Bottle green and dusky violet smokey eye!

4

This is so not spring kinda look, isn’t it? Yet can be fit for any night out or party. Recently I kind of rediscovered this deep brown lipstick by Jackelin from my drawer, it was left behind for long. I think this lipstick only gives this look a big focus, takes this in a Gothic side.

Lets get into the eye tutorial…..

As usually, start with a primed eye. Highlight your brow bone with a soft matte gold eye shadow.

Apply a brownish green shadow in the inner corner.

Take a bottle green shadow apply it allover the lid leaving the crease empty.

Now take your dusky violet and apply that in the crease area.

Take a darker green shadow and apply it in the outer corner of eyes and blend everything nicely.

Take your violet shadow again and line your lower lashline with that.

Now the final step, Line your upper lashline, put on some mascara and tend your brows.

Your eye makeup is done…… now you can move on to to other thing.

Hope you liked the look… !!!

Makeup Academy (MUA) Pressed Powder: shade 4

0

Hello there….
Today I’m here to talk about MUA pressed powder shade 4 but in a different perspective.
This powder is from their most popular £1 range.

As you can see from the picture, product comes in a basic square shaped clear plastic case. Texture of powder is fine, matte in finish with very good pigmentation. It has surprisingly good staying power. Shade 4 has warm muddy tone in it.

I don’t remember why exactly I bought my first one in shade 4 which is quite dark for my skin tone(for ref. I’m NC40/42 in MAC shade). Because of the wrong shade it was just sitting on my drawer for long. Then suddenly I discovered it works perfectly or I can say amazingly, as bronzer in my skin. The color gives perfect depth yet natural blend to create dimension in cheek bone. The more you blend the more it darken up in skin, stays all day without fading a bit, looks so natural in life also in picture. Since my first use this has been my go to bronzer for daily use. It took me a year to hit my first pan, so yeh, a little goes a long way.

I also have their £1 bronzer but I find them quite reddish for my skin. This pressed powder has been one of my absolute favorite among all MUA product.

Have you tried this product yet???

Revlon Photoready Bronzer | Bronzed & Chic(100)

2

It’s been long that Revlon Photoready bronzer is available in the market but it took me long to get my hands on this awesome product. Last year in summer, as far as I can recall, found this bronzer available locally in BD. I instantly got excited to try, since then completely in love with this product and realized why people rave about this.

Apology, that I took this long to write down my thoughts…

Revlon Photoready Bronzer

Revlon Photoready bronzer comes in sleek black packaging, a little brush compartment is there with a brush as you can see. The brush is poor in quality, I think it was totally unnecessary to include that brush which makes the packaging quite bulky.

Revlon Photoready BronzerRevlon Photoready Bronzer Swatch

The bronzer comes in a pan with four different shade. It has very smooth matte and pressed powder sorta texture, however, doesn’t appear powdery after application. The main great thing about this bronzer is those four shade provide complete freedom of customization as well as allows to be applicable for much different skin tone I believe. Two of these shade are in reddish side and other two has warm bronze tone.

 [wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

The powder applies seamlessly and blends flawlessly into skin without giving any uneven patches. Pigmentation is awesome, a little goes long way also last throughout the day without fading. Its buildable matte finish makes it wearable anytime, even under photo-shooting circumstance it gives that awesome flawless look.

Revlon Photoready Bronzer

Ever since I got this didn’t felt to try anything else. I already made my 2nd purchase and still loving this drugstore bronzer endlessly.

Revlon Photoready bronzer is available in Bodyline for BDT 850/- excluding VAT. If you haven’t get your hands on this bronzer yet then I strongly recommend you to give it a try.

Meena Herbal Miracle Mask

6

Meena Herbal miracle mask was sent to me by the company for reviewing purpose. I guess its been in market for 6 month now yet as a ready mask it is a new product which is manufactured by a Bangladeshi company.

Available in any good cosmetic shop or superstore.
60g tube costs BDT 150/-

Product comes in a plastic tube packaging with crimson red printing design in it.
This clay based mask claims to contain goodness of saffron and milk, promises to unclog pores, deep clean skin, remove dark patches and many more.

This mask is smooth liquidy paste in texture, off white in color. Has really nice but quite strong fragrance in it.

My experience with this mask wasn’t really exciting, not bad either. Applies very smoothly. While applied, for first minute it gives burning/irritating sensation, my skin isn’t sensitive so didn’t understand this fact. Dries quite fast than my other mask, takes only 5/7 minute to dry out completely. Leaves white cast of clay if you wash up only with water, though I always use facewash to clean my face no matter what mask I use. Good thing is, skin feels clean and smooth afterward yet it doesn’t work on tightening skin.

