MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick | Original & 2nd Edition

28

Almost a year ago MAC Cosmetics launched their first Viva Glam Miley Cyrus collaboration. A super sexy hot pink lipstick in MAC amplified formula along with limited edition packaging that has Miley’s signature in it. Recently they added a second lipstick, A bright orange, in Miley Cyrus Viva Glam range.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

I do love Miley Curys and her songs, specially The Climb is my all time favourite. Regardless of being a Miley fan, these two lipsticks were pretty much must have for me because of their shade.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

They have limited edition signature packaging yet it’s just the same MAC bullet with the same amount of product and that same delicious vanilla smell. The best part of these two shade is I think they are universal and very much flattering for any skin tone. However, I actually love the second edition most because I’m a fan of the matte texture.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

The first edition is a vivid true fuchsia, kind of satin finish with amplified formula. This pink is vivid but somehow muted that can go with any skin tone without being flashy. I’m not a big fan of MAC amplified formula, but I adjust with this one only because of the shade itself. The lipstick is very opaque upon application, glides smoothly, hydrating and long wearing, leaves a strong pink stain on the lip. This is definitely a fun color for your special occasion as well as can be your everyday shade if you are a fan of bright lips.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

The second edition is a vivid orange, has strong red undertone with matte formula. Though it’s matte but it has more of creamier texture, glide on very smoothly and with full opacity. It’s not transfer-proof yet last 6/7 hours on my lips, feel a bit dry at the end hours, leaves red-ish stain. At the beginning I thought it would be a random orange but when I swatch it in the store I found it’s a very versatile orange and it looks my tawny (ref: NC42) skin very nice. The shade isn’t anything pastel so I believe it will also suit on any skin tone. I actually fall in love with the shade.

MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick Swatch

Overall, I think MAC did a very good job with these two lipsticks because I found them very much wearable. Moreover, I can’t deny the fact of a Viva Glam range that 100% of its selling price is going to be in MAC Aids Fund. Even if you don’t find these two much attractive I highly recommend you to check out other Viva Glam product, after all there is a great cause behind it.

By the way, I’m interested to know what is your current favourite MAC lipstick?

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation | Review, Swatch and Comparison

14

I have been looking for a full coverage foundation and wasn’t intended a bit to check on the Too Faced foundation. I was literally looking forward to trying the new MAC and MUFE foundation. But that day I visited Sephora to pick up some random stuff and randomly swatched this new Born This Way Foundation. The shade ‘Honey’ matched my skin beautifully yet I was careless, the SA handed me over a sample pot to try out at home. Next day, I had an event to attend and I thought to try that sample for the day!

The first stroke I applied I was impressed by then with the coverage and amazing blend-ability! Throughout the event, I was complimented on my makeup a couple of times and one of my friends literally asked me about my foundation! I got pretty surprised and couldn’t wait to look at my face, but the event was going on so haven’t had a chance to look at my face :p

I got back home after 6/7 hours and girl! …my makeup looked amazing after all those hours and at the end of the day, I knew that I have to get this foundation. Hence, the next day I ran into Sephora and got myself a bottle of Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. However, I picked the shade Sand for me finally… will explain to you why in a bit… keep reading!

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

Too Faced say’s about Born This Way Foundation:

[color-box]

Born This Way is an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can’t see the makeup and you can’t see imperfections—all that’s left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were Born This Way. This foundation is infused with a potent combination of Coconut Water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature’s resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and Hyaluronic Acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance.

KEY FACT:

    • Medium-to-full undetectable coverage
    • Oil-free
    • Coconut Water helps delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels without overhydrating—for the look of radiant skin
    • Infused with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
    • Hyaluronic Acid helps balance skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance

[/color-box]

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

My experience with Born This Way Foundation:

I absolutely love the frosted glass bottle with a gold accent design of Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. The luxurious bottle also comes with pump dispenser to make your life easier. The bottle offers the standard amount of product which is 30ml. The product has mild fragrance in it, I’m not really sure how it is like, might be the smell of coconut water.

Too Faced currently offers total 12 shade variety of this foundation and there are more shades coming in this fall. In currently available shade range, there aren’t many options for darker skin tone or with the cooler undertone but it’s good to know that they’ll add more of these soon.

