This the 2nd bottle of Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum that I’m about to finish. I’ve been using this retinol serum almost continuously since Murad Malaysia launched it here. I’ve talked about what Murad claims about this product in my previous article. You’ll find about the technology and all other information there.
Today I’ll be sharing my own experience with it, review you can say!
I tried to use retinol products long ago when I was in my 20’s. You know how the skin care craze is! That time my experience with retinol was a fail. I ended up with skin peeling horror story. After that, I never reached for any concentrated retinol product.
I’m in my 30’s now and so it was kinda exciting to give Murad Retinol Serum a try. I was hopeful as well from the beginning because Murad Skincare hardly turns out disappointing. As I said at the beginning that I’m using the 2nd bottle, which, of course, means I’ve already repurchased the product. You can already guess that I’ve been liking the Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum.
But let me tell you in details, why I’ve been linking this Retinol Serum and how it actually been working for me.

How I Use Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum
The first thing caught my eyes about this serum that there is no percentage of retinol is officially mentioned. Did some digging on the web and failed. I was skeptical because of my previous skin peeling experience.
I started using Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum at night only. Retinol ( a form of Vitamin A) increases the sun sensitivity and a retinol product is always suggested to use at night. I follow all the regular steps, cleansing, toning, a lighter serum (if I’m using any), and then I use the retinol serum. Just before the moisturizer.
Murad Youth Renewal Retinol Serum is not like other regular serum. It is more like a thin cream that instantly absorbs into the skin and feels almost mattifying. The scent it has is almost undetectable. The pump bottle packaging makes it so convenient to use. I like the fact that one pump was always enough for my entire face. Thus, the 1oz bottle lasts quite long. After all, this is a pricey product!
Murad Retinol Serum Benefits I Experienced
After two three weeks of use, I actually didn’t notice anything remarkable except my skin was doing quite well. Obviously, I can’t determine anything on the basis of that feeling. There were quite a few other skin care products as well which was contributing to maintaining a healthy skin.
It was around in the 7th week when I first noticed some difference in my skin. My skin texture, specifically the cheekbone area and under eye area, was looking was smoother than before. There was a bit of texture I can’t say from when. When I noticed that change in my skin texture I felt pumped up instantly.
The first bottle lasted me around 3 months, maybe a bit more. I was loving my skin so I’ve decided to continue it, got the second one. Now, till today, actually, that is the one major benefit I’m noticing from the Murad Retinol Serum. Did give using it a break as well, intentionally, to see if it reverse the effect! Found out, no it doesn’t.
Any other benefit?
Yes, there are some! My skin feels softer and brighter when I use the serum religiously.
I took a beach holiday in between. When I came back I was sunburned. The Retinol Serum, I believe, helped me to get rid of the suntan more quickly from my face and neck. However, any of my fine lines didn’t go away or vanished magically!
Youth Renewal, skin transforming, glow-boosting etc terms are juicy to ears where I believe in result only. I absolutely loved the improvement of my skin texture. It pleased me by not giving any skin sensitivity issue or so. The serum and its quality made me consider spending on just a serum that has a hefty (to be practical) price tag. Wish it wasn’t this expensive. After all, who wouldn’t like a smooth skin texture?
Are you using any Retinol Serum that you love? Let me know in the comment below.

What I’ve tried from Murad has always been nice. I would want to know the % of retinol on this.
I was curious about the % of retinol too. Unfortunately couldn’t find it anywhere, not in murad site or elsewhere in the web.

I’ve never heard of this serum until now. Thanks for sharing this product with us. It is a bit too pricey for me at this time but I will keep it in mind for later.
