About the product:

MUA Luxe Velvet lip lacquer comes in a very classic yet trendy packaging. Velvety touch is everywhere in the packaging. Anyone will fall in love with that gold black composition. The tube is mainly plastic but quality is surprisingly amazing and you surely can’t ignore that frosty glass look.

About the color Reckless:

I’ll define Reckless as a perfect Asian bridal red yet so wearable in anytime. It has slight blue or cool undertone in it though with light it does warm up a lot. I won’t say it’s a wine red because it’s way vibrant than a wine shade.

My experience:

Like all other velvety lip product by other brands, this one is also matte and a bit drying yet not that much that it will squeeze your lip off. If you prep your lip well then dry matte finish wont be a problem. The formula and pigmentation is fantastic compared to the price, applies smoothly without leaving any streaks or uneven color patch, gives enough time to work with, last long and of course doesn’t bleed or transfer if its not wet.

MUA Luxe Velvet Reckless

Now, what I found as draw back… If you touch both of your lip before its completely dry then it crumbles. With the time you will definitely touch both your lips for talking or whatever, you will feel some crumbled particle into your mouth… kind of ewe, huh! As well as, if you eat or drink you will find the lacquer crumbled a lot from the inside of lip as the picture shown.

The solution is simple, don’t eat or you also can re apply after eating. Another thing I noticed, the more heavily you apply it more it tends to crumble. So I would suggest apply max two coats.

Removing the product is not hard job either, comes off easily with normal cleanser.

MUA Luxe Velvet Reckless

Overall, MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer Reckless was definitely loved at first sight with a very high expectation. Guess what, it did please me and I don’t mind to ignore those drawbacks I mentioned. This product is definitely worth to try.

Last word, I see everywhere people are raving that Mua Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer’s are a dupe of LimeCrime Velvetines that I don’t agree. Yes, its a similar product yet has huge difference in formula, as well as texture.

This is it for today… Hope you’ll find the post helpful. Do follow and share your opinion.

Review & Swatch: MUA matte lipstick Totally Nude

2
Hello Guys..
Hope you all doing well.
Few days ago an online cosmetic shop(BD) Smart Shopping sent me three Makeup Academy(MUA) matte lipstick for reviewing purpose. Today I’m reviewing one of them named “Totally Nude”.
Keep in mind that my reviews are based on my honest opinion and I’m not paid or biased by anyone.
Lets get started…..
About the product:
This matte lipsticks are new addition to MUA range. They comes in a white packaging but same as their regular design. Each one contains 3.8g of product. This white packaging is so sleek to look at, I absolutely fell in love with the packaging. It has nice and kind of sweet smell in it which you can never find wrong.
 My experience and thoughts:
My previous experience with MUA regular lipstick was good and of-course I am a big fan of MUA product, as well as, I’m always a matte lipstick lover so when I first saw this lipstick I was so excited to try it. The shade ‘totally nude’ looks so perfectly nude in the stick.

The lipstick has smooth waxy but matte texture. Doesn’t feel drying at all also transfers less and last long.
But there is a thing, they are not pigmented at all. It is so hard to get the color. The swatch shown on hand, this was after 6/7 stroke. Also it needs to rub rub and rub so hardly to get the color. Even it was more horrible when i applied on my lip. I’m a deep toned girl and obviously my lips are not pink, they are kind of dark at the edges. I had to swipe over and over to build color, even texture and cover up the darkness of lip… Gosh, i was like fighting with a lipstick!! because of over coating I got some some pigmentation but the patchy texture… My lips looked so gross and just like a dead mans lip!!!

Seriously, I liked the packaging, waxy finish and all but If I say i liked the lipstick i would be lying, I simply hated the pigmentation. This was my first disappointment by any MUA product.

However, I ended up giving it away to my sister and she also hated the fact about pigmentation.

Nothing else to say, hope my post will help you.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box | Review & Swatch

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

Alert!!! This is a picture heavy post 🙂

So, I got this Urban Decay Deluxe shadow box in hand a week ago. One of my dear sister actually insist me to get one as because she was in love with this. Urban Decay was offering sale for this one couple of month ago so of-course I got it in sale price. Since I got this palette I’m so in love and no regrets at all.

This shadow box has very fancy velvet fabric covered packaging and also has metal embellishment that makes it quite Luxy to look at.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box comes with 9 eye shadow, 2 sponge applicator and a mini eyeshadow primer potion. Every shadow got names as you can see from the picture below…

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

Lets take a look at the swatch. All are applied in just one stroke without any primer. All shadows here are shimmery, smooth and velvety in texture, well pigmented also applies evenly.

First row from left: Fishnet, Honey, Ransom
Middle row from left: Graffiti, Zero, Peace
Last row from left: Shag Scratch, Underground

Now, more close swatch….

