Yellow with Black eyelook

Yellow with Black eyelook

Yellow with Black eye look; I was requested by the reader to create a look using bright yellow and black.
I kept the look edgy yet soft by using just a touch of black shadow at the ending edge. Smoked out lower lash line adds depth into this look. I think this is a perfect Yellow with Black eye look for Asian skin tone also can be worn anytime.

Pictorial of eye makeup:

Yellow with Black eyelook

1. At first I applied NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to create the base for shadow. Then taking a bright yellow shadow filled the lid up to the crease.

2. With an orange brown color defined the crease area and nicely blended that with yellow shadow.

3. Using a dark black shadow drew an angular line in the outer corner. I kept the black portion minimum here to avoid the harshness of the black and give this look a softer edge.

4. Drawn a winged liner in the upper lid. Smoked out my lower lash line with black kajal and shadow and extended a second line just under the upper liner. Applied highlighting color in the brow bone and tear duct area. Lastly applied loads of mascara.

How To Do Makeup | Colorful Eye Makeup with Blue, Green, and Purple – Pictorial

Unlike following the berry and glam makeup trend of fall suddenly I got into colorful eyes! Bright color always helps to freshen up my mind, what about you? Blue eye makeup is something I guess I am always drawn to. However this season I’m feeling like more peacock like multi-color eye makeup. The eye makeup I’m sharing today isn’t overly peacock style but there are some similarities for the use of blue, green and purple eyeshadows.

Pictorial of this blue, parrot green and purple hue eye makeup:

  1. At first, I applied NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to create a base for shadow. Then taking the parrot green color from Sleek Acid palette filled a very inner corner of the lid.
  2. From my Bhcosmetics, 120 palette 2nd edition applied a purplish burgundy color in the crease the crease.
  3. Using the same palette filled empty space of lid with a bright blue color. Then taking a purple shadow defined the outer corner and slightly blended that into the crease.
  4. Smoked out my lower lash line with a reddish copper color. Applied highlighting color in the brow bone and tear duct area.
  5. Drawn a winged liner in the upper lid. Lastly applied loads of mascara.

Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush

Essence Precise Eyeliner BrushEssence Precise Eyeliner BrushEssence Precise Eyeliner BrushEssence Precise Eyeliner Brush

Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush Costs BDT 230/- and available in stores that have essence counter.

Lining eyes can be more easier and precise if you have a perfect tool/brush. Obviously that also depends on what type of brush/tool you find comfortable and handy. Some of us likes precise pointed brush, some feels good to work with thin angle brush like this Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush. If you ask me, I’m more comfortable with this type of angle brush yet a good sharp and thin angled liner brush was hard to find in BD until I found Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush.

Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush has pink color smooth synthetic bristles, the color is fun and synthetic bristle makes it easy to clean. Bristles also has finely sharp edge, bends easily while working with it. The brush body is quite sturdy and has matte finishing which makes it look sleek. I have been using this brush for couple of months now I found it very easy to work with, I’m pretty sure this is going to last forever.

If you like angle brush to line your eyes and looking for a budget brush then I highly recommend you to give Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush a try. This brush is a steal for the price and quality.

Protein Care For Damaged Hair

2

I have some serious bad habit. I shampoo every day, I shower with hot water doesn’t matter it’s winter or summer, can’t stay in wet hair so blow dry every time I wet my hair and do apply hair color often. You can guess already how damage my hair is! I can not change my habit yet I do to take a bit of extra care to repair hair damaged. Everyone knows protein is staple for damaged hair, there is many different ways to do so. Thought I’ll share with you how I do my protein care for damage hair.

My process is not much critical but simple and easy.

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

You will need…

  • An egg, of course, the source of protein, double it according to the length of your hair.
  • A pack of Amla powder(from any brand is available to you),
  • Hair oil of your preference (my recipe here), and
  • Any treatment/repair cream of your choice.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Process:
Taking generous amount from each ingredient mix them all together and make a paste. The paste should be thin enough to apply easily in hair. Using a flat brush or your own hand apply the paste root to tip of your hair. Let it rest for 1/2 hour and then wash off with shampoo and follow with conditioner. You might need two or three wash to clear off the oil and Amla residue properly. You can also use sour curd after one wash and let that rest for five minutes while doing some other shower course and then wash off again. Sour curd(read my another post about sour curd) will treat your hair more finely.

