Meena Herbal Body Scrub
If you are following me on Facebook page then you already know that a couple of months ago this Body Scrub was sent to me by Meena Herbal for reviewing purpose along with other newly launched Meena Herbal product. Meena Herbal is a Bangladeshi company who recently launched this kind of body and skin care product.
This body scrub is available allover the country and costs BDT 200/- for 100g tube.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Meena Herbal hand&foot scrub (review here…) and this body scrub is a quite similar product to look at. Comes with same kind of tube packaging, printing color is slightly in the teal side. The texture of both scrubs is same as well, clay based off white creamy texture with a similar amount of fine scrubbing particle in it. Major exception I found is the body scrub smells minty, gives minty sensation in the skin and there is some kind of soapy ingredient in it that polish and cleanse skin quite a bit.

Meena Herbal Body Scrub

Product claims to contain Neem and Mint extracts. I didn’t feel anything Neem yet if you love mint then like me you’ll love this product from very first use. The minty scent and sensation it gives is so calming and absolutely amazing. You might find the scrubbing perticle it has a bit extra fine but trust me, it will make your job done without any effort. They look kind of molecular as a scrubber, but they are strong enough to remove all the dead cells from your skin. Honestly, you will not like those big grains anymore to scrub your skin with when you’ll find such product like this where a molecular thing does the job.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

I love whatever soapy ingredient it has (though it doesn’t lather up) because it provides such smooth and clean feeling afterward.

Meena Herbal Body Scrub

Overall, this product has completely won me. I was so into St.Ives body scrub and since I got this didn’t look back for once, absolutely heart this product. Give it a try if you haven’t yet.

There is one opinion for the company to consider, I wish this body scrub would come in a bigger size pack. It’s a body product right? So we need quite a lot for one use where this 100g pack lasts max 8/9 uses. Who would like to go to the mall and buy the same thing 2/3 times in a month or stock up 2/3 pack at home!

***Note that, I’m not paid or biased to do this review. Everything stated here completely based on my honest opinion.

Covergirl+Olay Concealer balm: Light/Medium 340

0

The Covergirl+Olay concealer balm worth approx $5/6(forgot the actual price). Not available in Bangladesh, you’ll need to order online.

The concealer is fragrance free, comes in a lipstick type of stick as you can see. Packaging is ok but the lid is poor in quality, you’ll find cracks in it within 4/5 use. Product claims like ‘makeup meets skin care’, I totally don’t believe on that because it doesn’t come with air tight lid so whatever the good ingredient it has in it can not be stable with time. I normally hate concealer in a stick as they tend to cake up on skin more than a liquid concealer but surprisingly this one is a bit different. I guess they name it perfectly, a balm, it has exactly the balm like buttery consistency. Glides on skin very smoothly without any effort and also not over moisturizing or even drying underneath the eye area.

I got myself the shade light/medium, which i found a bit dark for my under eye area. However, i started using it for daily basis. It gives, highest, medium coverage so will not cover much if you have any dark spot on face. Initially, i like it for its smoothness and glideon quality but later on i noticed the product gets into under eye fine line and creases within 2 hour even with a setting powder, probably because my skin is in a oily side. Product’s overall staying power on face is maximum 4/5 hour without fading.

Lastly, i’ll say this is just a so so quality type drugstore concealer. When I have nothing to use and not much to care about my look i might reach for this one. This is no new product and there is quite rave about this but sorry to say, this concealer failed to satisfy me.

Probably we Bangladeshi are the only nationality who welcome Falgun(Spring) with a heart full of enthusiasm and colors. This time in Bangladesh, anyone can see and literally feel how the life is coming back in nature and spreading that into us after a cold winter. By carrying the bright and warm color of Marigold and doing so many cultural activities we all welcome the first day of Falgun(spring). I wore saree, you know what, this is always the hardest thing for me to do. Hello Ladies..
I guess you are all prepared for this years Valentine.
Here is my 2nd look for you featuring red.

Start with a clean base, apply a soft brown color in crease to define it.

With a shimmery brown shadow cover half of the lid, up to the crease area.

Now apply black shadow in the outer corner and blend it in crease as shown in picture.

