My New Hair Color for Summer & Post Color Care Info

66

Hello there beautiful,
Hope you all doing well. I’m wondering if you’re following me on my social network? If yes then you already know I had a new hair makeover a few days ago 🙂

What do you do when you get bored of your hair? You style it, of course, maybe with a new hair cut or hair color. I already chopped my hair a few months before so couldn’t do anything about that yet badly needed a change. I’ve been doing only base color for a long time now and remember doing two toned hair color almost five years back so thought this is the right time to do so.

When I fixed my mind to get a new hair color I started doing some research on the web, what color might suit my skin tone or what would be the right choice for a short length of hair. My husband, as always, and my friend did help me a lot on suggesting a perfect style 🙂

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Then I went to my nearby saloon, Hair Emporium, my husband is actually a regular customer of them so I do trust their service. I talked with the owner/stylist, Keith Lui, about what I want and also showed a couple of similar pictures that I collected earlier. I think showing few demo picture to the stylist is very important to give them a visual idea of your preference. Then we went through few color chart. Initially I asked my stylist to go for lavender ash as my base color but he said that will not go well with the highlight I want (a muted shade of blonde, almost 3 shade deeper than pure blonde), instead, he suggests me dark blond as a base color. I put my trust on him and agreed with the dark blonde as my base color.

And then the hair makeover process begins… the whole process took me around 3 hours.

The picture below was my past hair condition, badly washed out hair color and pretty dry hair texture, isn’t it?

Hair Color & Post Color Care

Here my highlighted part was done touching up and wrapped up with foil. I was surprised to see my stylist’s effort on that, he parted every single hair that he could literally count my hair. I was sure by then I’m going to have a nicely distributed highlight.
Hair Color & Post Color Care

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

And then the base color was applied and wrapped up with foils and plastic. I was asked to sit like this for 20minute! Waiting for 20 minutes doing nothing is kinda boring but then I got chance to check on Instagram… ha ha ha
Hair Color & Post Color Care

After that 20 minutes of waiting, he washed my hair and the color was done but I went for and additional service, Scalp Treatment. So another 15 minute there and then a little trim and blow dry.

And Viola! ….My brand new colored and healthy hair 🙂 I was so happy seeing the outcome.

The picture below is my hair color in direct sunlight. I freaking love it!

My husband’s comment after seeing my new hair color, “Just the way I imagined it, you look perfect’. Well well, couldn’t be happier with such compliment from husband, moreover, all my friends liked the outcome as well. Big thanks to Keith for such beautiful work.
What you guys think???

Post Color Care:

A new hair color can make you beautiful, but color does harm the health of the hair. If you don’t take care of your colored hair properly then you might face heavy hair fall, breakage, split ends, frizz, dullness and so on. So it is must that you put extra effort on repairing your hair and also protect the fresh color of your hair.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

I’m pointing out below what I follow to repair my hair and protect my hair color:

  • A shampoo and conditioner that is specially made for color treated hair. I’m recently using Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Spearmint shampoo & conditioner, which is volumizing and suitable for color treated hair.
  • Oil massage. To me, oil massage is must at least three times a week. I’m recently loving extra virgin coconut oil (I would use my homemade mix oil, recipe here, but all ingredients aren’t available here in Malaysia). You can also use other oils like oil, almond oil, castor oil, anything you prefer.
  • Deep conditioning once a week to keep up the strength. I’m here talking about deep conditioning that you can do at home. Get some repairing mask of your preferences from the market use that alone once a week or you can mix that with egg or mayonnaise for more protein boost and use that before the shower.
  • Get a hair repairing treatment done once a month from your trusted salon. Now, this is the part where many of us (even I myself!) hesitate a lot. Hair repairing treatments aren’t cheap and we all in some point think that my hair is doing great I don’t need to go to the salon. Yet the crucial truth is what is your hair condition and what should be done with it to prevent further damage only a hair expert can say that. So, if it’s possible to do give your colored hair a saloon treat every month, do it.

Don’ts:

  • Don’t use henna or such thing on colored hair.
  • Avoid hot water shower as much as possible.
  • Avoid hot tools as much as possible.
  • Don’t use acidic natural ingredients like sour curd, lemon, etc. Those fade the color faster than normal.

So, Althea is basically a shopping site operated directly from Korea and filled with Korean skin care and makeup. Their website is new; however, I couldn’t find a single glitch. Obviously, I did my research prior shopping.

