Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack | Best Sleeping Mask I’ve Used So Far

30

I started using Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack earlier last year (when I fell for Korean Skin Care product) and I never looked into anything else till now. I’m completely in love the way it feels on the skin and how it completes my skin hydration needs. Usually, the another sleeping mask by Laneige, Water Sleeping Mask, is more popular among all but I choose Firming Sleeping mask for myself because I’m in my late 20’s and I think my skin surely need some firming treatment at this stage.

Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack comes in a 50ml jar, the jar is glass like high-quality plastic, a bit heavy but looks nice. The best part is it comes with and spatula (this what I look for in every skin care stuff especially those what comes in a jar packaging) so you can maintain hygiene and obviously it is easier to take out the product with a spatula.
The pack has the jelly-like texture, muted white in color and has some kind of floral-ish smell.

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Trehalose, Cyclohexasiloxane, PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Polysorbate 20, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Glyceryl Caprylate, Propanediol, Stearyl Behenate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexylglycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Adenosine, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentastearate, Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, HYDROXYPROPYL BISPALMITAMIDE MEA, Cetearyl Glucoside, Tapioca Starch, Inulin Lauryl Carbamate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-Glucan, Aminobutyric Acid, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polianthes Tuberosa Polysaccharide, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Dextrin, Lactobacillus Ferment, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.

Laneige says,

Feeling tired and lethargic? Forget everything and go to bed. Trust in be waterful!

The focusing technology of Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack is SleePOP and Sleepscent.
SleePOP helps to restore skin’s to recover, alleviating the appearance of the fine lines and preventing further damage during the day, to say more easily, suppresses fine lines during the night and prevents them from progressing by shutting off UV ray. This technology containing evening primrose that blossoms in the night, GABA, and collagen peptide (mentioned in the ingredient list) that prevents skin from going dry by strengthening its barrier and improves skin’s restorative function. Where Sleepscent is an aromatic scent that soothes stressed skin, helps to wake up fresh and rejuvenated in the next morning.

Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack

My experience with Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack:

Every night after cleansing, toning and my special care (e.g. serum, oil, or emulsion) I apply a generous amount of Laneige Firming Sleeping pack in my face and neck, wait around 10 min (so all the product doesn’t get sucked up by the pillow but can be absorbed by the skin) then jump into bed. Washing off my face is the first thing I do in the next morning and I do get an oil free plumped up face every time.
Initial look and of Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack reminds me of Astalift Jelly Aquarysta (long ago I used that and felt that’s a bit overhyped considering the price) because of it’s texture. No matter how much you poke the product it will come back to an even shape. They call it ‘Memory Gel’ technology and claims it will resurface the skin in the same way. I can’t strongly take the side of the claim but I love how it gets into shape all over again; thus, there is never a messy jar, it feels fresh and new every time I open it. I have used quite a few sleeping mask so far, all they felt sticky and all they took quite a bit of time to absorb into skin after application. So I had to apply those sleeping mask, at least, an hour before going to bed. With Laneige Firming Sleeping pack I never faced that issue. This mask is super light weight and almost (a teeny-tiny bit sticky!) non-sticky, gets into the skin within a minute. While applied doesn’t fell jelly-ish but watery, the product literally melts into the skin when you spread it and a pea size amount of product is more than enough to cover the whole face. I also love how it smells( a very soothing and cooling smell, nothing too strong), I can’t say if the smell helps me to sleep or not but I love it.
When I first started using this sleeping mask I had some dry patches on my nose and chin, those are completely gone now. I’m not sure how it works on firming skin only I can say my smile lines are in control. No doubt how hydrating this mask is, it fulfills my combination skin need in every bit. As I mentioned before, this jar is my fourth one using it so you can definitely tell this is that good so I’m hooked on it till now.

I’m continuing using this mask (won’t lie, I bought the Water Sleeping mask recently, though to give that one a try as well) because now I can’t think my night time skin care without it. If you’re in you late 20’s and haven’t tried Laneige Firming Sleeping Pack yet then I highly recommend it. As because it is suitable for all skin type and from my experience I can say anyone with any skin type will love this sleeping mask.