Why I use the mix of all these ingredient?
Well, surely I can use only egg or only Amla paste. But you know Egg has quite a strong bad odor which always remains no matter how many time you wash your hair if you use that alone. Amla powder condition hair nicely but its hard to clean afterward as well as Amla powder has strong stain power and I don’t want to ruin my hair color. When I mix oil with Amla powder it becomes easy to clean and because of oil Amla stain can’t really touch hair color. The reason behind using treatment/repair cream, I would say it’s more like my own psychology, I like the fragrance that those cream has and this fragrance dominate that bad odor comes from the egg. Additionally, I feel treatment/repair cream adds a bit extra nourishment.

I use this protein pack once in every other week and literally can feel that added life in my hair afterward.
I believe this process of Protein Care For Damage Hair might hep your hair aswel.

I would love to know what you do to treat your hair. Do let me know your thought is comment box 🙂

Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick | Provocative Orange, R10

0

Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick Provocative Orange(R10) available at any Good cosmetics store in Bangladesh. Costs BDT480/-  without VAT. This Revolution Perfect range probably the most highly priced range by Flormar.

The lipstick comes in a fat packaging I’ll say, though I like the composition. The lipstick itself also got the same design as the cap. Overall packaging is not that bad.

Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick Provocative Orange(R10)Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick Provocative Orange(R10)

Provocative Orange(R10) is a pure bright orange shade. Not any red-orange or pastel orange like Wet&Wild Carrot Gold neither neon like MAC Morange nor brownish orange like LimeCrime My Beautiful Rocket. It’s just a bright orange, quite unique orange shade to have in the collection.

Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick Provocative Orange(R10)

The texture of this lipstick isn’t satisfactory for me. I feel quite strange with it, it is opaque and creamy but easily get settled into fine lines and extenuate dryness. Easily transfers between lips and creates uneven color patches. Does leaves visible stains but not really long lasting. I had to struggle with them to wear nicely.

I loved all Flormar lipsticks I used previously, they were even cheaper in price. When I saw this shade, Provocative Orange(R10), in-store loved it instantly for the shade but later it turned into a disappointment. I can’t say if other shade of the whole range is similar but I won’t take the chance to buy another from this range.

If you want to get Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick Provocative Orange(R10) I’ll say buy it at your own risk, you might not like the texture as well.

My Skin Care Routine at mid-20s: Combination Skin | 2014

20

Today I’ll be talking/writing about My Skin Care Routine. First of all, as you can see from the title, I have combination skin, also it’s quite tough I guess! I haven’t faced any massive skin issue in my entire life except one or two acne occasionally, especially when I’m using a really bad product! Yes, I do have blemishes/ freckles caused by sun damage from my teen-age!

Products I’m going to write about today are in my regular skincare routine for more than six months.  None of them broke me out ever or made me disappoint in any way yet I do get one or two pimples/cyst once in a month caused by makeup stuff!

I won’t be reviewing products in detail here, it’s just a post naming those products which are in my skincare routine at this moment. Do keep in mind everyone has different and unique skin, so what is working for me might not work for you. You should definitely know your skin before determining a product for you.

Let’s start…

~Cleansing & Toning~

My Skin Care Routine

Johnson’s Baby Oil: BDT375/- in Meena Bazar
My mom introduced me to this product. Yes, I have been using this since my childhood in many ways. Till this date, I swear by Johnson’s Baby Oil. Right now this is my best friend to clean makeup. I normally apply a generous amount of oil in the face and spread it gently all over then wipe off with a wet tissue or makeup cleansing wipe. 80% of makeup comes off in one process without causing any harm to the skin.

Loreal Dermo-Expertise Eye Makeup Remover: 20RM in Watsons Malaysia
After Lasik surgery, my eyes show sensitivity to oil so cant use Johnson’s Baby Oil to remove eye makeup. Since I had the surgery I’m using Loreal Dermo-Expertise Eye Makeup Remover to remove eye makeup and it works wonderfully. I just wet a cotton pad with the remover, swipe over eye makeup. It takes 2/3 swipes to remove every bit of makeup even waterproof mascara.

OXY Pure White Wash(Oily Prone Skin): 11RM in Watsons Malaysia
I’m so in love with this face wash. I have used other variations of this facewash but specifically, this one for oily prone skin is amazing. It has micro-granule in it which helps to clean and exfoliate skin at once. I use it daily in a normal way but when I’m with makeup I apply this in the face then use my Olay Regenerist cleansing brush to ensure that extra cleaning. OXY Pure White Wash(Oily Prone Skin) doesn’t dry out my skin but leaves it really clean and smooth.