As I mentioned, I color matched with the shade Honey initially but when I tried it at home I noticed that this foundation gets noticeably deeper once it dries or sets into the skin. It’s nothing like oxidizing, but I guess it’s the character of this foundation. Therefore, I picked up the shade Sand for me. When applied ‘Sand’ appears brighter on my skin but after a while, it turns into the perfect match for my skin.

Yes, Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Oxidizes!

Because this foundation tends to get darker after a while so this does create a bit confused while choosing the shade. Have a closer look at the swatches below. I included wet and dry both state of them to give you a better understanding.

Too Faced Born This Way FoundationToo Faced Born This Way FoundationToo Faced Born This Way Foundation Swatch

Apart from the color inconsistency, I found the oil-free, lightweight, buttery smooth texture of this foundation very pleasant. The foundation glides on skin effortlessly, sits and blends with a seamless finish. The coverage it gives is mind-blowing. It gives medium coverage at the first layer and with a second layer, I get the fullest coverage.

It’s not fluid but quite thick to touch thus works best with the finger or a beauty blender, a regular foundation brush tends to leave a streaky mark. However, my Sigma 3DHD Kabuki brush (review HERE) seems to work perfectly with this foundation. The finish it gives is very natural looking and dewy, holds up without fading till the end and gives extremely lightweight feeling even when I wore a couple of layers to achieve full coverage.

If you care about Born This Way foundation ingredients,

Honestly, I don’t care much. Actually, I don’t feel anything different because it has coconut water, hyaluronic acid. The foundation keeps my skin hydrated while wearing. Moreover, it didn’t give me any breakout so far.

Overall, I’m completely sold and really appreciate the way Too Faced Born This Way foundation works on my skin. Needless to say, this is definitely my new HG foundation. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for full coverage but the most natural looking foundation that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Also has added benefit and appears beautifully in real life as well as in photos.

If you’re a fan of natural coverage then you must check my review on Dior Nude Air Foundation. Also if you’re looking for a full coverage drugstore foundation read my thoughts on Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation.
By the way, I’m keen to know what is your HG foundation?

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur | Face & Eye Cream

34

Anti-Aging and Magic Blur, both of them are definitely two attractive terms for a skin care item. Revitalift Magic Blur Anti-Aging skin care range is almost a new launch by Loreal Paris here in Malaysia. As far as I can remember this range is available here since July’15.

This range of product is focused on giving you an instant effect by blurring your facial lines or pores, also claims to provide anti-aging benefit in long term use. I was tempted, skeptical and excited to reveal the goodness of these products when I got them in hand few weeks back.

Let me tell you in details how was my experience with them.

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur Anti-Aging Moisturizer:
Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

The hot-red glass jar and metallic shiny lid makes it a luxurious packaging that you would love keep in the top of your dresser. The Jar comes with 50ml of product, I would really appreciate if there was a spatula to maintain hygiene.

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

Loreal Revitalift anti-aging moisturizer claims to reduce the look of lines, wrinkles and pores instantly and also reduce their appearance over time. The Opti-Blur technology of this cream diffuses light on skin to immediately blur lines and pores. Key ingredient Pro-Retinol A fights the sign of aging for a younger-looking skin over time.

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

Let me describe you the facts in a simpler way.

First of all, this moisturizer has a smooth, slightly sand like, thick texture. Applies and blends into skin beautifully and gives a perfect matte finish. It does give blurring effect on skin instantly also makes the skin surface extra smooth. It mattifies skin completely and that last for long yet surprisingly doesn’t dry out skin.
I felt this moisturizer creates a veil/layer on top of skin, quite similar like a foundation primer, once applied your skin will be matte and oil free for long time, facial lines will be less visible. However, the cream actually doesn’t get absorbed into the skin like all other moisturizers will do. I had a look on the ingredient list, found that it has silicone in it which clearly describe why it acts like a veil.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

I’m a fan of regular moisturizer and love that pumped and hydrated feel on the skin, I don’t really mind a bit of shine on skin when I’m home. At the beginning when I was trying Loreal Rivitalift Magic Blur Anti-aging moisturizer I actually liked the mattifying effect on my skin. But within few days I realized it is not really keeping my skin hydrated so I was re-applying within 2 to 3 hour which is unusual for me.

