ELF Eyelid Primer, it’s from ELF Cosmetics’s $1 range. An ultimate drugstore eye primer to have as well as a great dupe of UD primer potion. Yes, I have used both and couldn’t find much difference without the price tag.

It comes in a basic plastic packaging with sponge tip applicator. Consistency is creamy yet sets dry on lid. Has a bit of tint in it which helps to even out the color of eyelid. Sets pretty quickly so you have to work fast while blending. Create wonderful base for eye shadow, does helps to prevent shadows from creasing for long time. Only down side of this primer is it doesn’t help to intensify light matte shadows.

I may be the last one who is reviewing this fantastic budget product but it has been love for last couple of years by my self. This tube doesn’t have much product in it, wont last long if you use regularly but for the price you cant really complain. It is the best option if you want a substitute of your pricey UD primer.

Today I’m here to blabbering about Real Techniques Miracle complexion sponge. Except the name ‘miracle’ its just a makeup blending sponge or a tool for your makeup application.

I have used and tried quite a lot of non brand,drugstore or cheap blending sponges which were mainly the dupe of original beauty blender but I was satisfied with none. Main problem with those were their stiffness. They were too stiff and hard to work with, also because of the stiffness they were hard to clean properly no matter what I use. I have been always in the search of a good and reasonably priced blending sponge.

I was confused before buying Real Techniques Miracle Sponge, didn’t wanted to waste money anymore but badly needed a sponge. I prefer to use sponge or wadges in my under eye area to set concealer. Miracle sponge is already a raved product in market though i was hesitating to buy one. However, couple of weeks ago finally got my hand into this product.

The product costs $5-$6. Packaging is quite simple, I believe somehow there is a difference in printing in area based launch. My first impression was ok, the sponge looks cute in orange color, has a flat side unlike the other sponge. I was dyeing to use it to see the performance in work.

I dampen the sponge with water and it turned twice bigger in size like all other sponge but the different thing happened is it became so soft and smooth after soaking with water. This is the thing I was looking for in all other sponge. If you sponge is not soft enough then it doesn’t really help even application of foundation or to set it perfectly. I applied my foundation with the flat edge and it worked amazingly. With this sponge and its unique shape it is so easy to get into those narrow corners of face. I got totally impressed from the first use. Also works great as a powder application tool to set foundation.

About cleaning the sponge, trust me it was way easy to clean this one because of its softness. I’m able to squeeze out and clean every bit of makeup residue from this sponge.

Overall, very happy with the outcome of Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. A big thumbs up to Real Technique for such quality product in budget price. I’ll be stock up more soon.
I’ll say to everyone who is looking for a budget sponge, do not waste your money on other cheap blending sponge but get Real Techniques one.

soft and fresh Mint eye makeup for Spring/Summer

Hello there people!! How you doing??
I name the look ‘Mint Splash’. This soft and fresh mint eye makeup as well as the overall look I have created specially keeping the spring and summer days in mind. It is quite soft yet full of fresh color. It can be worn anytime during the day or any occasion of your choice.

Lets get into the tutorial….

***First start of by priming eye lids. Then apply a soft matte yellow color in the crease.

***Apply a ashy color in both eye corner as shown in the picture.

***Using a minty color fill the center of lid.

***Define crease with a matte chocolate color also highlight the brow bone with a warm golden shadow.
Blend all colors nicely.

***Apply black khol/kajal in the water line. Using the same chocolate shadow you used before line you 2/3 of your lower lash line and blend kajal with that. Apply a soft pink shimmery pink shadow in the inner corner as shown in the picture.

***Tend your brows, line your upper lash line. I did quite thick and winged liner here. You can do it according to your choice.

***Apply generous amount of mascara, re-apply and darken the kajal if you want.
And then, your eve makeup is done.

A Mehendi Day Featuring Mehendi Shoily | Henna Design

I’m not a regular henna/mehendi user but who doesn’t love Mehendi??? Few days before the sweet lady owner Natasha of Mehendi Shoily sent me two cones of mehendi to try out. Natasha Makes these henna/mehendi cones by herself, she also provides henna application service through her page.

There was a time when I use to be a mehendi fanatic. But these days market is full of artificial and chemical mehendi which occurs horrible skin peeling in my case so I have been avoiding mehendi can’t remember for how long. When Natasha sent me her product I was a bit confused whether I should use it or not, she convinced me by saying her product is made with 100% natural ingredient. She also said as her product is not artificial so it will not stain within an hour, the stain will take 24 hours to come in full form.