Olay Regenerist Cleansing Brush: 100RM(sale price) in Watsons Malaysia
Since I have this Olay Regenerist cleansing brush, I must say, makeup cleaning has become easier and effective. It literally shows instant effect. I use the brush when I’m with makeup other than that I use it 2/3 time a week only. I believe using a brush to clean face every day might make skin sensitive or prone to breakout.

OXY Oil Control Toner: 11RM(approx) in Watsons Malaysia
This toner is quite mild to skin and I love this. I wet a cotton pad with this toner and swipe that all over my face and neck. I use this toner always after I wash my face to balance out the PH level of the skin. As well as during the day whenever I feel oily.

Bioderma H2O Micellar Solution(Sensibio): BDT 500/-
Biodderma has various kind of H2O Solution, I use Sensibio which is for oily/combination skin. I count this product as a special treat for skin when I’m using makeup, use this instead of toner. This product is great to purify and clean the last bit of makeup from skin.

 ~Daytime Sun and Moisture Care~

My Skin Care Routine

Biore UV Aqua Rich Sunscreen(SPF50+ PA+++): 20RM(approx) in Watsons Malaysia
This Sunscreen is ah-mazing!! Water-based so doesn’t give any oily or greasy feeling, absorb into the skin quite fast also doesn’t leave any white cast. I never looked for anything else since I’m using this. Whenever I’m going out Biore UV Aqua Rich Sunscreen is a must for my face as well as hand and feet for sun protection.

OXY Oil Control Moisturizer: 13RM(approx) in Watsons Malaysia
OXY Oil Control Moisturizer has a lightweight formula, controls oil, mild to skin keeps skin hydrated for good long time. I use this during the day or before makeup to create a moisturized base.

The BodyShop VitaminE Moisture Cream: 54RM in The body shop Malaysia
The BodyShop VitaminE Moisture Cream is a bit thick and intense than my OXY moisturizer yet quite soothing for my combination skin. I usually alter between these two.

Simple Age Resisting Eye Cream: 29RM(approx) in Watsons Malaysia
Love this Simple Eye Cream. Feels so light in under eye area, provide proper hydration. I use this 2/3 times a day, whenever I feel like adding some moisture under my eye.

~Night Care~

My Skin Care Routine

Bio oil(30RM in Watsons Malaysia) & The Bodyshop VitaminE Serum-in-oil(99RM in The BodyShop Malaysia):
This might sound crazy that I’m using oils for my kind of oily skin but yes I’m. Both of these oil are not that oily to handle. I usually alter between these two every other day or just mix both together. I apply not more than two drops of oil after cleaning and toning my face every night and leave that overnight. Next morning I get a pretty visible pampered face.

~Special Care~

Taylor Swift - Blank Space

Fruit of the Earth Aloe vera Gel: 8RM in Watsons Malaysia
Sometimes open and harsh sun creates terrible burn in the skin, I use this aloe gel to cure such issue. Obviously, I don’t get burned every day, it’s just those rough sunny days, I use this aloe gel instead of my other moisturizer after coming back home. This gel does help to soothe and cure burns faster.

The BodyShop Tea Tree Oil: 28RM in The BosyShop Malaysia
For me, The BodyShop Tea Tree Oil works as a great antiseptic. I don’t bother spots on my face but I hate bumps. This oil helps to reduce any bump and redness caused a rash or ingrowing pimple. No. it doesn’t work like magic takes 2/3 days to heal such issue.

Products I mentioned above are only those which I’m using constantly according to my skin behavior. You might have noticed I haven’t mentioned any exfoliating product or something for extra care like face pack!

Using Face pack or mask actually unstable in my case. I’m mostly a home remedy type person yet using a variety of readymade mask as well.  I often change them so I don’t count them as a routine work.
About exfoliator, as I’m using a facial brush and my regular face wash has granule particle in it so I don’t use any extra scrubbing product on a regular basis. Exfoliation is necessary for skin but anything extra can harm skin for sure. However, I do use Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask once a week to clean up any remain dead cell.

***Unfortunately most of the stuff is not available in Bangladesh, I had to stock them up from abroad. But If you are interested in Bodyshop Product then Unimart, Bodyline, CosmicJovian etc shops do keep few of Bodyshop product. you can check there. To mention, OXY products are available in a most Asian country like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.