First of all, I admit that their price is unbeatable. Althea price is way cheaper than K-beauty product priced in the store. Moreover, for their new launch, they are having a lot of promotions at the moment. And you defiantly can’t deny when you can get free shipping for your international orders right?

Althea site navigation is pretty simple and user-friendly as well. They also have Paypal and other payment options.

Apparently, I placed my first order and patiently started waiting (we all know international shipping takes minimum of two weeks).

Althea Korea Haul

But I got surprised and overwhelmed when I received my order just within three days! Can you believe? How can you not be impressed already where their website state that the shipping will take 10-15 days! Firs thought came up in my mind, “is Korea really close to Malaysia?”. Well, my geographical knowledge is very poor, to be honest.

However, the pink box made me happier. Once I held it I knew all my product inside is nice and safe.

Inside the pink plastic package, there was this light lavender cardboard box wrapped with bubble wrap. They were also double-protected inside the cardboard box with wrappers and all. How nice, ‘Safe Delivery’ at its peak!

I ordered…

  • Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack | RM95
  • Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask | RM40
  • Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack | RM5 each

Needless to say, all of them were nice and intact and if you know their retail price in Malaysia then you can already notice the price difference.

I’m super excited to add these k-beauty products in my skin care routine 🙂 Will definitely review them after using them at least a couple of weeks. You gotta stay connected for that.

Overall, shopping with Korean beauty site ‘Althea’ went pretty pleasant for me. For any other Korean product, I’ll definitely reach them first because they offer lots of popular brand and product, competitive price, ships with care and shipping time is fast. I really hope Althea will keep up their service quality in future as well.

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer | Review, Swatch & Comparison

48

Been trying to write this post since last two day now, just couldn’t find out where to start! …Am I having blogging blockage! Whatsoever, let’s start…

So, LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer, probably the most raved budget concealer so far! They have 24 shades in their range including three (Orange, Green, and Yellow) corrector. You are probably aware of current cream contouring trend (or madness!?), especially for that LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealers are more popular also because of their pocket-friendly price and huge shade range.

If you haven’t experienced them yet then you must be wondering how they perform? Well, I’m coming to that point soon.

I picked up six shade of LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer including one corrector (orange) for myself. Why I got six? Well, as because I bought online so it wasn’t really easy to pick a perfect shade and I wanted to try darker shades for cream contouring (so obvious!) as well.

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer

L.A. Girl Says:

[color-box]

Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes.

[/color-box]

If you wondering about ingredient then have a look at the picture below…
LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer comes in a basic plastic squeeze tube with 8g of product and the tube has brush applicator as product dispenser. I actually like how nicely it dispenses the right amount of product, it is actually very much controllable. However, I don’t really like to use the brush directly, it doesn’t feel hygienic. The product itself is fragrance-free, thick and creamy in consistency, easily bendable and little goes a long way.

I’m absolutely amused by the pigmentation and smoothness of Beautiful Bronze, Toast, and Fawn; I feel Medium Beige and Pure Beige aren’t consistent enough as like others. They all are lightweight and long wearing but neither gives full coverage nor crease resistant ( when you have fine lines under your eye). I know many people compare these concealers with MAC Prolong Wear concealer but I totally disagree with that. Yes LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer does give heavy coverage but that is not that level of full coverage. Moreover, the staying power MAC Prolong Wear concealer has it’s nothing compared to that.

Nonetheless, they aren’t bad at all, actually way better than any other drugstore concealer I’ve used so far.

Shades I picked ( left to right):

  • Beautiful Bronze (GC987)
  • Toast (GC981)
  • Fawn(GC983)
  • Medium Beige (GC978)
  • Pure Beige (GC976)
  • Orange Corrector (GC990)

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer

Beautiful Bronze and Toast almost looks similar in the picture, they are close shade in real as well but Toast has a more warm tone in it and Beautiful Bronze has a more red hue. Fawn is a pretty warm shade with an orange hue and quite darker than my skin tone. Medium Beige has rose-tone in it and Pure Beige is on the warm side. Because of rosy undertone, Medium Beige doesn’t really go with my warm skin tone. I found Pure Beige as my perfect under-eye highlighter for its warm tone.

