Copper and Green Eye Makeup!

Copper And Green Eye Makeup

Other  Day I was trying my Sleek Garden of Eden palette (review and swatch here.. ) and ended up with this copper and green eye makeup.

Pic-torial on this eye look below…

Copper And Green Eye Makeup

First to create this copper and green eye look of-course I started with a primed base. Used my Essence I heart stage eyeshadow base for that. In the second step I used ‘Forbidden’ a brownish taupe shade from sleek palette to define the crease. Filled eyelid with ‘gates of eden’ a golden copper shade, applied ‘Fauna’ and ‘Tree of Life’ shade of green mixed in the outer corner. All shades are from the same Sleek palette. To enhance the eye look a bit more applied MAC ‘Copper Sparkle’ pigment just in the middle of lid. In the fifth step lined my water line with Lakme Eyeconic kajal then blended lower lid with ‘Forbidden’. Lined upper lid with Lakme Eyeconic kajal and Ioni liquid liner in black. Higglighted my browbone and tear duct with The Balm ‘Mary-lou-manizer’. Lastly. applied few coats of mascara and my copper green eye makeup was done.

Finished look…

*Sleek garden of eden shadow palette
*MAC copper sparkle pigment

Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatch

10

Sleek Makeup Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette

Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette Comes in usual Sleek black palette form also with a dual tip sponge applicator. This palette has variety of greens, pinkish neutrals and few warm grunge-brown shade. I found Garden Of Eden palette quite interesting for its color selection. Apart from the greens, those neutrals and browns are quite catchy to have in one palette.

Unfortunately, Sleek Makeup is not available in Bangladesh. I got my one through online shop.

Sleek Makeup Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette

You’ll find some application instruction/suggestion back of the paper packet! All shadow named beautifully printed in a extra plastic film which I hate. That name film is apparently a hassle to keep! I really wish they would print the names in the palette.

Here’s the swatch with no primer or any base…..

Sleek Makeup Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow Palette
Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow: Upper Row
Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow: Lower Row
Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow: Lower Row

This palette has beautiful combination of matte &shimmer, dark to light shades. All of them are pretty smooth in texture and well pigmented except ‘Adam’s Apple’ feels quite chalky. From upper row ‘Forbidden’ and from lower row ‘Entwined’ doesn’t appear much visible(without primer) in my skin tone but I found them great(with primer) as transition shade.

The eye look below I created with Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow palette.
Used ‘Forbidden’ in the crease, ‘Fauna’ & ‘Tree of Life’ in the outer corner and Filled  eyelid with ‘Gates of Eden’.
However, there is two color here which is not from the eye look with Sleek Garden Of Eden palette. I used a bit of MAC ‘Copper Sparkle’ pigment in the center of the lid and The Balm ‘Mary-Lou-Manizer’ to highlight brow bone. Hope you can separate that from other shade.

eye look with Sleek Garden Of Eden Eyeshadow palette

All shades(except ‘Adams Apple) comes with this palette is satisfactory in quality, blends seamlessly and opacity is buildable up to expectation with a proper base. Loved the variety of colors, this palette can come handy for any look from day to night, soft to deep-dramatic.

Overall, I wont say this palette is a must have but its a good one to have in collection specially if you are fond of green shades 🙂

Essence Cosmetics Haul ~~~ all makeup item this time!

Essence Cosmetics Haul
Essence Cosmetics Haul

Yes! I have been hauling more from Essence Cosmetics. As long as Essence stand is available in my local store now so wanted to try those popular product by this brand. I was happy to see all Products by Essence are reasonably price here in BD.

What I got is…..

Essence All About Matte Fixing Loose Powder
Essence Cosmetics All about Matte Fixing Loose Powder

Essence Cosmetics All About Matte Loose Powder cost BDT 490/-. There is a compact form available internationally of this powder, sadly that isn’t available here in Bangladesh. So, i picked this one. The powder itself is white, looks quite like silica powder.

Essence Cosmetics I Heart Stage Eyeshadow Base
Essence Cosmetics I Heart Stage Eyeshadow Base

Essence Cosmetics I Heart Stage Eyeshadow Base costs BDT 360/-. It is a beige color shadow base. I tried it once so far, luckily the pigmentation doesn’t bother shadow color.

Essence Cosmetics I Heart Extreme Mascara

Essence Cosmetics I Heart Extreme Mascara costs BDT 360/- …Love the pink packaging 🙂

Essence Cosmetics Gel Liner Midnight In Paris
Essence Cosmetics Gel Liner Midnight In Paris

Essence Cosmetics Gel Liner Midnight In Paris costs BDT460/-.