So, yes…. I get on to try them….

Washed off dry mehendi after 4 hours… and the stain was like this…..

24 Hour later…..

When I started using the mehendi I was amused by its smell, not alike the regular mehendi it has a strong smell of Labanga/Laung. It was also packed finely maintaining a sharp tip. Now it been three days I have mehendi on my hand. The stain of it developed deeper by now and still quite intact except some discoloration in my palm due to water uses. Haven’t noticed any skin peeling at all so far.

Overall, I’m totally satisfied with the mehendi stain as well as its quality.

Healthy Shop Complex Intense Eye Contour Gel

Healthy Shop Complex Intense anti-wrinkle Eye Contour Gel with white tea & grape seed extract.Available any good cosmetics shop in Bangladesh. Worth BDT 750/- for 25g.

Ingredient: White Tea Extract, VitisVinfera(grape) Seed Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Centella Extract, Vitamin B, Propylene Glycol,Cetyl Alcohol and Ceteareth20, Stearyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance.

Claims: Help to prevent dark circle, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles also nourish. smooth and moisturize the skin around the eyes.

My Experience: Product comes in a glass like plastic jar packaging. It has very soft and refreshing scent in it. Almost watery jelly in consistency, in fact, it feels totally like water while applying. Absorb quickly into skin without leaving any trace of the product. If feels moisturizing for an hour or two after application, thereafter its hard to feel that a product was applied there just couple of hour before.

I personally do not like oil based formula for my under eye area. I started using this gel with big hope because at the beginning I liked its watery consistency and the way it soaked into skin. After using the gel for few days I noticed the product pretty much doing nothing in my under eye area. It wasn’t helping to moisture or nourish more than 2/3 hour, totally didn’t work on dark circle, fine lines or anything. So, it turned into a big disappointment for me. However, finished the jar yet got no visual benefit out of it.

Would I purchase it again? Certainly not!! Won’t even recommend to anyone.

Meena Herbal conditioning shampoo a very new product in market. If you’re following me on my Facebook Page then you already know the company sent me this previously as their pre-launched sample. Today I’ll be sharing my experience on this product.

Price: BDT 220/- for 200ml

Product claims be be enriched with aloevera and honey which promises to restore lost moisture and makes your hair smooth silky and shiny. My hair is thin course, colored with semi-oily scalp. I have no dandruff issue or else. Because of the oily scalp i wash hair every day, as well as, oil my hair three times a week. I also have to think about the product I’m using if its taking care of my hair color and restoring moisture or not creating any extra harshness in my hair.Product comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a flip cap. Packaging is slandered to look at. The shampoo has soft lime green color and random artificial scents in it. Texture is creamy and has decent consistency in it. Lather up pretty well while using.

Honestly, I started using this shampoo with less expectation. Thought It will fail to nourish and clean my hair properly, but this product surprised me. It does clean all dirt from root to tip without making hair dry or frizzy. Yes, of course I use extra conditioner afterward to keep my hair extra smooth and tangle free though I can tell that this shampoo does have conditioning power. Some other conditioning shampoo I used previously, they used to make my hair flat but this one doesn’t do that. It keeps that natural volume intact. When I use it after oiling my hair it takes 2/3 wash to clean the oil completely from the root. My hair fall ratio has been normal like always while I was using this shampoo which means this product didn’t occur any hair-fall either. However, cant tell anything if it was damaging my hair color because its been more than 3 month that I colored my hair and I used the shampoo exact 20 days and failed to notice color difference.

Overall, I couldn’t be a fan of its smell but it is a decent product. No complain at all. I think If you want to try a new shampoo then this one can be a option.

Nano White quite a popular Asian skin care brand. However, they are not widely available in Bangladesh.
You might find a few product in the cosmetic shop called Priyo. Price is around BDT 650/- to 700/-

Nano White Day Renew Cream:

The product comes in a sleek and sturdy 40ml plastic jar. It claims to be a miracle day cream that your skin can’t live without. It will moisturize, renew, protect and whiten at the same time as well as doesn’t provide any greasiness.

My experience:
The cream has SPF 25PA+ in it which is a plus point for this cream. This day cream has very soothing yet not so strong scent in it. The texture is thick and creamy. I have combination skin and I found this day cream a bit thick to absorb in skin. It takes a bit of effort to blend it completely into the skin and not really gives that oil free face in our humid weather.