[wp_ad_camp_1][/wp_ad_camp_1]

I also tried to use it underneath my makeup. If I was directly applying foundation over the cream then it was working great but when I tried to apply foundation primer over the cream, face and eye primer both, the moisturizer ( or I should say the veil) comes off/ crumbles like crazy. I prefer my makeup not to look matte but dewy so I had to use some illuminating primer and there the cream was a turnoff.

To be honest, I don’t hate the cream but I couldn’t love the cream either. It definitely failed to replace my regular moisturizer, but I do use it over my regular moisturizer when I’m home because I’m loving that blurring effect if gives. A good part to mention, it didn’t give me any break out so far.

Point to be noted, I have a combination skin and I don’t mind shine on my face, but I know many of you out there who dies for matte and shine free skin. In a nutshell, this is the moisturizer for you if you love matte skin all the way, also for those who has super oily skin.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur Anti-Aging Eye Cream:
Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

I have been in search for a good eye cream for long and currently I’m actually liking this Revitalift Magic Blur eye cream by Loreal Paris.

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

Loreal Magic Blur Anti-Aging eye cream also offers the same technology, Opti-Blur, like the Revitalift Magic Blur moisturizer, but the key ingredient here is Caffeine. Along with blurring out the lines this also claims to diminish the dark circle.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

This eye cream comes in a sleek tube packaging that has pointed tip which makes the application mess free. The tube looks almost like a fat pen and offers 15ml of product in it.

The product has the similar silky smooth texture like the face moisturizer, but it’s quite thin than the other one. It applies beautifully and visibly blurs out fine lines under the eyes.

Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur

Although the eye cream has the similar texture like the moisturizer, but this one does get absorbed into the skin. This one also mattifies the skin without giving any dry feeling. This also performs well under makeup. I don’t have any dark circle or much puffiness around my eyes so I couldn’t determine anything on that fact, yet it surely gives an instant effect of reduced fine lines.

I have pretty dehydrated under eye area. Although this eye cream is a mattifying one, but somehow my under eye area doesn’t feel dehydrated while using it. haven’t found any turnoff for this cream, I’m loving it at the moment and also hoping that it will work on reducing my fine lines in long term use.

Do I recommend Loreal Rivitalift Anti-Aging Magic Blur eye cream? Yes, I do… if you are looking for an eye cream that is matte and you’re up to hiding your fine lines then you might want to give this a try.

Empties August’15 | Hair, Skin, Makeup | Short Review

34

To start the month of September, I’m looking back on to my empties stash from past moths so I can realize how many I have used up and what I have to use up next. Also sharing with you guys some quick thoughts so you can find some help for your purchasing decision.

As usual, in this post I’m about to share those products that I’ve already used up, that I used on daily basis, some I love, maybe some of them are not much good that I’ll purchase again or I just didn’t get space to write about them individually.

Let’s begin…

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Hair Empties:

EmptiesI have six hair empties this month, mostly conditioner, one shampoo and one leave-in spray thing.

Watsons Anti-Frizz Treatment Wax | RM20 for 500ml
Wax? …not at all. This has a thicker creamy consistency but nothing like wax. Watsons Anti-Frizz Treatment Wax is their home brand product so it comes with a cheap price tag. Compared to the price it works well but not as a hair treatment but as a daily conditioner. I like to use it when I want to have a change in my regular conditioner. This particular one claims to be infused with argan oil, I liked it so far and already got another flavor to use next.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Antistress Conditioner | RM45 for 16oz
I had really high hope with this conditioner, but this is definitely a disappointment. As a BBW product, it has a shooting eucalyptus smell in it that does calm mind while using but nothing anti-stress at all. This conditioner doesn’t flatten hair but didn’t nourish my hair as I would prefer. Moreover, I felt it did trigger hair fall somehow. Not going to repurchase for sure.

Marc Anthony Shampoo & Conditioner | RM45 each for 250ml | (Shop Here & Here)
Marc Anthony Oil Of Morocco Shampoo & Conditioner

A sulfate free organic formula which is also infused with argan oil and keratin. Marc Anthony Oil Of Morocco shampoo & conditioner both impressed me initially but after long term use I felt they were nothing special. They do clean and nourish hair properly, but I was missing shine in my hair. I had kind of love-hate relationship with this product, not sure if I’m going to repurchase.