This is probably the much raved product by essence. I was so excited to try this one but had really bad experience purchasing this one. After coming back home when I open the pot saw the gel liner was completely dried out and shrank inside. Even it was hard to poke by nails as you can see from the picture. The next day I took it back to the store. Store Assistant tried to give me a change but found out each and every gel liner in their stock was in the same condition. The ask for time to contact distributor. Two days later they inform me their whole stock is in same condition so they cant change it! They tried to make me believe this gel liner suppose to be like that. I was like, whaah, haven’t I ever used any gel liner before!? However, this was totally a disappointment. Guys, be alert before buying this gel liner from BD store.

Except the Gel liner I’m quite happy with this Essence Cosmetics haul. Looking forward to play and experiment with them. Have you tried any product by Essence Cosmetics yet? Let me know which one is your favorite, I would love to try that to 🙂

Essence Cosmetics Nail polish Haul and Thoughts…

Essence Cosmetics Nailpolish

Hello there…
If you are following me on Facebook then you already know that couple of week before I hauled from Essence. Yes, recently few shops are having Essence Cosmetics stand here in Bangladesh. I’m a fan of their clear mascara since I know Essence Cosmetics yet haven’t really tried their other product. I was quite excited to try their nail polishes. As soon as I got to know that my local store having Essence Cosmetics stand I literally ran there and bought all these polishes! Craizy me!!

I got.. from top left:

*that’s what I mint!
*free hugs
*crazy fancy love
*the green & the grunge
*wanna be your sunshine
*lol
*space queen
*break through
*gel look topcoat
*nail art express dry drops
*off to miami!

I have been trying trying all these colors around the week and I have to say I’m totally impressed by the quality of essence nail polish. They are thin in texture, they it takes 2/3 coats to get the opaque color but for deeper shades 2 coat is more than enough. Does dry within a decent amount of time and once it dry its on for long! I was surprised to see that with all my kitchen job my nail polish didn’t chip a bit for four days! I believe, they would even last more if I didnt have to do kitchen task. For me the lasting power was excellent and I don’t really keep same manicure more than four days, I get bored.

Between all these ‘space queen’ is my favorite! Its a glitter topcoat with fine holographic glitter. These days I feel line putting it on with every polish I wear 🙂

Another favorite of mine is ‘the green & the grunge’. I never had such beautiful green in my collection before.

Essence the green & the grunge

However, I’m totally disappointed with Essence Gel-look topcoat. Gel-look, that’s a big no! It doesn’t give any sort of gel look, top of that, it doesn’t dry. I put it on over night, it didn’t work. Additionally, the topcoat forms bubble withing 30 minute which was literally annoying. I also tried the Essence express dry drop over the gel-look topcoat but didn’t work at all. About the express dry drops, its nothing fancy! Just like all other dry drops available in market.

Summer Party! …a vibrant look with fun color

Summer party

Summer Party! …a vibrant look with fun color yet not harsh to look at!

Hello there people.. yes I know after long break I finally came up with another makeup. A month before my skin wasn’t really doing well so I gave it a bit of rest from all complex cosmetics 🙂 Now my skin is back in its healthy stage so I’m back with makeup!

For this look I focused in eye, used all matte colors also kept the lips nude to keep up the softness. Choose blue, coral pink and mint to create summer fun. This look is perfect for summer party as well as it can be easily worn at day time.

Lets begin the eye tutorial:

Summer party

1. Start off with a primed base. Apply coral pink shade allover the lid.
2. With a soft ash color define the crease from outer side.
3. Now apply blue color just in the outer part of the lid. Blend that in the crease.
4. Highlight brow bone with a matte golden shadow. From inner side line 2/3 of lower line with a mint green shadow. Rest of the part fill with blue and connect with upper line. Then I lined a thick line 2/3 of the upper lid here with black kajal to give it a fun look. You can of-course line anyway you want.
5. Now the fun part… apply a withe kohl pencil in the water line, that will open up your eyes.

Rest is simple, put on few coats of mascara… you are done with eyes!

Here’s the final look…

Hope you liked my take on Summer Party look 🙂 Do let me know your opinion.

Product I used here:
*BHcosmetics 10 color concealer palette for whole base and contouring
*Revlon DNA advantage concealer
*ELF HD powder in corrective yellow
*Sleek face form for contour touch up, blush and highlight
*BHcosmetics flawless brow kit in shade dark
*Essence iI love stage shadow base
*BHcosmetics 120 shadow palette 2nd edition
*Lakme eyeconic kajal in black & white
*Maybelline volume express falsies mascara
*For lips I used mix of two shade, MAC kinda sexy and Flormar elegant terracotta

Maybelline Colossal Kajal! …Is it worth the hype??

2

Maybelline Colossal Kajal

Maybelline Colossal Kajal, at the moment the most trending kohl pencil in Indian continent. I have been meaning to put my words about this product for long, finally here I am!