Lancome Spring Collection ’16 | My Parisian Pastels

46

Is the winter over already? Is it spring yet? I don’t know, it is always summer here in Malaysia! I get the news of changing season when a brand launch their new seasonal collection, might sound weird but true for me! Last week Lancôme Malaysia announced the news of upcoming spring by launching their new makeup collection ‘My Parisian Pastels’ for spring 2016. This collection is inspired by the softness and playfulness of spring and its pastel hues.

I was honored to be a guest of the launch party, we had so much fun, we literally got to do makeup on others using the new collection. There was also a makeup demo by the national makeup artist of Lancome. He showed us how can we make the most out of this spring collection.

What was new in the Lancome Spring Collection?

  • My Parisian Pastels Allover Illuminating Cubes (Approx 200RM/$59 for 9×3gm of product) (Shop Here)
9 shimmery cube with 9 different shade. They all are in a pastel shade.
  • My Parisian Blush (Approx 150RM/$39 for 3gm of product) (Shop Here)
2 shade, Corail De Ville ( a flushed coral) and Rose Haussmann( A bright Pink)

*** I have noticed, in the UK/USA,  there is some more product comes in this collection like nail polish and lipstick (not sure though) but here in Malaysia these were the only launch.

[wp_ad_camp_5][/wp_ad_camp_5]

Lancome Spring Collection'16

I have with me (courtesy of Lancome Malaysia) 2 of the new product from My Parisian Pastels collection. I have been trying them ever since I got them, obviously to share my thoughts with you guys. I absolutely love the packaging of this collection. They all comes in a tin box packaging (tin box totally gives me that childhood feeling) with fun springy print on top. Even when you’ll be finished with the product you can always keep these boxes because they are irresistibly cute! Lets talk about how these product performs…

My Parisian Pastels All-Over Illuminating Cubes:

My Parisian Pastels Illuminating CubesThere are 9 cubes in the tin comes in a separate plastic case and in a different shade. As you can see from the picture, all them shades are with a number to maintain the arrangement(I guess). Lancome showed us in the demo that the top row can be used as color correcting shade for the skin, second row as blush, the third row for highlight and contour, you can use all of them as an eyeshadow and last but not the least, if mixed all together they are great as an all-over illuminator for face and body.

Have a look at the swatches below…Lancome My Parisian Pastel Swatch

These shimmer cubes are shimmery and shiny but none of them aren’t chunky, I love the finish they give. If applied on a fair skin the shade difference is very much visible but on my skin (medium tan), specially if I try to use the as an eyeshadow, shade difference is hardly detectable. In my experience, I find this set performs best as an all over illuminator, just as they way it named.

My Parisian Blush:

Lancome My Parisian BlushLancome My Parisian Blush Swatch

This blush, Corail De Ville, is my favorite in the entire collection, so happy to get it in my goody bag. It’s a flushed coral shade, I feel there is a hint of rosiness aswell. The blush is creamy (kind of mousse) in texture and it turns into powder finish once applied and doesn’t give any sort of patchiness. It gives very nice pigmentation, doesn’t appear opaque but looks somewhat flashed. It feels extremely lightweight on the skin and last throughout the day. Among the two blush shade, I find This particular shade is the most suitable one for women of color. Recently I’ve been loving this blush as my go to one because of it’s super blendable formula.

Lancome ‘My Parisian Pastels’ is a limited edition collection for spring’16. They are already available to purchase in every Lancome counter nationwide. Grab your one soon!

Soufeel, Budget 925 Silver Charm Bracelet [when there is no Pandora… wink]

32

How do you like my SOUFEEL charm bracelet? Who doesn’t love charm bracelet after all? My charm bracelet fascination started with Pandora but everyone knows they are not pocket-friendly at all. For all you charm bracelet lover, I’m here today to share about Soufeel Jewelry. They offer 925 sterling silver jewelry includes charms, bracelet, necklace, rings, earpiece with a budget price tag. Soufeel also has some exclusive item with 14K gold.

The idea of a charm bracelet is, I’m sure you already know, you make your own bracelet combination by filling up your bracelet with interchangeable charms. Your bracelet can also represent the token of your special moment, mood or occasion. You can turn your simple bracelet to a timeless piece, isn’t it fascinating?