Schwarzkopf Daily Treatment Spray | RM19 for 150ml
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Treatment Spray

This leave-in spray was an ultimate love. I used it always in damp hair and quite surprisingly it did keep my straight hair more straight and tangle free throughout the day. This product also keeps the hair shine intact without giving sticky-ness. Schwarzkopf treatment spray isn’t any thermal spray so it is not appropriate if you’re thinking to use it that way. This is surely a repurchase for me.

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Skin Empties:
Empties

I have four skin product empties here including two facial wash, one face serum, and one body wash. I’m happy to see there isn’t much but still secretly tensed that I need to finish up a lot that are floating on my dresser!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mousse Cleanser | RM30
Neutrogena Hydraboost Mousse Cleanser

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mousse Cleanser comes in a gel form but when you dispense the product out it becomes foam. Pretty gentle as a cleanser but cleanse skin nicely without drying it down. I loved it I those days when my skin was having the sensitivity issue. If you don’t have sensitive skin you might like to use some other cleanser that is a bit more strong.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser | RM19 | (Shop Here)
Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

A cleanser for deep clean as the product claims which I’ll completely deny. This cleanser has a thick liquidy consistency which is very easy to spread on the skin and does give you the feeling to get into every pore, but I’ll say it has just gentle cleansing power. For deep cleansing, I won’t recommend this one. However, this is not bad if you like a mild facial cleanser.

Garnier Sakura White Serum | RM30.50
Garnier Sakura White Serum

Garnier product never fails to disappoint me! I didn’t use ant Garnier product for long because they always gave me break out. When I saw this Garnier Sakura White serum I was tempted to try it and guess what, my face was full of rashes and a couple of pimple within a week! I was surprised, but honestly this serum felt really good on the skin. Hence, I had to stop using it and I ended up using it on my hands.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel | (Shop Here)
Soap and Glory Shower Cream

I’m truly in love with this shower gel ever since. There is nothing much to praise about the brand Soap & Glory I guess, but trust me, guys, this shower cream is amazing. It has almost butter like creamy texture, pleasantly sweet smell and my skin felt so soft after every use! Moreover, you just need a little for every use.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Makeup Empties:
Empties

Not many makeup products this month, actually it is quite hard to finish off one makeup item completely. I also had a couple of ( eg. MAC Fix+) other product that I didn’t include in this post because I already talked about them in my previous empties post.

Maybelline Baby Lips | (Shop Here)
I finished off two Maybelline Babylips in past months. I love these tinted one because they give nice tint on the lip. They are my every day must have but if you ask about how they take care of lips then I’ll say they aren’t really a good choice for that purpose. I use my Burts Bees lip balm to keep my lip moisturized.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara | (Shop Here)
Maybelline Falsies Mascara

The most hyped mascara by Maybelline, isn’t it? How did I like it? Well, first of all, I don’t like waterproof mascara because they are hard to clean! Yet, I quite like the mascara because of its curve and very much functional wand, it also give a natural lash effect and that is buildable to more volume. This mascara has been one of my go to. However, I’ll look for a non-waterproof one for next.

ELF Brow Kit | $3 | (Shop Here
Elf Eye Brow Kit

My Elf Eyebrow Kit (medium shade) isn’t empty, I hit the pan and I’m trashing it this month. It has one pan with wax and one pan with powder. The wax has dark color than the powder and both offers good pigmentation. This brow kit also comes with a brush which I trashed at the beginning because that was too useless to use.  I loved using it, a good brow kit for that budget price. However, I stopped using it a while ago because I realized it is too red for by black-brow and olive skin tone.

[wp_ad_camp_1][/wp_ad_camp_1]

So that’s it for my August’15 empties. Hope you’ll find this post helpful this way or that way. Let me know what you’ve been loving or hating recently so I can also get some idea about new product 🙂
You can have a look at my last empties post here if you are interested!

Instant Long & Volumus Hair | Irresistible Me Hair Extension

44

If you have thin hair or short hair then there is no best option other than trying some hair extension. A set of good hair extension can change your look entirely and can give that desired look that you wanted forever.

A month ago I was sent Irresistible Me hair extension to try out. Earlier that I cut off my hair, I was flaunting short hair ever since, but it is true that I do lust for long hair sometimes. When ‘Irresistible Me’ contact me I was definitely excited and agreed to accept the challenge of trying hair extension, I mean I couldn’t think of trying hair extension by myself! But these are clip-in extension so I was hopeful!