I used this mask alone and also sometimes mixed with fullers-earth(multani mati). I have a secret love for multani mati. I believe it helps to tighten skin so tend to mix that with any mask i use. Surprisingly found that when I used Miracle mask with multani mati it didn’t gave that burning sensation.

Overall, haven’t found anything bad about this new miracle mask by Meena Herbal. Didnt cause me breakout or else. I wont say this is a miracle product yet its a convenient pack of skin care item for your rush time which is pocket friendly as well as easily available in BD. I, myself, already used up 2 pack of this mask including the pack was given by the company, in this point you can say I quite like it.

Have you tried this yet???
What was your experience???

Meena Herbal Body Scrub

Meena Herbal Body Scrub
If you are following me on Facebook page then you already know that a couple of months ago this Body Scrub was sent to me by Meena Herbal for reviewing purpose along with other newly launched Meena Herbal product. Meena Herbal is a Bangladeshi company who recently launched this kind of body and skin care product.
This body scrub is available allover the country and costs BDT 200/- for 100g tube.

Meena Herbal Body ScrubMeena Herbal Body Scrub

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Meena Herbal hand&foot scrub (review here…) and this body scrub is a quite similar product to look at. Comes with same kind of tube packaging, printing color is slightly in the teal side. The texture of both scrubs is same as well, clay based off white creamy texture with a similar amount of fine scrubbing particle in it. Major exception I found is the body scrub smells minty, gives minty sensation in the skin and there is some kind of soapy ingredient in it that polish and cleanse skin quite a bit.

Meena Herbal Body Scrub

Product claims to contain Neem and Mint extracts. I didn’t feel anything Neem yet if you love mint then like me you’ll love this product from very first use. The minty scent and sensation it gives is so calming and absolutely amazing. You might find the scrubbing perticle it has a bit extra fine but trust me, it will make your job done without any effort. They look kind of molecular as a scrubber, but they are strong enough to remove all the dead cells from your skin. Honestly, you will not like those big grains anymore to scrub your skin with when you’ll find such product like this where a molecular thing does the job.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

I love whatever soapy ingredient it has (though it doesn’t lather up) because it provides such smooth and clean feeling afterward.

Meena Herbal Body Scrub

Overall, this product has completely won me. I was so into St.Ives body scrub and since I got this didn’t look back for once, absolutely heart this product. Give it a try if you haven’t yet.

There is one opinion for the company to consider, I wish this body scrub would come in a bigger size pack. It’s a body product right? So we need quite a lot for one use where this 100g pack lasts max 8/9 uses. Who would like to go to the mall and buy the same thing 2/3 times in a month or stock up 2/3 pack at home!

***Note that, I’m not paid or biased to do this review. Everything stated here completely based on my honest opinion.

Covergirl+Olay Concealer balm: Light/Medium 340

0

The Covergirl+Olay concealer balm worth approx $5/6(forgot the actual price). Not available in Bangladesh, you’ll need to order online.

The concealer is fragrance free, comes in a lipstick type of stick as you can see. Packaging is ok but the lid is poor in quality, you’ll find cracks in it within 4/5 use. Product claims like ‘makeup meets skin care’, I totally don’t believe on that because it doesn’t come with air tight lid so whatever the good ingredient it has in it can not be stable with time. I normally hate concealer in a stick as they tend to cake up on skin more than a liquid concealer but surprisingly this one is a bit different. I guess they name it perfectly, a balm, it has exactly the balm like buttery consistency. Glides on skin very smoothly without any effort and also not over moisturizing or even drying underneath the eye area.

I got myself the shade light/medium, which i found a bit dark for my under eye area. However, i started using it for daily basis. It gives, highest, medium coverage so will not cover much if you have any dark spot on face. Initially, i like it for its smoothness and glideon quality but later on i noticed the product gets into under eye fine line and creases within 2 hour even with a setting powder, probably because my skin is in a oily side. Product’s overall staying power on face is maximum 4/5 hour without fading.

Lastly, i’ll say this is just a so so quality type drugstore concealer. When I have nothing to use and not much to care about my look i might reach for this one. This is no new product and there is quite rave about this but sorry to say, this concealer failed to satisfy me.

Spring Makeup | How I Dressed Up To Celebrate The First Day of Spring

4

Probably we Bangladeshi are the only nationality who welcome Falgun(Spring) with a heart full of enthusiasm and colors. This time in Bangladesh, anyone can see and literally feel how the life is coming back in nature and spreading that into us after a cold winter. By carrying the bright and warm color of Marigold and doing so many cultural activities we all welcome the first day of Falgun(spring). Yes, of course, I was no exception this year, though felt a bit lazy in the morning yet couldn’t resist seeing myself mingle with that spring-tinge. I wore saree, you know what, this is always the hardest thing for me to do. But hey, its Falgun… can’t think to celebrate this day without saree 🙂 So, this was my today’s Spring Makeup to celebrate Pohela Falgun….