Soufeel Jewelry (founded in 2011) is a web-based international brand (they do have a country, language, and currency extension) that guarantees 100% 925 Serling Silver. They offer worldwide shipping (Free Shipping over $50/RM215) along with 365-day return and exchange policy. Their shipping time is satisfactory I’ll say because my package arrived within 10-12 days after I got the shipping confirmation.

They came in a medium size cardboard box, nothing fancy. The Jewelry pieces were there in another bubble packet and there was individual zip bag for each item. I’ve seen people getting their Soufeel product in a nice fancy box but that didn’t happen in my case, not sure why possibly an unintentional mistake!

Let me show you what I got…

Soufeel Jewelry review compared to pandora

The basic or a rose gold  bracelet you can get at a discounted price (or free sometimes) if you shop over $99/RM425, I picked up a basic one in my size (choosing size wasn’t hard for me as I know my Pandora size. All such bracelets are made in a standard size so if you already own any bracelet, scale it, you will find your right size) and also picked up three charms of my choice.

  • Personalized Picture Charm: This is the one I love the most and was so excited to get this. There is quite a few charm shape (round, heart, box etc) to personalize your picture charm. I chose the heart shaped one and put my wedding picture there. It’s not hard to order a picture charm, you just need to have your preferred picture and follow the direction on the website. I was initially worried that how it is going to be but when I got it in hand it’s perfection completely impressed me!

Soufeel Picture Charm

  • Vintage Camera Charm: A blogger who doesn’t love a camera, is that even possible? haha… yes, I had to get this vintage camera charm because I love camera 🙂

Soufeel jewellery Vintage Camera Charm

  • Rose Gold Star Charm: I have a slight obsession for anything star and obviously the color rose gold so I had to grab this charm when I saw it. Love the dangling part of it. This one is actually addressed as a pendant in Soufeel website but I wear it in my bracelet (you can double the wear as pendant :p)

Soufeel Rose Gold Star Charm

A basic neckless(picture below) was free (for orders over $69) with my order. I love how well made this necklace is and it has three loops so you can easily adjust the length of your necklace weather you want to wear is long or just as a neck hugging one.

Soufeel Basic Necklace

My experience with Soufeel charm?

I’ve been wearing them regularly (I’m a rough jewelry user), my Soufeel bracelet and charms are been through water(while cleaning dishes), soap(while taking a shower) and what not! I’m happy to tell you they are doing fantastic after all my rough behavior. No discoloration or anything else, even the rose gold one still shining bright, they do collect scratches though (Pandora charms does too). I’m deeply in love with them.
Soufeel charms are compatible with Pandora or any other bracelet so you can freely mix them up and wear them as you want.

How does Soufeel Jewelry compare to Pandora?

Soufeel Bracelet

Initially, Soufeel Jewellery looks same like Pandora but they do differ from Pandora.
First of all, when they came in they were so shiny when pandora items aren’t that shiny when new but that shine goes away and gives natural silver shine after using them regularly. holes in Pandora charm are smaller and they usually screw it into a bracelet where holes in Soufeel charms are slightly big so they directly go into a bracelet.

Soufeel Bracelet

Secondly, there is a weight difference, Soufeel charm and bracelet are lightweight than Pandora. The Soufeel bracelet is also visibly thin compared to my Pandora bracelet; that’s how you can judge the cheap price of Soufeel Product. Lastly, the clasp mechanism looks similar but the end part bracelet chain is different in design. Apart from this, I couldn’t find any other visible difference.
In fact I, myself will never compare them to Pandora or any other brand. Soufeel Jewellery is unique in their own way.

Soufeel Charm

I won’t lie, I’ve noticed quite a few online jewelry brand that sells silver charms and all but when it came to Soufeel I didn’t think twice to put my trust on. Soufeel has a vast collection of charms and almost always there are some sale and discount offer going on so it’s possible to save more on them.

These Soufeel silver charms are worth checking out. Especially when you want to spend for Pandora and forget caring about P-brand or those other high-end silver jewelry brands out in the market.

