Sleek MakeUP Enchanted Forest Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatch

First thing first, drum roll peeps, YASS, Sleek MakeUP is now officially available at Sephora stores here in Malaysia. You can see, swatch and pick your favorites physically!
Sleek MakeUP ‘s iDivine shadow palettes are my old love. I got around 6/7 palettes earlier. If you’re following me on my social media then you already know, very recently I was gifted (thanks a bunch) this Enchanted Forest one by Sleek Malaysia. This isn’t a new palette, I guess it came in the market early 2015 or before that. I was keen to get this when it launched but it was always hard to get the Sleek product because they weren’t really available.

Needless to mention, my excitement went over the head when I got to know that from now Sleek Makeup will be available just in my closest store!

Sleek Makeup Enchanted Forest Eyeshadow Palette

It’s the same classic black packaging of Sleek. Nothing much to talk about that. I love the color selection of Sleek Enchanted Forest palette. There is 4 matte shade, 2 shades are kinda satin and rest of them are metallic. I’m always a fan of deep colors thus this palette takes a plus point. Love that there are shades of gold-browns, blues, burgundy along with a couple of cool toned green.

I ‘m finding myself loving those cool-ashy greens more from this palette. That red burgundy-ish shade (Anastasia) reminds me of Makeup Geek Bitten. Anastasia has been a staple for my lower lash line ever since I got this palette. I’m looking forward to wearing that golden shade, Pumpkin, very soon. Afterall, golden hues are life for my tan skin :p

All swatch shown above are without any primer or such thing. As always pigmentation of Sleek eyeshadow gives no scope to complain. However, the shade Glass Slipper is a bit powdery to use. Metallic shades are ‘the bomb’ in this palette and mattes are pretty decent. I fall in love with Sleek Makeup once again… haha!

This is a moisturizer but with broad spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ and visible blurring effect. Invisiblur Perfecting Shield creates the flawless base while giving skin hydration, sun care and anti-aging benefits it needs. As because it blurs out the pores and gives skin a smoothing effect, yes, it works amazing as a foundation primer. I’ve been hooked to Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield for the past two weeks. The outcome is impressive and it goes with any of my foundations. In fact, helps to keep my base makeup intact throughout the day.

I’m happy that this was the full-size product in the box because trust me, I kinda forgot all my other makeup primer.

 

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture | 15ml

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Phenoxyethanol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Xylitylglucoside, Phenyl Trimethicone, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Anhydroxylitol, Isohexadecane, Chlorphenesin, Allantoin, Urea.

I can’t recall if I ever experienced any other moisturizer (except gel creams) that is more lightweight and grease free than Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture. This moisturizer is true to its claim, deeply moisturizes skin for a long time without being fussy. The goodness of Coconut Extract, Shea Butter, Avocado, Sunflower, and Olive Fruit Oils ensures restore suppleness and support the skin’s natural protective barrier. The formula is also combined with Hydro-Dynamic® Quenching Essence for 5x the hydrating power.

I love how luxurious it feels on the skin, so oily or stickiness, no heavy feeling but soft and supple skin. Moreover, you just need a pea amount of product for one use. This 15ml jar seems to last me for a month at least. Without any doubt the best high-end moisturizer I’ve used so far.

Murad Skin Care | Eye Lift Treatment

This eye treatment is something new I’ve tried. The treatment get comes in the pump and cotton like pads you get within the package. After cleansing my face I applied 3 pumps to the under-eye area (as instructed) in a generous layer then gently pat in the pad over the gel. After 10-15 minutes removed the eye pads and got less tired looking eyes.

The picture above is just after using the eye lift treatment. I tried the treatment in my right under eye only to see the difference. In the first use, honestly, I could see only less darkness than the other eye but the lifting effect wasn’t much visible. While using the treatment there was some cooling sensation in my under eye area thus after removing the pad it was very refreshing there. I believe if I use the treatment continuously it will surely give me some visible lifting result.

 

I find this box is totally a bargain. The full-size Invisible Perfecting Shield alone worth the price of the full box. If you’re new to Murad Skin Care like me then I think this is the best chance to try out their product without spending a lot. And of course, they have a few variations of boxes so you can pick according to your needs. Hurry if you’re interested in the boxes because they will be available till the stock last.

However, I highly recommend buying (if you don’t mind high-end skincare) the Invisiblur Perfecting Shield as a primer/day protecting moisturizer and the Hydro-Dynamic moisture if you’re looking for a fuss-free but effective moisturizer.

Feeling depressed is normal but when your depression gets to an intense level and that is not leaving you for more than a couple of weeks then dearie your stage is clinical? Depression is a treatable medical condition, we just need to educate ourselves.

The Year End Sale is back at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang! To celebrate the festive holidays and usher in 2017, the outlet mall has come up with a host of fun activities to engage its patrons. The activities are timed to allow parents to bring their kids over for a fun time as part of their school break family outing. The incentive to visit includes a Jolly Christmas Sale mall-wide with up to 90% off list prices from 18th November to 2nd January 2017.

“Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang houses many of the choice brands from around the world and shopping can be a quest all on its own. Hence, the itinerary that we have designed allows children to have their own enjoyment to look forward to,” said TJ Cheah, Deputy Managing Director of MFMA Development Sdn Bhd, “Tourists who are waiting for their flights can also capitalize on these activities to have a bit of fun and kill time.”

MITSUI OUTLET PARK KLIA

Hello there? How’s your holiday goodies shopping going on? Grabbed all you wanted? Anything left yet? Have you got the Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette? If you haven’t then let me tell you, this is a must-have. In my judgment, this is the best eyeshadow palette of this year’s holiday collection. Why? First of all, I bet you don’t have an 11″ long palette in your collection. Yes, Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette is this big..haha the size of it gave me hard time capturing pics!

Kat Von D Metal Matte EyeShadow Palette

The Packaging of this palette is nothing extraordinary, a cardboard slim palette. Has KatVonD’s fascinating artwork in it and at the back you’ll find names of the shades and amount of product you’ll get in each pan. The palette is mega-sized which is interesting however, I’m not sure if I like this fact. Due to its size, it’s difficult to store, handle and undoubtedly travel-unfriendly. But whatever it is, I love it because of the actual product it offers.

Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette consist of 9 Metal Crush eyeshadow and 13 Matte eyeshadow. I always wanted to try Kat Von D’s Metal Crush Shadow formula. Love that 9 amazing shade comes with this palette. Her matte formula is also my favorite since I won the Interstellar palette. The palette also offers versatile undertone and finish, there are cool and warm, solid matte to satin and kinda glittery to fine glitter finish.

 

Metal shades here are simply Ah-mazing, each and everyone is super pigmented and consistent. All of them apply smoothly without any fallout and stays in place. They are vibrant and opaque in one swipe, blends with ease. The shade Nebula and Flash are my most favorite.

Mattes in this palette is not as consistent as metals are. Ribbon, Fringe, and bone are not as smooth and opaque as others are. And the white shade I find useless on my tan skin, I never actually used a white shade in my eyelid. Where the metals are good enough without a primer but matte shade in the palette needs a primer underneath to hold the opacity for a long time. I love the shade Velour and Moss the most among the mattes.

The look I created below using Kat Von D Metal Matte palette. I’ve used the shade Ignite in the inner corner, Ribbon in the lid, Velvet in the outer corner, Oak and Suede for my crease and Glitz mixed with Bone on my brow one area. I loved the outcome of this look.