FISHNET:

A very nice purply pink. Looks more lighter when applied and in daylight.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

HONEY:
A supper yellow gold or you can say pure metallic gold color. Love this shade, definitely every one wants to have a pure gold shadow in their collection.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

RANSOM:
This shade is kind of blue purple but turns more like purple when applied and blended.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

GRAFFITI:
A minty green color, some how looks pastel or neon type in pot but when applied its not that neon.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

ZERO:
A metallic black but not fully black, I would like it more if it was a peach black.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

PEACE:
A bright and shimmery ocean blue.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

SHAG:
A light copper or I can say soft caramel kind of color. A perfect shade for neutral shadow lover.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

SCRATCH:
A soft pink-ish champagne shade. Perfect as highlighter.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

UNDERGROUND:
Very soft metallic bronze or taupe shade. I loved it as a transition color.

Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow Box

This palette certainly holds a great variety of colors for those who love to play with color as well as for neutral lover. However, this is not a palette for those who look for matte eye shadow. Despite of being metallic they are not chunky at all, they are so fine in texture and gives pure satin finish.

I literally fell in love with this. Overall, it’s a great palette to have in your collection.

Review: Revlon Age Defying Concealer with Botafirm/ SPF 20

2
Hello there…
Hope you doing fantastic !
Today’s review is on Revlon Age Defying Concealer with Botafirm/ SPF 20
Product worth around BDT 400/- to 500/-
Available in any good cosmetic store in Bangladesh.
Product comes in a metal pot attached in a deep blood red case covered by transparent plastic box(sorry, cant show the plastic packaging because I trashed that long ago). Packaging is pretty satisfactory overall.
There is a ingredient list back of the case, have a look if you want……

The shade medium is completely yellow under-toned. The concealer has thick creamy consistency without any extra smell. This 2.8g pot last really long because you’ll need a really small amount to cover your imperfection.

Now, this is a medium to heavy coverage concealer. Covers pretty much everything like blemishes, redness, acne, spots, scars etc.. Blends nicely into skin but if you over layer or over powder it then it does get cakey and creases under the eye area.

I have been having this for long and use it occasionally only when i need heavy coverage and loving this for its coverage as well as the under tone. If you can apply it properly then it will last long without creasing or fading. This concealer also works good as an eye-shadow base.

This product didn’t cause me any breakout or skin problem.

Good thing is, there are lot more shades available in BD market so you can pick your one easily. So if you haven’t tried it yet and looking for a heavy duty concealer then give this one a try.

Hope you liked this short review….
Take care till the next post and don’t forget to let me know your opinion.

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer | Medium 004

16
Hello Guys !!
Hope you all doing well….
Another product is up for review today. Its Revlon PhotoReady Concealer.
My shade is Medium(004), bought it from Bodyline, worth around BDT 500/- to 550/-.
[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]
[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]
Revlon PhotoReady concealer in shade 004 swatch
Its been quite a while I’ve been using this. As you can see from the picture, I’m almost at the end.
Revlon PhotoReady concealer in shade 004, blended
Packaging of the product is sleek and sturdy plastic twist up tube, like a lipstick. I was impressed by the packaging quality as because after this long and rough use the lid didn’t crack at all, like most of the drugstore product lid does crack within a month.
Product texture is so smooth and creamy, blends like heaven with no sent. This shade is warm toned and was just perfect for my under eye area. Gives light to medium coverage yet you can not build it to full coverage. Covers redness, light spots, blemishes perfectly but if you have dark spot or acne scar then you might have to look for something else. This product sets nicely with any powder and last 3/4 hour without fading.
It does crease a bit in the under eye area though because of its creamy consistency.
Overall, if you have quite fresh skin then you going to love this concealer yet if you have scars and dark spots then it will not do your job properly.
If you are looking for warm toned light to medium coverage concealer then I will recommend you to try Revlon PhotoReady Concealer.
Hope you’ll find the post helpful. do let me know your opinion.

Flormar Clean Care Facial Cleansing Gel

12
This is going to be a rally short review because I have nothing much but good things to say about Flormar Clean Care Facial Cleansing Gel.
Take a look at the ingredient if you want….
I used up total 6 tube of them continuously so i think you can already guess that I become a fan of this product. There is two major point I think of while judging a facial cleanser, how it cleans even with makeup, is it drying on skin or not. Now, Flormar cleanser passed both of this test from my first use.

It comes in a paper like pink plastic tube. I found the packaging design, color n composition very girly. the tube cap is a little cheap kind of though, its not smooth enough to open n close. Tube contains 150ml of product. As mentioned in the packaging, this is for all skin type.