Orange Corrector has pretty strong red hue in it and it gets darker once applied. Pigmentation of this corrector is insane and you just need a little amount.

LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer

I tried to show some shade comparison in the picture above. There is MAC Prolong Wear foundation in NC40, MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC42, MAC Prolong Wear concealer in NC35, Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in Med-Dark and Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer in Dark Radiance (53). I know many of you order LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer online and get confused to find your perfect shade. Hope that helps you.

In a nutshell, LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealers are defiantly a good choice for its decent quality and a pocket-friendly price. Its larger variety of shade range is obviously a plus point and they do worth a try.

Availability:
Price of LA Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer actually varies to $2.99-$5.00
They are available in L.A. Girl website, MorpheBrushes website, Walgreens, eBay etc.

Dior Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation | Swatch & My Thoughts

40

Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation, a fairly new foundation by Dior. Mouthful name but what is so special about it!? Dior Nude Air Foundation introduced a unique serum-based formula that is ultra-lightweight and focus on emphasizing the beauty of natural skin.

Sounds interesting, isn’t it?

A couple of months ago my lust for ‘skin but the better’ type of makeup made me indulge in this foundation.

Dior Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation

Dior says about the Nude Air Foundation,

  • An incredibly fine, exceptional texture.
Made with oils that evaporate instantly, the talc-free Diorskin Nude Air formula deposits an undetectable film of makeup on the skin. Its high-precision dropper easily delivers exactly the right amount.
  • Perfectly natural-looking makeup in an instant.
The formula enriched with soft-focus agents and glazed pigments produces an even, radiant complexion in an instant for perfect correction with a sheer finish. The complexion glows with natural beauty.
  • Day after day, all the benefits of a breath of pure fresh air for your skin.
Dior introduces Oxygen Activ™ technology, an innovative combination of a hyper-oxygenated oil, Cranberry oil, vitamins, and minerals. Revitalized, the skin breathes and becomes more beautiful each day.
Dior Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation

If I start, I can’t say enough about packaging. The packaging is just so beautiful, a luxe-looking matte glass bottle with a dropper. I do love everything about the packaging but again I do not feel the dropper is really user-friendly! The dropper head looks like metal but it is actually rubber made.

DiorSkin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation ( 30ml) offers 9 shade total (here in Malaysia I saw only 6 shade is available). Finding a perfect shade within these six (only!) wasn’t easy. Luckily there was two in my undertone and almost close. Although I got confused at the beginning, the shade (040) felt a tad bit lighter than my skin tone so I picked next shade (050) at first. When I got home then I realized 050 is way too dark for me. So I had to take 050 back and change with 040. After trying the shade 040 at home (there is those store lighting always to trick you and Sephora Malaysia doesn’t provide sample… phew!) I was finally satisfied that this is the match for me!
Nonetheless, I can not appreciate the minimum range of shade variations.

DiorSkin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation

DiorSkin Nude Air foundation has certainly serum-y texture that you can literally feel upon application, it’s that oil like sensation but evaporates within a second and the product turns into a velvety matte finish.

Before using the foundation I assumed it’s going to give demi-matte finish, it turned out to be matte yet not drying or cakey. About the fluid fact, yes it is fluid-y/watery (prior to the application you must shake the bottle to mix ingredients properly) which feels extremely lightweight on the skin. The foundation has quite a strong fragrance in it, I love that but some might not like that fact. It blends into the skin without leaving any trace, gives sheer finish (not sheer coverage)/soft focus, light to medium coverage and lasts throughout the day.

DiorSkin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation

Some say it gives super light coverage, I totally disagree with that. With one layer the foundation almost covers up uneven skin tone and minor imperfection and it is buildable to medium coverage. The best part about this foundation is no matter how much you layer it up it never cakes up.

The foundation doesn’t give any illuminating effect but it gives some kind of soft-focus that is literally noticeable (impressive, huh!?). As because it appears matte and velvety almost instantly once applied so powder setting process is not really necessary for this foundation.

However, with so many goodnesses there is a drawback as well. I found out DiorSkin Nude Air Foundation does sit on dry patches and kind of accentuate them. If you have any dry patch on your skin then you must prep your skin carefully beforehand.

A before and after picture below. I did prep my skin with moisturizer and foundation primer and applied one layer of DiorSkin Nude Air foundation with Beauty Blender (I prefer applying this foundation with BB).