Update:
Video review on how my charms are performing so far with a few more charms, watch it out…

10 Beauty Favourites | Product That I Loved In The Year Of 2015

26

Hello there Beautiful… Happy New Year🎉
It’s already the second week of January’16 and this post literally is the first post of this year! To begin my blog journey this year, I’m going to talk about my 10 Beauty Favourites, products that I was hooked with in the year of 2015. Though I’m saying they were my favorites from past year but I tell you guys, I absolutely love then till date yet I do wish some more amazing product I’ll encounter in this brand new 2016 🙂

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Foundation:

Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation

In 2015, I have tried quite a few foundation and Make Up Forever Ultra HD (Shop Here) ended up being the best one so far. The best part about this foundation is I never had such perfect foundation shade (Y425) match until this one. This is just exactly my skin color, moreover, this doesn’t oxidize either. This foundation feels extremely lightweight, blends into the skin like nothing else and wear time is also impressive.
Let me know if you are interested to know more of my experience with MUFE Ultra HD foundation, I would love to post a detailed review for you guys 🙂

Bronzer:
The Balm Betty-Lou-Manizer

I have been continuously loving The Balm Bahama Mama since 2014, still love that but The Balm Betty-Lou-Manizer revealed an another dimension of bronzing to me this year! That perfect sun-kissed bronzy glow it gives is compared to nothing! This has been an absolute love since I have it.

Highlighter:
MAC Oh Darling Highlighter

Umm… a limited edition piece from MAC Magic Of The Night collection, I feel lucky that I managed to get my hands on it. Oh! Darling is a mineralized skin finish formula so it has a buttery texture that literally melts into skin. It’s warm gold color blends into my warm skin flawlessly leaving a healthy sunkissed glow!
I wrote about this highlighter earlier, if you are interested to see swatch you can check it here…!

Concealer:
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer (Shop Here) has been the most used concealer for me because of its’ lightweight and super-blendable formula. I also talked about this in my previous Empties November’15 post. Repurchased this a couple of times and I’m sure I’ll again unless I find any better one!

Lipstick Love:

There are two lipstick (click one the picture to enlarge) in my favorite mark from the year of 2015. One is MAC Eugenie from Giambattista Valli collection. It’s a deep maroon with cool undertone. I found myself reaching for this shade the most in the past year.
Another is a recent love, Ofra Miami Fever liquid lipstick, got it earlier in December. It’s a beautiful burnt orange shade, a perfectly warm and deep almost nude for women of color(me) and the formula of this lipstick is also amazing. I’ve been wearing this every single day since I have it, I had to put it in my favorite list 🙂

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

Lip Liner:
Essence Lip Liner

Essence longlasting lipliners are the bomb considering their price and quality. They are buttery in texture, glided smoothly with full opacity and really long lasting. Doesn’t stain lips but stays put. I have quite a few of them but these two shade (Lovely Frappuccino in right and Plum Cake in left) in the picture is my favorite. As because they comes in an auto pen packaging they are very handy to use. You must give them a try if you haven’t tried yet.

Brow Product:
NYX Brow Mascara

For my brows, I always prefer a clear mascara to set them in place. Earlier in 2015 I realized the black hair of my brows are too prominent to get a softer look so I opted for a tinted brow mascara. NYX is definitely the best pocket-friendly option. I picked the shade brunette, its not black and deep enough to go with my brows. I’m also satisfied with its quality. NYX tinted brow mascara (Shop Here) has a thin wand that is perfect to work on brows, once applied it also last throughout the time.

Mascara:
Benefit Roller Lash & Maybelline Sensational Mascara

You won’t be surprised seeing Benefit Roller Lash mascara (Shop Here) in my favorite list because I already mentioned this uncountable time (review here…) as my favorite. This mascara has been the ultimate favorite till now, nothing lifts up my lashes like this one.
For a drugstore option, Maybelline Sensational mascara (Shop Here) stole my heart. This mascara keeps lashes separate while giving the desired length. Volume can be added with a few layer. Its curved wand also helps to lift lashes upward, its waterproof formula keeps the product intact until you remove it with a makeup remover.

Face Hydrating Mist:
MAC Mineralise Charged Water

There is a lot of face hydrating mist available in the market, even MAC’s Fix+ is one of the most popular among all. Regardless of all, I’m so happy that I started using MAC’s Mineralize Charged Water (Shop Here). I love it more because it helps to retain skin natural glow along with hydration. There is a few variety of Charged Water available yet I love the ‘Renewal Defence/Revitalizing Energy’ formula more because it has pure diamond dust infused in it which energize and gives facial skin an instant glow. This facial hydrating mist is must before and after my makeup whenever I want a glowy finish.

