Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil | The Ultimate One-Step Makeup Cleanser?

Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin, I myself totally agree with this belief. Along with that, I would say, beautiful skin depends on how beautifully you clean your makeup. From a drugstore makeup remover to a high-end cleansing balm, I’ve tried quite a lot so far. A while ago I got to try the iconic makeup cleanser – Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Shu Uemura claims to sell 1 bottle of this cleansing oil in every 7 seconds worldwide. This claim is surely fascinating, no?

 

What Shu Uemura’s says about their cleansing oil:

Shu Uemura cleansing oil melts away your skin’s impurities (skincare and the most waterproof makeup) in just 1 deep cleanse. Cleansing oils are often misconstrued as being not gentle enough for the skin or so greasy that a face wash is necessary afterward. Shu Uemura cleansing oils have been specifically developed to respond to these concerns and provide a thorough yet gentle deep cleansing in just 1 step – the ultimate blend of oil molecules and quick and easy emulsification technology.

Shu Uemura has quite a few variations of their cleansing oil. In Shu Uemura’s 50 year anniversary, I was given (to try out) these two type of cleansing oil,

  • Anti/oxi+ Skin Pollutant & Dullness Clarifying Cleansing Oil
  • Blanc Chroma Brightening & Polishing Gentle Cleansing Oil

I tried them both but there is hardly any difference I can mention except their scent. Blanc Chroma, the light lavender one has a super mild smell, something floral. Anti/Oxi+ one has an herbal scent, almost tea tree-like, which is pretty strong. Fragrance-wise I love the Anti/Oxi+ one more. Although their ingredient list is not same at all. Each of them contains different beneficial ingredient focusing on different skin demand.

 

My Experience with Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil:

One step deep cleansing formula was quite interesting to me. When you massage with Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil it literally melts away all makeup very nicely. Not gonna lie, for the waterproof and stubborn mascara it actually takes two attempts to melt it completely. Then if you add a bit of water and emulsify, the oil act just like soap/cleanser. It doesn’t foam up but creates smooth lather. You can simply wash off. I like that Shu Uemura cleansing oil doesn’t give any dryness but supple and clean skin afterward. After giving these oils a use for enough time, I was amazed that my combination skin, (or you can say oily skin) wasn’t bothered by this makeup cleanser at all.

I do agree that this cleansing oil removes makeup completely and deep cleanse the face. However, I would agree with the word – one-step cleansing. I do feel the need of using a wipe in between to clean my mascara. Also, I wash my face afterward with a facial cleanser. If I don’t follow up with a facial cleanser after using Shu Umera Cleansing Oil, I’ve always found my mascara left a solid dark residue. Now, this can be only my Benefit Roller Lash mascara haha, I don’t know!

 

Do I recommend Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil?

–  I do if you’re fancy spending on a high-end makeup cleanser.
To be honest, I prefer a cleansing balm more than a cleansing oil. Therefore I don’t really opt for oils regardless the price tag. If I were a fan of cleansing oil this Shu Uemura one could have been a favorite of mine.

If you’re following me on my FB and IG then you must have noticed my excitement towards the Jimmy Choo and his exhibition (starting from today, 18th Oct”17) of Princess Diana shoes.

Just after my birth, I was named ‘Diana’ by my loving uncle (Brig Gen, Bangladesh Army). Needless to mention, he was under the influence of the majestic beauty of Her Highness. like all other men around the world. I talked with my uncle just after attending this press conference with Jimmy Choo about his  ‘Tribute to Diana’ show. I was curious to know why my uncle named me so. He said, of course, every man in the world had Diana in there heart that time. Also, he joined the commission just the day I was borne. I’m also the first baby in my maternal family. For such very reasons, he named me with princes’ name. However, after the death of the princess, he decided to discontinue it. Thus now I, obviously, known by a different name.

Initially, my fascination and interest grew about Diana because of the name. Since I know about her, no one is a princess to me but her. You won’t believe, I use to collect her pictures and posted in my childhood. The craze I had for her, once upon a time, never had for even any alive celebrity. I simply love her. And so when I heard the news of  ‘My Tribute To Diana’ exhibition by Jimmy Choo I got excited like a child. Because he is going to exhibit every shoe he made for Princess Diana and also the last uncollected pair of her.

In fact, the excitement about this exhibition is actually double to me. I think you can already guess that. no? Comm’n, who doesn’t dream about a pair of Jimmy Choo and more specifically for that IDOINCHOO moment. I won’t deny at the conference seeing the creator Dr. Jimmy Choo, was completely a fangirling session for me haha. Nonetheless, not only me but you might get to see him in person a well at the event, especially on the award ceremony day.