DiorSkin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation

Usually, I use an illuminating primer usually which isn’t oil controlling or pore erasing ( I don’t have large pore). I do need to set T-zone with powder. FYI, I’m a combination skin type. DiorSkin Nude Air Foundation last on my skin all day without sliding or fading. If it’s a hot day and I’m under the sun only then shine appears on the skin within 4/5 hour.

DiorSkin Nude Air foundation has SPF 25 – PA++ in it, a plus point if you want a foundation for daily use. Additionally, it’s great for the night as well because it doesn’t give any white cast on the picture 🙂 Needless to say, this is my new favorite foundation at the moment.

In a nutshell, DiorSkin Nude Air Serum Foundation is a weightless foundation that gives perfect skin-like undetectable (almost!!!) finish by its amazing blend-ability. It’s matte but it’s velvety, gives coverage but doesn’t cake up, has good lasting power.

I can’t tell how this foundation going to react on dry skin. However, I think it will be suitable for normal to combi to oily skin.

Limited shade range (only six!) of DiorSkin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation might be a problem for many, if you find your match then you’re lucky!

Available at Sephora or Dior Boutique | RM195 | SGD88 | £33 | $53

Hope you’ll find my thoughts on Dior Skin Nude Air Ultra Fluid Serum Foundation helpful. If you’re keen on a full coverage foundation then read my thoughts on Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. That is on a lower budget as well.

By the way,
what is your favorite foundation right now? Let me know, I love to try a new product 🙂

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub | Review

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub

Today I’m going to talk about an amazing product that is Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub, they call it ’60-sec manicure’, quite true in word though. I purchased this hand scrub without any previous plan but being impressed by its amazingness in first use. So what happened that day, like always I was just roaming around in BBW store checking on some hand sanitiser and SA there insist me to try this hand scrub. I was like meh! Lets try…! She applied it in my hand, instantly I fell in love with the smell, startled seeing the amount of dirt came off from my clean (!) hand, and afterward my hand felt so soft and fresh. Just at that point I realised I have to take this amazingness home with me!

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub

Bath and Body Works says:
[color-box]

This sugar-based exfoliating treatment makes quick work of dull, dry skin and ragged cuticles to give even the most mani-deprived hands a taste of soft, smooth, spa manicure perfection–in just one minute

[/color-box]

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub

5oz of Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub comes in a plastic jar with screw lid and a second lift-up lid inside. Nothing fancy on packaging. This scrub is mainly a sugar scrub with citrusy ( but sweet, kinda orange like) smell that is not much strong but last longer even after you wash your hand. I absolutely love how candy like it smells.
The jar is not pink, its transparent, the scrub is actually soft pink in color. There is some kind of soaping agent that lathers up lightly in contact with water.

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub

How to use:
I wet my hands beforehand then directly apply half spatula (shown in picture below) in my both hand. I actually go up to my elbow because a tiny amount of product goes long way. I massage it on my skin, add teensy splash of water meanwhile to spread the scrub evenly, it lathers up by then. Concentrating of dryer area I keep massaging till all them sugars are dissolved, it takes around a minute or so. Then simply I wash that off and Ta-Da! Baby soft, clean and almost brand new hand every time… By the way, though it is a hand scrub I use it for my foot as well.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub

I must mention I do follow up with a hand cream after every use.

Initially you will see gooey texture in Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub but with water contact it goes away. Exfoliating particles in this scrub is all sugar. The scrub literally exfoliate and clean all dead cells from skin without any harshness, helps to soften cuticles, doesn’t make skin dry either. This product truly gives spa feeling afterward.

In terms of price here in Malaysia, it’s not really a reasonable product but the way it works I myself wouldn’t bother to spend for it. I use this scrub 2/3 times a week to keep my hands and foot fresh, can’t even think of not using it.

I highly recommend Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Hand Scrub to everyone. If you haven’t tried it yet then give it a try and I bet you’ll tank me later 🙂

Oh, hey… I would love to know what scrub/product you are using or loving right now for your hands? I always love to try new product so do let me know your recommendation in the comment box below.

Maybelline The NUDES Palette | Review & Swatch

24

Maybelline The NUDES Palette

The NUDES Palette, one of several ‘nude’ inspired eyeshadow palette that Maybelline launched last year but this palette is brand new here in Malaysia. Since last month (May’15) they are available in Malaysian store.