Skin Tool:
Clarisonic Mia2 With Radiance Brush Head

At the beginning of 2015, I added the best (realized that over the time) skin care tool in my skincare routine that is Clarisonic Mia 2 (Shop Here). This is at once the most effective cleansing tool for makeup and an everyday skin exfoliator. The way Clarisonic works (sonic technology, no vibration or spin) actually helps to improve skin texture in the long run. I initially started with the sensitive brush head, later on, I opted for radiance brush head. I find radiance brush head more suitable for my skin and, of course, loving the result so far.
I have a plan to write an in-depth article on my experience with Clarisonic Mia 2, keep an eye here for that 🙂

So…
these were my 10 Beauty Favourites of 2015. I still love them yet wishing to explore more new stuff in 2016.
Can you see any favorite of yours here in my list?

Hair Color Idea | Rocking My Pink Hair

8

I’m sure sometimes you do think of changing your hair color. Sometimes we all want to spice up our hair with a hot vibrant color! Needless to say, the whole world is now flooding with all rainbow hair fever. But, when we think of doing such bright hair there is the dark side of severe hail damage! No matter what you do your hair will be dead damaged afterward and recovering that is nearly impossible unless you cut off that part. However, we do go crazy on color without thinking of damage! After all, it’s just hair and it will grow new eventually!
So a couple of months ago I did change my hair color into pink, not all of it but partially, (thanks from the heart to my hairstylist for such wise advice). Hence writing my experience to give you a hair color idea how you can also rock bright pink or any other color causing as less damage as possible.

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

I went for a haircut but decided to go pink on the spot! I wanted the color in full hair or in highlighted part but my hairstylist Keith (who did my previous hair color with highlights) didn’t allow me that. He said, “it won’t look good to see all damaged hair in the top and you’ll go mad, instead, keep it inside so you damaged part will not show much, but the color will spice up your look”. I can’t tell you enough how right he was!

So, for the base of pink color, I had to bleach my hair and it took three times of bleaching to get the blonde base as I have almost black hair naturally.

After bleaching, they applied pink color and kept it for around 20 minutes. Does this process call dip-dye? Maybe, I’m not sure.
So then I had my pink hair color done. I absolutely love the side-swiped touch of pink!

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Hair Color Idea | PinkHair Color Idea | PinkHair Color Idea | Pink

I was told this color will last 3-4 weeks but after two months I have the color almost intact (Keith and his team did indeed a good job). They also told me I can change the color of this part anytime easily to another vibrant color if I want as because this part is already bleached, I’ll just have to remove the color and reapply another.

It’s been two months rocking this pink hair color, who ever seen it so far loved it, specially they complimented about the idea of such hide-and-seek style 😉

What you think this hair color idea??? Love it or hate it??? Do share with me if you have any amazing hair color idea that you are rocking recently or planning to do soon!
And yes, if you are wondering about post-color care info then I mentioned a few in my previous post, read that out.

Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick | Review & Swatch

24

Hi there Beautiful, doing well? In this post, I’ll be talking about Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick. They are quite new in Maybelline yet here in the market for 2/3 months now. When I first got them in hand I thought it will be like other typical liquid lipstick but no they are not. Let me explain you why within a few.

[wp_ad_camp_3][/wp_ad_camp_3]

Maybelline says:
[color-box]

A liquid lip color which creates a liquid-to-matte sensation while providing petal smooth comfort.

[/color-box]

I have two shade here to talk about, shade 2 and 12 (I really wish they had a name than the number).
Shade 2 is a pink shade, almost a bright baby pink, depending on lips pigmentation it might come darker. Shade 12 is a warm nude shade, the hue is deep and subtle enough to go with any skin tone, perfect for everyday wear.

Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid LipstickMaybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick

First of all, I love their packaging. They are classic, high-quality plastic yet glass like square tube comes with soft doe foot applicator. Shades of the product and the color on tube might vary a bit, but it is possible to determine what shade is inside. No funky smell but the product has a nice cooling smell in it.

Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick Swatch

It says it is matte(velvet) but I find it quite glossy, the shine tones down slightly over the time but they don’t go matte ever. There I understand why Maybelline says ‘cream-to-matte formula that promises you hydration’. Yet again whenever I wear it I feel, “it says it’s matte, it’s not turning matte!”

[wp_ad_camp_4][/wp_ad_camp_4]

However, Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick has decent pigmentation though it varies on the shade. I find my shade 12 appears more pigmented than the shade 2. Upon application, the feels exactly like a gloss but more pigmented and not sticky or tacky like a normal gloss would feel. They glide on smoothly, gives even pigmentation on the lip, no patchiness or else, doesn’t settle into lip lines, extremely hydrating, but they are not transfer-proof.

Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick | Review & Swatch

As because they aren’t transfer-proof and doesn’t have that regular matte lipstick nature, their wear time is low, around 2-3 hours, kinda like a lipgloss. Although there is some kinda soothing smell but that’s is not noticeable upon use.
Overall, Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks are definitely not a matte lip product but a lipstick in a liquid form. They are very comfortable/ lightweight to wear and gives decent pigmentation. They work wonder as a topper, you can wear them on top of any other lipstick of similar shader to retain hydration or top of a different shade to create another shade.

If you are not a fan of discomfort all those regular matte lipstick gives then Maybelline Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick is for you.

Beauty Empties November’15 | Hair, Skin, Makeup products

24

Hello, December! Hard to believe we are already in the last month of the year. Don’t you think the year just flew by? I’m here today with my November beauty empties. As always I have hair, skin and makeup product that I’ve used up in the past months. Some of the product here I really love that they are surely a repurchase in future and some of them I’m not keen to at all.

Hope my experience will help you to determine a product for yourself but not to forget, every product acts differently on different skin/hair.

Let’s begin…

Hair & Body:
Hair and Body Product empties and thoughts on them ?

  • The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo | RM52 for 250ml

This is a shampoo for dry hair. I have been doing a lot to my hair lately thus been suffering from dry and damaged hair. The BodyShop’s Rainforest shampoo has quite a good reputation for its mild but effective characteristic. The shampoo is enriched with various oil and honey. It is organic and free of all those bad stuff for hair like sulfates, silicons etc.

My hair is dry, but my scalp is oily, the shampoo worked nicely on keeping my hair nourished, didn’t cause hair fall either. It doesn’t lather up like a normal shampoo would give a clean scalp after wash but on the second day, my scalp was oily again.

Mostly I shampoo every day so second-day oily scalp didn’t bother me much, however, I think there are many better options in the market if I look at the price, the amount of product I get and overall performance. For example, Organix shampoo that I talked about in my previous post, I even mentioned Organix Shampoo in one of my favorite posts.

  • Esmeria Soothing Organics Hand & Body Cream* | RM79 for 75ml

Esmeria is a Malaysian home brand, all their products are natural and certified organic.
This cream is specially made for sensitive skin, claims to have various organic oils, shea butter, aloe extract, olive leaf extract vitamin e and many more natural ingredients. I used it mainly in my hands, loved how it keeps my hand hydrated and moisturized. As because it contains many types of oil so the cream does gives slight oily/greasy feeling and I couldn’t be a fan of the herby smell it has. Leaving aside the herby fragrance and oiliness, I won’t deny this cream is indeed a great one to revive dry skin.

  • Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter | $15

A thick and intense body butter with a sweet smell and girly pink tub packaging! I don’t hate this product, in fact, I like it but I don’t love it that much that I can’t live without. Honestly, I can’t tell more than a line about this body butter, it’s nothing special than other normal body butter.

Skin Care:
Skincare Product Empties

  • The BodyShop Tea Tree Facial Wash | RM49 for 250ml

I read some reviews that say’s ‘this facial wash is magical and vanished my acne overnight’… I mean seriously??? I don’t get it how can people exaggerate things to that level! haha… Anyways, I swear I love Body Shop’s Tea Tree facial wash (but I don’t know the art of exaggerating word) and I’ll tell you the truth why I love it?

First, I love the smell of tea tree product, it just wakes me up instantly (everyone might not like the smell, my husband hates it). It has a thick (not runny) gel-like consistency that makes it easy to spread on the skin and you need a little amount to cover the face. It doesn’t lather up, feels mild on the skin but gives a deep clean, even every pore feels refreshed afterward. I found it very good for fighting bacteria and germs, hence you get less skin issue while using it.