Irresistible Me Hair Extension

Irresistible Me is a USA based company, they ship internationally so wherever you are that’s not a problem. They have many different types of extension with the various color option, so it’s easy to find your choice from their website. A very helpful customer care service is there to help you with your choice, trust me, it’s my personal experience.

They offer high-quality hair extension which claims to be 100% human hair (Remy Hair) and specially treated afterward.

The Company says:
[color-box]

Remy Hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair because it’s the hair collected from the donor’s head and preserved to ensure all the cuticles are healthy, living, and facing in the natural growing direction. This eliminates tangling problems commonly found in non-Remy or low-quality hair. Preserving the hairs’ cuticles intact and aligning them the same way makes the hair extensions look completely natural. Remy hair is only lightly processed. There are two types of Remy hair: single-drawn and double-drawn. Single-drawn Remy hair is gathered from donors in several lengths. Double-drawn Remy hair is collected from the same donor to guarantee the cuticles lengths are equal.

[/color-box]

Irresistible Me Hair Extension

I choose Medium Brown-Golden Blonde, ‘Royal Highlights’ with 18″ length and 200g of volume to match my hair. Unlike other types, the Royal highlights hair extension are made by order/custom made according to one’s color preference. Each strand of the extension has 50-50 distribution of chosen color.

A set of 200g comes with…

  • One piece with 4 clips
  • Two pieces with 3 clips
  • Five pieces with 2 clips
  • Two pieces with 1 clip

I must say I fell in love with this extension in the first look, they are incredibly well made, soft and silky smooth. As they are clip-in extension so they are easy to wear as well. It was my first time trying clip-in extension, but it didn’t give me any hassle. However, blending extension with real hair seamlessly does takes a bit of practice. I already wore them quite a few times and I can say they are going to last really long.

*FYI: Only Royal Highlights are non-exchangeable/returnable because they are custom made. But for other types you’ll get the facility of exchange or return for free.

Irresistible Me Hair Extension

How do I wear them? Watch the tutorial below…

So… what you think? Aren’t they look gorgeous?

Irresistible Me Hair ExtensionIrresistible Me Hair Extension

Irresistible Me hair extensions are also washable and dye-able. Because of their high-durability you can also style them any way you want. Straight hair is my basic style, but I’m looking forward to playing with them more. Yes, of course you’ll see that in my future post if you stay in touch 😜

If you want to try hair extension, without any doubt I would recommend ‘Irresistible Me’. They just worth every penny.

12 MUST HAVE eyeshadow | Makeup Geek

42

I remember that day when I first thought to buy some Makeup Geek eyeshadow. It was uber confusing, there was is so many beautiful shades, but I wanted few and most essential ones. After going through lots of research, I picked 6 shade as my first Makeup Geek purchase. After that, I didn’t stop, I bought more and I want to buy all of them, crazy but Makeup Geek shadows are that good!

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Why am I rambling?
Today’s post is a guideline (based on medium brown skin tone; eg. NC42) specially for those first time Makeup Geek eyeshadow buyer who are tussled in confusion which one to pick. I accumulated 12 Makeup Geek shadow from my collection as ‘Must Have’ which you may grab in your first purchase or may be later. You need these shades in your collection because they are the most functional shades, from everyday look to super smokey glam look, you can cover all with only these 12 shade. Not only about Makeup Geek, even if you don’t have much eyeshadow and you want to have some good and functional shade in your collection then you should have a look at Makeup Geek and of course here in my guideline.

MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

You already had a glimpse (the picture above) of the shade I’m gonna talk about now let me talk about them one by one…