This palette is already hyped as a budget nude palette, also so many people compare this palette with Urban Deay’s Naked 2 palette. I won’t disagree, there are similarities in shade but I can’t really compare as I don’t own UD Naked 2 palette.

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Maybelline The Nudes Palette

Maybelline The NUDES Palette comes with 12 different warm-bronzy nude-ish shade, in total 9.6g of product. The palette packaging is just a basic plastic shadow palette, nothing too fancy, there is also a sponge tip applicator.

The shade variety here in this palette is quite satisfactory, there is cream to black and delicate champagne to deep taupe. I also love the fact that all these shadow comes with variety of texture; there is matte, there is satin and there is couple of metallic shade.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Lets have a close look…
Maybelline The NUDES Palette

Swatch of the top row with out any primer or base (left to right)…

Maybelline The NUDES Palette

Swatch of the bottom row without any primer or base (left to right)…

Maybelline The NUDES Palette

Some eye shadows here in Maybelline The NUDES Palette are really pigmented and opaque without even primer but there are few that are not pigmented enough. While swatching I had to swipe black and the dark brown (last shade of both row) shade quite a few times to get the color. Where I expected the most pigmentation from those two dark colors.

Lighter shadows of this palette doesn’t really shows up against my skin tone, couple of them cause fall out and appears chalky aswell.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Now, the satin and metallic shades here are awesome in quality. They apply smoothly and appear with full opacity and give no fallout either. A big thumbs up for those shiny shade.

However, if you use a primer underneath then it is not difficult to work with Maybelline The NUDES Palette.

The eyelook below I created using only Maybelline The NUDES Palette…
Maybelline The NUDES Palette

Overall, I like the selection of shades and variety of texture in this palette. You can create lot of different ‘nude-ish’ look with those 12 shadows. It could be the perfect nude palette if those shadows were a bit better in quality.

In my opinion, this is a palette for beginners. Perhaps, a good gift for your little sister who just started with makeup!

Do you own it or eyed it? What is your thought? Do share 🙂

Elianto Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick | Review & Swatch

34

Elianto, a Malaysian home brand, recently launched its German-made Long Wearing Eyeshadow Stick. These are actually eyeshadows in a twist-pen form.

Elianto stick eyeshadow applies like velvet wears like a feather.

Am I being too dramatic with my words? That’s how the brand Elianto says about their Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick.

Elianto Long Wear EyeShadow Stick

Texturewise the eyeshadow sticks are cream-to-powder on the stick and applies effortlessly. These are very much blendable and turns into a soft, powdery and waterproof finish when dry. Also, these dry quickly.

Elianto Long Wear EyeShadow Stick

This new range of Elianto EyeShadow sticks comes with six shade variety; Navy, Blue, Purple, Brown, White, and Black. Their packaging is pretty much standard pen-like with a color-coded bottom. Each stick comes with 1.4g of product, the product stick is not thin like a pencil but a bit fat(!) than usual; again nothing bulky like NYX Jumbo pencil.

The colored bottom part actually acts as a sharpener, which makes the product more unique and useful.

Elianto Long Wear EyeShadow Stick

I have been using these Long Wear Eyeshadow Sticks for a couple of weeks now. They are simply effortless in use.

Let me be honest, I’m seriously enjoying them in my way. They remind me of NYX jumbo pencil but somehow I love these more.

The product claims to be eyeshadow but I like them more as my eyeshadow base. All of them are insanely pigmented, they won’t budge unless you touch them but they aren’t really smudge-proof. When you wear them as shadow and blend them they do loose intensity. Therefore when blended they don’t really look nice; I guess that is pretty much normal for all creamy shadow stick out there, even my Laura Mercier shadow stick act same.

Waterproof? Yes, as they are wax-based so they are waterproof and don’t come off with water.

However, if you use these shadow sticks as a base for your shadow then they work wonderfully. If you are familiar with NYX Jumbo pencil then you know already what I’m trying to say. As a base they are super long-wearing and budge-proof, won’t get into your crease and will help your shadow to pop up more.

Another best thing I found, these are great as eyeliner. Only black and white shade in the range is matte in texture but the other four shade is kind of shimmery or maybe I should say metallic. With that provided sharpener its easier to sharpen them and get a thin line upon application.