Enough of being personal and talking about my stories. I already had the luck of having a peak on Diana’s last Shoe. I’m sure you wouldn’t like to miss the chance to have a look either. Let me tell you about the actual event that is coming in your way this week.

The Malaysia Fashion Week (MFW) is about to start its fourth edition from 18-22 October’17 at Publika. This year’s theme is ‘Art Beyond Fashion’ – The Capsule Collection. Accordingly, this fourth edition of MFW will be a blend of art and fashion. Along with the star of the show – Jimmi Choo’s “My Tribute to Diana” Gallery, there will be a large variety of fashion and lifestyle artsy displays, clusters, and galleries. Half Moon Eyes, have you heard the name of this Korean Skincare brand before? Around 6/7 month ago, I didn’t. I have a young sister, actually over-the-phone-besty from Bangladesh who is a solid skincare junkie. I was introduced to this mask by her. She always raves about this mask whenever we gossip about skincare. So my curiosity climbed up and I got myself a few pack of Half Moon Eyes Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask from Althea. You won’t believe, I fell in love as well just after my first use.

We use to call it Pink Fruity Mask, sometimes dragon fruit mask because the packaging has that fruit printed on it. After a really long time, we actually noticed the brand name – Half Moon Eyes. Might sound funny that we both loved this mask so much but we noticed the brand name after so long when we thought to dig into some more product by the brand. However, it is true!

I swear this Half Moon Eyes Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask impressed me so bad that I was planning to feature it here in GreenStory ever since! But as usual, everything takes time for me, better late than never of course!

Half Moon Eyes Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask & its Basic:

Pink Fruity Mask is a clay-based mask, comes in a 10ml capsule pack/pod. Pink Fruity mask has a sweet scent in it which is not really strong. I don’t know what is this smell is like, nothing felt like dragon fruit but I love this scent. There are some black seed-like particles in Pink Fruity Mask. The number of those seeds aren’t a lot to act as exfoliating beads or they don’t interrupt while spreading the mask either. Oh yes, this wash off mask is pinky-coral in color.

How Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask controls skin oil:

First of all, this HME Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask is super comfortable on the skin. Every clay mask I’ve used so far will give some sort of drying sensation. Where Pink Fruity mask doesn’t feel drying at all. Every clay-based mask I’ve used created a powdery mess when they dry but this one somehow sticks to the face. It melts so easily with water and creates a creamy paste. It is so easy to massage onto the face with it and feels good as well. I can rinse it off way faster than any other clay-based mask I’ve used.

This dragon fruit mask leaves my face completely oil-free without making it dry. My skin feels clean from the core and radiant after every use. The effect of this mask actually lasts for a couple of days. I noticed that it is really a good mask to get rid of the daily suntan.

However, I was not able to break those black seed-like things ever while massaging, as it is instructed on the packaging. Maybe that’s why I didn’t really find this mask cooling or so. I’ve used up more than 15 pack of this mask so far. My skin does feel smooth afterward but that is an instant effect. I don’t agree with the individual ‘Texture Care’ claim considering a long run result.

Simply I’m a superfan of this Half Moon Eyes Pink Fruity Wash Off Mask and I love it more than any of those clay-based masks I’ve used, even more than my pricey ones!

 

What I Miss about HME Pink Fruity Mask:

I can actually get 3 use from one capsule pack if I don’t apply it on my neck. Even if I use the mask on my neck, one mask pod give me 2 generous use. As because it is not right to use a clay-based mask every day so keeping a mask pod intact is quite a challenge. I love this mask and I know I’ll buy it regularly just the way I’ve been. I really wish Half Moon Eyes comes up with a tube or jar packaging of this mask so it becomes easy to store it.Although when I’m traveling a capsule mask pod is super handy!

It always excites me the most when I find a drugstore product that works the way it claims. My recent find is Follow Me Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner. They are not anything new in the market but had a reformulated launch very recently. The new formula claims to be enriched with Green Tea, Vitamin C & E; to help strengthen hair from the roots, keep them more manageable and healthy.

I’ve been using them for quite a while now. The shampoo & conditioner both impressed me from the first use. Yesterday just before taking a shower this thought came in my mind that I must feature them here in the blog.

 

Follow Me Green Tea Haircare Variant

At the moment they Follow Me Green Tea Shampoo range has 5 variant.

  • 6-in-1 Care
  • Anti-dandruff
  • Anti-hair Fall
  • Soft & Smooth
  • Scalp Care

However, the conditioner comes with two variety – Soft & Smooth and Anti Hair Fall.