Latte:
A light to medium brown with red undertone and matte in finish. A great shade for making the transition between two colors or you can use it alone as a base. In medium brown skin, it doesn’t show up much but creates beautiful depth. Latte is one of those shade that I use regularly to define my crease.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Creme Brulee:
A matte warm but soft brown. Appears lighter thank Latte in my skin. An absolutely perfect shade for transition and blending out harsh edges of other colors. Also can be applied alone as a base color. Creme Brulee doesn’t help to create depth in crease much, but I swear by this shade for blending crease and lid shadow together.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Cocoa Bear:
A matte, dark brown with strong red undertone. Cocoa Bear is insanely pigmented shade, will appear with full opacity in any skin tone. A great brown shade for creating any smokey eye look. I also recommend this shade if you just want some deep brown hue in your lid or may be in lower lash line.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Bitten:
A dark deep maroon red but an off shade, matte in finish. This is my most favourite shade among all Makeup Geek eyeshadow I own. Bitten is a unique shade of maroon. It looks fabulous when applied in lower lash line to create some shading as well as if you want some red hue in your crease area. It also looks fantastic with some black, like a black smokey eye or bitten as a base lid color and black in the outer part.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Twilight:
A shimmery rosy shade with the purple hue. This can be worn alone for an everyday look or incorporated with another color for some glam look. As because it is shimmery but not chunky, it give a healthy glow to the lid. I love to use Twilight as my go to lid shade paired with Latte in the crease for every day.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Shimma Shimma:
A soft Champagne shade with the metallic finish. The best shade for highlighting the brow bone, tear duct, also you can use it as your face (bonus) highlighter. A highlight shade is a must for a complete eye look and so the shade Shimma Shimma. It is metallic but don’t be afraid it is not tacky, it looks so good when applied.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Swatches of the shade (one swipe with no primer):
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

Pegasus:
Pegasus is from foiled (intense metallic finish) eye shadow range of Makeup Geek. It’s a bright but softer shade of aqua. Everyone needs to have a bright popping color in their shadow collection, isn’t it?  Thus, I added Pegasus in my 12 Must Have. It’s intense metallic finish and insane pigmentation will blow you off as well as create a different dimension in any eye look. A lovely shade for any accent eye look.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

Simply Marlena:
We are talking about 12 Makeup Geek Must Have and I certainly cannot skip this beautiful pink shade called ‘Simply Marlena’ which is named under the name of the beautiful lady, the owner of Makeup Geek, Marlena Stell. I won’t deny because of the name I hold a secret soft corner for this specific shade, apart from that this is a great shade as well.
It’s matte initially, but there is some smooth sheen in it. It looks like a bright pink, but it appears muted when applied. Simply Marlena looks lovely if worn alone, as well as a perfect shade to create some dramatic look.
MAKEUP GEEK eyeshadow

High Tea:
It’s a quite new shade in Makeup Geek shadow range. A unique earthy tone, they say it’s a medium brown with gray undertone, but I’ll say it has strong olive hue with that gray undertone. I love to wear this shade in my crease are mostly but also wear it whenever I feel like to wear some soft earthy look. If you mix it with a bit of Bitten it creates an awesome shade for lower lash line.

Chickadee:
A matte, soft yellow-orange shade, almost leaned to the peach color. You might think how come an orangy color can be functional in daily use. Well, this is that one shade which will create dimension in your look. Suppose, you are creating a blue and black eye look, blend them with Chickadee where blue and black meets and you’ll see the transitional magic. I also love Chickadee for an everyday look, I apply it over Creme Brulee in my lid to brighten up lid area even more.

Too Faced The little Black Book of Bronzers

40

I wasn’t going to write/share about Too Faced The little Black Book of Bronzers because initially I bought this just to add in my collection. This collectible book of Bronzer by Too Faced launched around a year ago (a bigger size one with all full-size product, as far as I know) in the USA, they happened to launch it here in Malaysia just right at the moment. I had to have this in my collection because it comes with all bronzers by Too Faced in a pretty book shape, the price point is also good for all those 8 bronzers. All them bronzer here are definitely not appropriate for my skin tone, but I’m a makeup-holic, additionally I had a 15% off SephoraMY BlackCard perk so you can guess why it was a must have for me!

As I said before I wasn’t going to write about this but actually could resist sharing some views and swatch so my reader (you) us can find it useful if they want to purchase the single product.

There is actually 7 bronzer and Pink Leopard is actually a very soft pink blush or can be used as a highlighter.
If you notice, Milk Chocolate Soleil, Chocolate Soleil and Endless Summer are almost invisible in my tan skin (ref: NC42) tone where The shade Dark Chocolate Soleil is quite vibrant but it has strong orange undertone. I absolute love all those luminous shade here, Sun bunny and Beach bunny is a perfect bronze shade however they look almost identical. My favourite from this palette has to be Snow Bunny, it gives a soft bronzy shade while mixed all shade together. For my skin tone I think Snow bunny can be a nice highlight shade that gives a bronze glow, summer perfect material!

Honestly, I didn’t want to touch and use this palette but after swatching them just I can’t wait to wear them.