These daysColossal Kajal is widely available in Bangadeshi market, price varies on shop from BDT600/- to 350/-. Dont know why I was not really tempted to try this at the beginning so didn’t got any by myself until a friend of mine brought this one from India as a gift 🙂

Maybelline Colossal Kajal

The bright yellow and black packaging of Maybelline Colossal Kajal is quite eye catching! This vibrant color composition stand out among all the product in my dresser. The product claims to apply smoothly with intense black color which stays up to 12 hour. It also claims to be opthalmologically tested and suitable for contact lens wearer.

Maybelline Colossal Kajal

I use kajal only in my water line. My first requirement for a good kajal is smooth texture. This Kajal has deep black pigmentation yet it doesn’t comes opaque in one stroke. The kajal is not smooth enough to glide on easily in waterline. You have to swipe it several time to get that opaque black color. It is smudge free as it claims and last quite long. Comes off only with makeup remover or oil. See the swatch below….

Maybelline Colossal Kajal

How I compare Maybelline Colossal Kajal and Loreal Kajal Magique(review here)? I’ll say both are pretty much same and does the same job except Maybelline Colossal Kajal is just a bit more blackish black. I really wish if they would be a bit more in smooth side!

In terms of my preference, smoothness, Maybelline Colossal Kajal didn’t pass out. I’m not going to repurchase for sure. However, as a normal smudge free pencil kajal in a budget price you might like it.

Have you tried Maybelline Colossal Kajal?? How was your experience??

Meena Herbal Oil Control Face Wash

4

Meena Herbal Oil Control Face Wash

Meena Herbal oil control face wash was sent to me by the company to try out.
Available in any good cosmetic store. 60g tube costs BDT120/-

Product comes in a plastic tube same as their other face wash. Meena Herbal oil control face wash is a clay based facewash, claims to have clove and cinnamon extract which is specially made for oil and pimple control, suitable for normal to oily skin.

Meena Herbal Oil Control Facewash
Meena Herbal Oil Control Facewash

Meena Herbal oil control face wash has buttery smooth texture and soft yellow color in it, I hardly feel clay in it, smells somewhat artificial. The product claims to deep clean skin yet I didn’t find it much helpful while cleaning makeup, I would sort this facewash as a mild one. Does control oil for 2/3 hours and skin doesn’t feel dried out after washing with it.

I don’t want to talk much about this product but a shocking truth! My skin broke out in the 2nd day of using this face wash while it claims to control pimple. I must clear it to you, I wasn’t using any other new product while I started using this face wash. The face wash simply broke my heart and ofcourse I trashed it right away! However, another fact, a product which doesn’t work for my skin might work best for your skin because every skin is different!

Have you tried Meena Herbal oil control face wash?
How was your experience??

***Note that, I’m not paid or biased to do this review. Everything stated here completely based on my honest opinion.
Another important thing is, I’m no specialist or chemist. I know very little about chemical formulation and choose my product only depending on how it feels/reacts after use. So, If any harmful/controversial ingredient found in the ingredient list then you should definitely ignore my opinion and make your own decision toward the product.

The Balm Voyage Makeup Palette

The Balm Voyage Makeup Palette

The Balm Voyage! Makup Palette, a sexy palette to look at like all other The Balm Cosmetic product. The palette includes sixteen eyeshadow and three lip/cheek stain. This particular palette come with travel themed cardboard packaging, quite big in size, two separate flap compartment for  eyeshadow and stain.
Costs around $42 in The Balm Website.

In the back part of The Balm Voyage! Makeup palette you’ll find picture of all shadows and stain with little instruction. A mirror is also attached with the shadow flap. The packaging is ofcourse lovely however I found while I was traveling with this palette apart of being a travel themed product its not travel friendly at all because of its size and flap covers.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

The Balm Voyage Makeup Palette

All these sixteen eyesadow in The Balm Voyage! palette Named according to a plane sit number, interesting.. isn’t it? There are mixture of texture and consistency, some are sparkly, some are satin, some are matte and some give really good color pay off. Therefore the sparkly one has very fine glitter particle in it so they are not that chunky or anything. I really loved satin finished one, they are smooth and buttery in texture. Matte shadows are also good but probably one or two of the is a bit powdery.

Lets get into close swatch…
All swatched in one stroke without any primer or base.

And the lip/cheek stains are….

The Balm Voyage Makeup Palette

The Balm Voyage!
The Balm Voyage! lip/cheek stains

Lip/cheek stains in The Balm Voyage palette are well pigmented and glossy in finish. I loved them for my cheek, they stays long without budging a bit.

The Balm Voyage makeup palette is a good one to have in collection yet in terms of color variety of shadows it didn’t impress me much. The flap cover doesn’t attach strongly thus I felt quite insecure to move around with it. I bought mine in a sale therefore I don’t really regret but with its full price I would probably reach for some other palette.