Take a creamy bright blue shadow and line the lower lid. I applied some black line in the upper lid previously as a guideline of the joining corner.

Now highlight the browbone with a matte highlighter and give the final touch of liner in upper lid with a black liner.

Lastly, put on some mascara and tend your brows. Your eye makeup is done.

A soft purply eye with hot fuchsia lip!

I have primed my eyes first. slightly drawn the crease with a darker earthy shadow. Hope you can see that in picture.

Applied and blended NYX jumbo pencil in milk to create a white base.

Filled half of the eye lid with a soft shimmery pink color.

Filled other half of lid with a darker pink and blended that into the soft pink as shown in the picture.

Applied a purple shadow in the outer V of eyes also blended that into the crease.

In this step applied a soft black shadow in the outer V of lid.

Highlighted the brow bone with a matte soft gold shadow. Lined both upper and lower eye with a black khol pencil, smudged the lower liner with a blue eyeshadow.

Applied some diamond glitter in the inner corner though the picture failed to show that diamond spark. Lastly, filled brows and wore few coats of mascara.

And my eyes are done…….

Falgun AKA Spring Inspired Makeup

10

Pohela Falgun/Spring is at the door… Who is excited? Me? Certainly !!
If you from Bangladesh then you already know we celebrate Falgun with ‘Bashonti'(bright orange) color. Celebrating Falgun won’t be complete without Bashonti saree, yellow marigold and maybe a tip(bindi). We usually spend first day of Falgun with our special ‘bashonti’ getup 🙂

So, here is my take on Falgun inspired makeup for you guys… This look can be worn easily in a day time with Bashonti, red dress of your choice.

Lets get into the eye makeup tutorial…

Falgun makeup
1. I started with primed eyes and putting a highlighting color in tear dot area.
2. Slightly defined the crease with a soft taupe color. This will also work as my transition color.
3. Applied a bright orange shadow allover in the eye lid, up to the crease.
4. Applied a dark green shadow in the outer corner of lid creating an angular shape. also lined the lower eye line with same shade connecting both outer corner.
5. Then highlighted the brow bone with the color I used previously for tear dot and ofcourse blended every color nicely.
6. Time for brows. Filled my brows with ELF brow kit.
7. Now the last step, applied liner and generous amount of mascara. My eyes are done.

Mascara Stash: All used up~~~

4

I have kinda bad habit of using two or more mascara at a time so when I trash mascara in 4/5 month they comes in number like this. These are my current used up mascara that I’m going to trash today. Before doing so though to do a quick post telling you how did they performed in use.

Rimmel London Glameyes Day to Night Mascara:

This one was my favorite among all for long time, bought so many of this. Worth around £8 in UK. Unfortunately, this is not available in BD, if you want to get it you’ll need to order online.
This mascara comes with two twist up brush with different kind of bristle, one gives volume and one gives length. My one is not the waterproof one but Rimmel has another version of this which is waterproof. It give really fuller and longer definition to lashes however, clumps a bit if you’re not careful enough.

Loreal Bare Natural Mascara:

When I saw this in store I got impressed by its brown gradient packaging. Bought it from Bodyline, BD and worth around BDT600/- . In use it was just an ordinary product, gave not so impressive performance. It didn’t clump on lashes but didn’t provide expected length or volume either.
Surely I wouldn’t repurchase this one.

Loreal FeatherLash Mascara:

Another purchase from Bodyline, BD. Worth around BDT500/-. I loved this one. It performed best in giving length, amazingly separate lashes and gives dark matte black finish. Now, if you want volume then you’ll have to apply another over it. But seriously I loved it and soon going to get another one.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

This is one of my old favorite mascara. Available in Bodyline, FamilyNeeds, Priyo. Price varies on store. It has thin rubber brush and vibrating switch in it so the brush really catches each and every tiny lash you have. It was the best mascara I ever used for lower lashes. I use non-waterproof version of this product but waterproof version is also available in market. I have a full review on this, do check that to know more. Visit Here…
Am I going to purchase it?? Hell yes, I did several time and I will, again and again unless I find any substitute 🙂

Take care lovelies, Let me know your experience if you tried any of these….. Much love for today 🙂