The cream has SPF 25PA+ in it which is a plus point for this cream. This day cream has very soothing yet not so strong scent in it. The texture is thick and creamy. It takes a bit of effort to blend it completely into the skin and not really gives that oil free face in our humid weather.

Therefore, does moisturize, gives that healthy feeling to skin and didn’t cause any breakout either. I have used up my first jar yet haven’t noticed any brightening effect.

Would I repurchase??
I think I won’t because of the oiliness I feel after application. However, I assume this product might be good for dry to normal skin type.

Nano White Night Repair Cream:

This night cream also came in a same 40ml plastic jar with different printing design in it. Because of the plastic jar, it’s quite light weight to carry, which I like. Product claims to be comprehensive, high-performance whitening night repairing which is inspired by groundbreaking DNA research. It promises to whiten and reduce the visible sign of aging, bring up the dramatic overnight result.

My experience:
The cream has thin and smooth, kind of watery texture, which absorb into the skin right away without leaving any greasiness. Smell very nice and comforting. Does moisturize overnight and provide healthy skin next morning. I haven’t noticed any whitening effect or reducing aging fact, eventually, I don’t really care for that matter. Overall, loved how this cream makes skin supple and smooth. If you have dry skin this cream is might not for you but for normal to oily skin it’s a good choice.

Would I repurchase?
Yes, if I don’t end up trying another new product. It’s a decent night cream for daily use regardless of seasonal weather changes.

BH Cosmetics Haul & Experience !!

So, this happened!! A BH Cosmetics haul !! Got everything I have been eyeing on for a long time. Before purchasing I was in conflict with Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics as because they have identically similar product. I have already few products by both brand and had no complaint about any of them. This time I thought quite hard that which one I should go for also there was a bit different fact this time because I wanted to get international shipping. At last bhCosmetics won the battle because of their early valentine sale and low shipping cost.

If you live in Bangladesh then you already know how troublesome it is to shop from abroad. We here mainly shop through online pages, pay almost double than product price, wait month after month to get a product in hand, sometimes those sellers cancel the order after months of waiting and so on. Overall it is a full hassle. Last two month I was going through such shopping hassle, one of my order got canceled after 2 months waiting, another two order came broken like dust. Needless to say, I was hell upset. After all this, I decided to shop at bhcosmetics directly as they offer international shipping. They provided USPS tracking number, I was able to track each and every movement of my package during the shipping. I thought they will at least take a month to deliver product here. So, I gave my aunt’s address as I was planning to visit her place in my assumed time frame. Guess what, BhCosmetics delivered the product in exact 18 days, I was beyond happy when aunt call me yet had to wait, because of my stupidity, till I visit her and get the product in hand.

Product came in a hard cardboard packaging. It was well protected in inside as well, especially the palettes were carefully wrapped in lots of fluffy brown paper. I loved the packaging and how intact everything was, bhcosmetics literally made me happy with their service.
Let’s have a look what I got for me…

BH Cosmetics Eyelash Curler, Nail Filer, and Kabuki Brush

Following eyelash curler and the pink animal printed nail filer, I got only because I was impressed by their cute look. Couldn’t just pass them. That tiny purple kabuki came in a deal, didn’t need that yet it’s so soft and cute. I was looking for a perfect tweezer ever since, and this bhcosmetics tweezer has led light attached to it. Though it would be great to have light in a tweezer, looking forward to seeing how it works! It comes with 2 pairs of spare battery as well.

BH Cosmetics 12pc pink brush set

They are synthetic and soft enough but eye brushes are a bit stiff. I’ll say its a set for beginners. However, I needed a brush bag for traveling purpose and also a thin liner brush which is the reason I got this set.

BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Trio

BH Cosmetics 6 Color Concealer & Corrector Palette

A new product that I wanted to try. Got this in shade medium.

BH Cosmetics Professional Blush – 10 Color Blush Palette

This blush palette was on my wishlist for almost a year. When I saw this first time I got surprised, this palette is so big and colors are so beautiful in person, totally didn’t expect it to be this good. Hoping their pigmentation will impress me as well.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Cream Contour Palette

Another unexpected big palette. Initially liked the packaging and color range, hoping to get good quality as well.

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette – 2nd Edition:

I wanted to have one of this bright palette for long but wasn’t sure if the color comes all similar, as it looks similar in the web. However, took the chance and when I saw this in person I got beyond happy. Each and every color is different with a variety of finish. Especially I’m overly impressed with blues and greens.. they are phenomenal.
