lou-Manizer. Then blended all lines of shadows nicely. Now time for eyeliner applied a dark black liner in medium thickness and winged it out pretty long. Removed the tape after applying liner. Applied white kohl on my lower water line and black kohl in lower lash line. Then blended black kohl with the shade ‘Blue Marine'(teal green) creating a second wing under the upper winged line. Taking a silver glitter liner filled the gaps between two wing, made another line just above the black liner in upper lid also touched a bit in the inner corner. Lastly, applied few coats of mascara.

I didn’t wear any false lashes here but you must remember with a pair of false lash this Arabic style eye makeup will pop up in its full form. The real drama of Arabic style eye makeup can’t be complete without big dramatic falsies. But again, to make the look comfortable to wear you can skip false lash.

Eid-ul-Fitr is coming soon, I think this Arabic style eye makeup can come useful as your Eid evening look 🙂

Flormar Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick Comes in a beautiful shiny golden packaging, quite sleek to look at. Consist 3g of product has no identical smell in it. They have many beautiful colors in this range, I picked Elegant Terracotta, felt I was missing this warm brown pure terracotta in my collection. The texture of this lipstick is extremely smooth and pigmented, glides on lip like butter. Holds up for long and does not bleed over the time. The lipstick doesn’t appear shiny on the lip, looks semi-matte in natural light. It also feels so moisturizing on the lip. I absolutely love this Lipstick as well as this particular shade.

Flormar Matte Lipstick comes in classic matte black packaging, containing a 4.2g of product. They also have many colors in this matte range, I picked Milk Chocolate and Vintage Pink. The lipstick has some kind of sweet smell but that’s not really overpowering. I love the packaging, it’s simple yet sober to look at also sturdy enough. The lipstick is matte yet glides like cream, pretty moisturizing, doesn’t give any dry feeling. It applies amazingly smooth and opaque, does not bleed and last really long.

Overall, I’m so happy with these Flormar Matte and Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick. They are awesome for the price and quality. If you looking for budget friendly good quality lipstick then I surely recommend you to try Flormar Matte and Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick.

 Other  Day I was trying my Sleek Garden of Eden palette (review and swatch here.. ) and ended up with this copper and green eye makeup.

 First to create this copper and green eye look of-course I started with a primed base. Used my Essence I heart stage eyeshadow base for that. In the second step I used ‘Forbidden’ a brownish taupe shade from sleek palette to define the crease. Filled eyelid with ‘gates of eden’ a golden copper shade, applied ‘Fauna’ and ‘Tree of Life’ shade of green mixed in the outer corner. All shades are from the same Sleek palette. To enhance the eye look a bit more applied MAC ‘Copper Sparkle’ pigment just in the middle of lid. In the fifth step lined my water line with Lakme Eyeconic kajal then blended lower lid with ‘Forbidden’. Lined upper lid with Lakme Eyeconic kajal and Ioni liquid liner in black. Higglighted my browbone and tear duct with The Balm ‘Mary-lou-manizer’. Lastly. applied few coats of mascara and my copper green eye makeup was done.

Sleek Makeup Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette


Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette Comes in usual Sleek black palette form also with a dual tip sponge applicator. This palette has variety of greens, pinkish neutrals and few warm grunge-brown shade. I found Garden Of Eden palette quite interesting for its color selection. Apart from the greens, those neutrals and browns are quite catchy to have in one palette.

Unfortunately, Sleek Makeup is not available in Bangladesh. I got my one through online shop.

This palette has beautiful combination of matte &shimmer, dark to light shades. All of them are pretty smooth in texture and well pigmented except ‘Adam’s Apple’ feels quite chalky. From upper row ‘Forbidden’ and from lower row ‘Entwined’ doesn’t appear much visible(without primer) in my skin tone but I found them great(with primer) as transition shade.

The eye look below I created with Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow palette.
Used ‘Forbidden’ in the crease, ‘Fauna’ & ‘Tree of Life’ in the outer corner and Filled  eyelid with ‘Gates of Eden’.
However, there is two color here which is not from the eye look with Sleek Garden Of Eden palette. I used a bit of MAC ‘Copper Sparkle’ pigment in the center of the lid and The Balm ‘Mary-Lou-Manizer’ to highlight brow bone. Hope you can separate that from other shade.

All shades(except ‘Adams Apple) comes with this palette is satisfactory in quality, blends seamlessly and opacity is buildable up to expectation with a proper base. Loved the variety of colors, this palette can come handy for any look from day to night, soft to deep-dramatic.

Overall, I wont say this palette is a must have but its a good one to have in collection specially if you are fond of green shades 🙂

Yes! I have been hauling more from Essence Cosmetics. As long as Essence stand is available in my local store now so wanted to try those popular product by this brand. I was happy to see all Products by Essence are reasonably price here in BD. 


What I got is…..

This is probably the much raved product by essence. I was so excited to try this one but had really bad experience purchasing this one. After coming back home when I open the pot saw the gel liner was completely dried out and shrank inside. Even it was hard to poke by nails as you can see from the picture. The next day I took it back to the store. Store Assistant tried to give me a change but found out each and every gel liner in their stock was in the same condition. The ask for time to contact distributor. Two days later they inform me their whole stock is in same condition so they cant change it! They tried to make me believe this gel liner suppose to be like that. I was like, whaah, haven’t I ever used any gel liner before!? However, this was totally a disappointment. Guys, be alert before buying this gel liner from BD store.



Except the Gel liner I’m quite happy with this Essence Cosmetics haul. Looking forward to play and experiment with them. Have you tried any product by Essence Cosmetics yet? Let me know which one is your favorite, I would love to try that to 🙂

Hello there…
If you are following me on Facebook then you already know that couple of week before I hauled from Essence. Yes, recently few shops are having Essence Cosmetics stand here in Bangladesh. I’m a fan of their clear mascara since I know Essence Cosmetics yet haven’t really tried their other product. I was quite excited to try their nail polishes. As soon as I got to know that my local store having Essence Cosmetics stand I literally ran there and bought all these polishes! Craizy me!!

I have been trying trying all these colors around the week and I have to say I’m totally impressed by the quality of essence nail polish. They are thin in texture, they it takes 2/3 coats to get the opaque color but for deeper shades 2 coat is more than enough. Does dry within a decent amount of time and once it dry its on for long! I was surprised to see that with all my kitchen job my nail polish didn’t chip a bit for four days! I believe, they would even last more if I didnt have to do kitchen task. For me the lasting power was excellent and I don’t really keep same manicure more than four days, I get bored.


Between all these ‘space queen’ is my favorite! Its a glitter topcoat with fine holographic glitter. These days I feel line putting it on with every polish I wear 🙂

Another favorite of mine is ‘the green & the grunge’. I never had such beautiful green in my collection before.

However, I’m totally disappointed with Essence Gel-look topcoat. Gel-look, that’s a big no! It doesn’t give any sort of gel look, top of that, it doesn’t dry. I put it on over night, it didn’t work. Additionally, the topcoat forms bubble withing 30 minute which was literally annoying. I also tried the Essence express dry drop over the gel-look topcoat but didn’t work at all. About the express dry drops, its nothing fancy! Just like all other dry drops available in market.