Somehow the face was also controlled excess oil production. I’m completely addicted to the cooling sensation it gives, can’t start my morning without this. I highly recommend The BodyShop Tea tree facial wash if you have sensitive skin, problem skin or oily to combination skin.

  • The BodyShop Tea Tree Oil | RM39

I remember I talked about Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil a while back. It’s no magical product, but I always do rely on this when I’m having skin problems. I believe tea tree oil works great as an antibacterial agent and helps to fight acne/rashes/pimple.

  • Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask | RM95

This is my 2nd jar of Laneige Firming Sleeping Mask. I love this product, it’s probably the best sleeping mask I have used so far. It has gel consistency but feels watery upon application. Unlike other sleeping masks I’ve used so far, it’s lightweight and son-sticky, absorbs into skin fast and the mild fragrance calms your mind! In the next morning a plumped and perfectly hydrated skin is a must.

Laneige has also a normal sleeping mask, but I prefer the firming mask for myself considering my age. Not sure though, if it really works on firming skin.

  • Hope Girl Honey Bee Venom Multisolution Cream | RM 74

This cream is a gem, but the bad part is it’s not widely available. Only a few pharmacies here in Malaysia keep this and it goes out of stock very often. Honey Bee Venom, this is the ingredient that holds my temptation. I find the cream extremely moisturizing and does help to improve skin texture. A few months ago I’ve been suffering from terrible sensitive skin then this cream was the savior.

It has a lightweight gel-like consistency that is easy to apply and absorbs into skin fast. It doesn’t feel oily, but it’s not anything matte either. Quite a different one compared to any other moisturizer I’ve used so far, it gives the feeling of slathering gluey goodness into the skin. I just opened my 3rd pot, do give it a try if you haven’t tried it yet.

  • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – NC35 | RM84

An old favorite, a thick liquid concealer that gives the maximum coverage (will not hide tattoos though, I meant maximum for normal use). It is creamy enough and blends flawlessly but feels slightly heavy on the skin if you want to wear it every day.

  • Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer | RM100

MAC Pro Longwear used to be my ultimate favorite, ever since I started Urban Decay naked skin concealer it totally replaced my affection for MAC. Naked Skin concealer is more creamy and super easy to blend, doesn’t crease, extremely lightweight and has almost the same coverage (maybe just a bit less) like mac, stays put for long. This has been my go-to for an everyday look tonight out or for any special occasion. Girl, you must give this concealer a try if you haven’t yet.

  • Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara | RM31

Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara | Yay or Nay?

A waterproof mascara that comes with a curvy wand. I love most of the Maybelline mascara, but somehow this one failed me. Everything is okay with it, but it clumps up my lashes which I didn’t like at all.

  • Essence I Love Extreme Mascara | RM17

essence I love extreme mascara | Yay or Nay?
Essence Go Wild Lashes mascara used to be one of my favorite drugstore mascara. But I don’t see that one anymore in my local store so I bought this one to try and the stiff fat wand of it disappointed me so badly. The wand doesn’t really grip the lashes so whenever I tried to use this it goes all over my eyes.

  • Maybelline Fashion Brow Pencil | RM31

Maybelline Fashion Brow | Yay or Nay?
This brow pencil comes with two ends, one has a puffy end that has powder inside, another has a thin stick of the brown color (I picked the brown shade for me). It’s pigmented and easy to use brow product, perfect for that time when you are in a rush but if you fancy a well shaped neat brow then this product isn’t helpful. The color stick is flimsy so it breaks easily thus the product doesn’t give you a full use. I have used up two of this and I think I’ll stop here and will look for a better option.

  • Maybelline Micellar Water | RM20

I (freaking!!!) love this cleansing water. When I bought it for the first time I haven’t had much expectation but fell in love from the first use. I like it mainly to remove my eye makeup. It cleanses so well without making my eyes red, you won’t need much effort to remove waterproof mascara with it. Good on removing face makeup as well. I really wish Maybelline will come up with a bigger bottle of this 🙂

So those were all in my beauty empties stash in the month of November. Have you used any of them? Any favorite or regret you see in this list? Do share your experience with us in the comment section below 🙂