Product itself is transparent gel in consistency which is not thick like jelly but sort of watery.
Smells nothing. Glides on smoothly when applied. It doesn’t create much foam when applied with hand but with facial bush you’ll see lot of foam. Because of the consistency it needs a bit more product than usual for one use, which is why the tube runs out quite fast.
Now the best part, it cleans really deep. My waterproof mascara was gone totally in two simple wash. And most importantly, I found most of the cleanser dry out skin after wash which I hate but this one doesn’t do that. Skin feels properly clean, not drying and soft after using Flormar cleanser.

Another thing to say, this product didn’t break me out at all….

So, i fell in love with this. I only found this Chamomile flavor in my local store, no idea if they have more variety. I you haven’t tried this yet I do recommend you to try.

Thanks for reading. Do not forget to post your opinion and subscribe the blog.

Product that I Regret buying: Olay total effect day cream, Olay natural white day & night cream

10
You must have already know about all these Olay skin care range. I bought them to try as well. Well, didnt bought and tried all at once but gradually. Now, had horrible experience with them all.
First bought Olay Total Effect 7 in one day cream. They are available in two type Normal and sensitive. I picked the normal one. Its was not well absorbing formula at all, I felt greasy withing 15min(I have combination skin type). And the horrible fact, I got breakout within 6 days, three nasty pimple at once. I had to stop using that right away.
[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]
Later, ofcourse when my skin was fresh I got Olay natural white day and night cream. I used the night cream first and holla… my skin breakout in 7 days.
After recovering again I tried the Olay natural white day cream.. and guess what!! within three days my skin breakout terribly like never before. This time I was cursed with six pimple and they were supper bad than ever. For the first time in my life I was literally crying like hell for my skin !! They took 2 long month to cure and left dirty spots on my spotless skin. God knows what not I tried to remove those spot !! Its been more than six month and still those spots are there but yeh I did recovered a lot. Currently, they faded away to almost invisible .

My skin is kind of tough in case of breaking out. Generally I hardly get breakouts unless its a supper bad product that I use. Regretted like never before for buying these products.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]
Overall, needless to say that I wont even think of buying these products again and will not recommend any one.
Hope this short review will help you.

The Cheapest eye shadow + glitter of the world… and my thoughts

24
I get too many queries about these eyeshadows and glitter every day, so thought to do a quick picture heavy post to share my thoughts about them.
If you live here in Bangladesh I guess you already know about these non-brand local eyeshadow and glitters. Yes yes, the are the cheapest eye products of the world. each pot will costs you only 10-20 BDT. Though they are extra ordinary cheap but these eye shadows are extra ordinary pigmented aswell and they will last forever until you want to clean them.
If You are my old follower you must have seen me using them quite often.
About the eyeshadow….
They comes in a of-course cheap plastic(mostly white or maroon) pot with transparent plastic lid. The color kept in a metal pan attached with that pot. They are a bit creamy in texture, supper highly pigmented, and shiny when applied and hey last forever without creasing or fading.

There is several brand name label in the back of the pot but dont bother that, they are not for real… I guess manufacturers attach those label only to give it a name !!

Glitters are also comes in a transparent plastic pot. They are reasonably fine in texture. I’m not any glitter person but I used LAsplash glitters and haven’t found any difference between both.

If I talk about quality, well, I cant assure you anything as because they don’t come with any ingredient list or anything.

So the highly marked question is, are they safe?

Because of their price and other packaging/marketing flaws there is so many controversial thoughts about them. Some people says, they are nothing but raw color pigments, some says they occur allergy, some says they doesn’t comes off even with any makeup remover or soap.. etc etc.

These product are highly used stuff in Bangladeshi beauty saloon. Now, you can ask why are they using such cheap and non-labeled product. No one can answer that i guess, probably because no one can ignore their pigmentation!!

However, I’m here to share my own experience…
I, myself using them since i learned about makeup. Usually i use them as my eye shadow base. whenever I need a deep and settle base for my eye makeup, I swear I cant think without these… no product gave me perfect base better than these so far.

Have I faced any allergic reaction??
..No, not at all. My eyes are supper sensitive and I often wear lenses yet I haven’t faced any allergic issues with them.

Have I faced problem taking them off?
Normally, I remove my eye makeup with wet wipes soaked in baby oil and finally wash off with facial cleanser. Two swipe of wet tissue has been always enough for me to clean eyemakup created with these shadows.
So, yes I haven’t faced any problem to take them off.

just wiped off with dry tissue… they do leave a stain.
However, I myself like these products a lot.
But do I recommend? well, In that case I wont say a word… yeh, I’m kind of saving my a** from the controversy!! I shared my experience and thoughts, now if you want to use them or not that’s up to you and at your own risk.
You’ll find them in any local cosmetic/saloon product supplier shops in Bangladesh.
I usually depot them and keep them all together in a DIY CD/DVD eye palette 🙂

..Hope you like the post and my thoughts will help you to decide something about these products whether to try them or not!!
…Take care till the next post…