LongWear EyeShadow Stick
Elianto Long Wear EyeShadow Stick

I’m sure you can see from the swatch how pigmented are they, impressive, isn’t it?

The shade Navy is not actually a Navy but kind of teal green leaned more into the blue. The shade purple is more like a burgundy I would say. Nonetheless, I absolutely love all the colors yet Blue one is my favorite 🙂

Overall, though they didn’t work for me as shadow yet I’m in love with Elianto Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick. They are a quality product with the best value of money. I really wish they’ll come up with more color.

Beauty Favourites Of The Month | May’15

June is here!!! Time literally flies…! Hope the month of May has been great for all of you 🙂 If you are a regular reader of GreenStory then you already know from the beginning of 2015 I have started writing on ‘Beauty Favourites’ segment. In every other month, I’m writing ‘Beauty Favourites’ featuring few of my favourite beauty products that I’ve been loving in past months. Last time I posted ‘Beauty Favourites’ on March’15 (click here… to read) and its the time for a new one 🙂

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

I picked up six beauty product, that ‘ve been loving constantly in April/May, to share with you guys. Unlike last ‘Beauty Favourites’ post I’m seeing that I picked mostly makeup item this time. I’m wondering if I have been too much into makeup lately… ha ha!

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm(RM30 approx):
Burts Bees Lip Balm

Absolutely loving this lip balm ever since I got it. I usually don’t like anything with mint but surprisingly I’m completely in love with its peppermint tingling sensation. Burt’s Bees Beeswax lip balm soothes and heals chapped lips fast and effectively as well as it seals moisture into lips for long. I’m using this tin version but they are also available in chapstick form. I highly recommend this product if you’re suffering from dry lips.

Elianto Longwear Eyeshadow Sticks(RM30) | Blue:
elianto longwear eyeshadow stick
elianto longwear eyeshadow stick swatch

Elianto, a Malaysian home brand, last month launched a set of long wearing eyeshadow sticks. I’ve been using a full set of them in a various shade and this blue shade turns out my favourite. Elianto Longwear shadow sticks are actually eyeshadows in a twistable pen form which you can also use as a liner. This product is creamy in texture, well pigmented and long lasting. I’ve been wearing and loving this particular ‘Blue’ shade mostly as eye liner.
A detailed review and swatch of whole set is already up on blog, read that (here…) if you are interested to know more 🙂

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pan($5) | Latte:
MakeupGeek eyeshadow latte
MakeupGeek eyeshadow latte swatch

I don’t have enough words to explain how much I’ve been loving this Makeup Geek eyeshadow in shade ‘Latte’. Latte is a warm brown shade, slightly leaned into red hue, which is just beyond perfect as crease color, as well as a prime lid shade depending on personal preference. It’s been performing as the best transition shade for my eye makeup. I was also reaching for this only whenever I wanted a neutral eye makeup. If you don’t own this shade yet you must get it.

Essence Gel Eye Pencil(RM13) | Urban Jungle:

At the beginning of May, I almost accidentally noticed this eye pencil in Essence stand. Earlier that I was completely unaware of this gel eye pencil range by Essence. They have 5/6 shade in this range including this green(slightly teal) one. Trust me guys. I’m uber surprised of how good it is. Of course, I love the shade most and guess what, it is smudge proof once it’s dry. So creamy to apply, how pigmented it is you can see from the swatch picture and this pencil is retractable. Best in price and best in quality, simply love this gel eye pencil.
I have a full review on this coming up soon, so keep your eye on!

NYX Eyebrow Gel($6.99) | Brunette:

I’m using the shade Brunette in NYX Eyebrow Gel range, I found this is the perfect match for my brows. This brow gel comes in a tube packaging and of course in gel form. Very smooth, creamy and pigmented to apply and once it dries turns into matte texture and waterproof form. I’ve been really liking the product though I don’t find the packaging friendly enough for a brow gel.

Tarte Pin Up Girl Blush Palette (RM165 | $42):
Tarte pinup girl blush palette

Got this Tarte blush palette long ago, during 2014 holiday season, and I don’t have any idea why I never really talked about this. I have been loving this palette ever since eventually this was one of the best purchase from that time. Each of the blush shade here is well pigmented(you need just a little for one application), long wearing, matte and very smooth to apply. This palette is travel-friendly, also works great if you mix the colors together to create a new shade.