 

My Experience with Follow Me Green Tea Shampoo & Conditioner

First of all, the shampoo has a light green color, and the conditioner is plain just like all other conditioners. Both don’t smell the same but they smell something nice, flowery. If you prefer a sulfate-free haircare then these aren’t sulfate-free.

I don’t want to adorn my statement about this Green Tea shampoo and conditioner at all but want to be straightforward. I’ve super fine hair with an oily scalp. If you read GreenStory for a long time then you know how much my oily scalp troubles me. I’ve mentioned that in pretty much all of my hair related posts. I judge a hair product, especially shampoo, depending on how it cleanses the oil off my scalp without sucking off the moisture out of my hair.

The main fact I’m impressed with this Follow Me shampoo is, it is able to clean every bit of oil from my hair just with one wash. The shampoo doesn’t even make my hair dry by stipping off natural moisture. Additionally, my hair feels enough moisturized without even applying conditioner. But yes I never skip using a conditioner because my colored hair always needs some extra protection.

Follow me Green Tea Conditioner is also made me fall in love with it. Most of the drugstore conditioner I came across, tend to give an outer moisturizing effect that goes away within a day. Where this conditioner is giving me a feeling that my hair is properly conditioned from inside. With this conditioner, my hair stays evenly soft and smooth until the next shower [two days to be exact I skipped washing my hair].

Even though I’ve fine hair naturally but due to how I treat my hair so often with color It gets dry & fizzy very quickly. I’m happy that this Follow Me Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner was able to keep the frizz away. In fact, another day I was talking with a friend about this Green Tea hair care range and she totally agreed with me!

 

Overall, this shampoo and conditioner both worth a try. I appreciate that they have quite a few variations to serve different hair. I don’t have dandruff or another issue except for oily scalp and dry hair, otherwise, maybe I would give those other varieties a try. But you can obviously pick any of them according to your hair necessity.

KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask – I’ve been using such an awesome hydrating mask like this after quite a while. This Vitamin E Mask is a new addition to the Klairs skincare range that just launched a while ago at Wishtrend. I’ve been using this Klairs Mask for a couple of weeks now and it didn’t take me long to fall in love.

I haven’t used much product by Klairs before, just the Supple Preparation All Over Lotion and their cotton pads (I’m freak about different types of cotton pads). I love the all over lotion and in fact still using it for my body. Needless to say, It was exciting for me to give this new product by Klairs a try.

The name, Freshly Juiced, kinda describes how juicy it is for the skin. This Klairs Mask is also a multifunctional product that can be used as a mask, sleeping pack or daily moisturizer just by maintaining the amount according to your skin need.

Ingredients of Klairs Vitamin E Mask:

Focus ingredients of this mask are –

  • Vitamin E – is an oil, which is super moisturizing and full of anti-oxidant.
  • Niacinamide (2%) – A well-known ingredient to reduces pigmentation by balancing out the formation of melanin.
  • Adenosine – Anti-inflammatory property, effective on healing and regeneration thus effectively improves acne. High concentration of it serves the function of improving wrinkles.

KLAIRS Vitamin E Mask for Bright and Glowing Skin

Packaging, Texture & Other Basics:

I have to appreciate the elegant glass looking jar that comes with a spatula. The mask smells something very shooting, I can’t really recall a similarity but I like it.

I usually apply a face mask with a flat brush. Also if the packaging is jar type, I just dip the brush directly onto that to pick up the product. Initially seeing it I expected this Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Mask to be like all other masks. When I dipped the brush in it, it tricked me 😅 Felt so stupid and laughed at myself for a moment. On the jar, the mask looks like all other cream mask but it’s nothing like that. This has a pudding-like texture, not even a gel mask; Klairs call it ‘Shape Memory Cream’. Totally reminds me of Astalift Jelly Aquarysta; no matter how much you stir this jelly/pudding thing it goes back to an even shape after a while. No matter how much you use you’ll find a neat jar every next use, it’s super fun!

The product gets into the skin very quickly without leaving any mask-like-trace or residue, it feels like (slightly-sticky) gel cream. You get 90ml of product in the jar. You don’t need much for one use and this is going to last really long. Unless you’re like me and slather a thick layer so the skin can drink up enough :p

 

How I Use Vitamin E Mask

I’ve been using this in many different ways so far as it claims. Leave-on typical mask way, as a moisturizer also as an overnight mask.

In a typical leave-on way it is fantastic. I’ve used it literally any time of the day, lat on my face for 15-20 minutes. After washing off the mask it always gave me a refreshed skin. It was like an instant skin soothing magic.

I’ve used it as a sleeping mask. Sometimes used it alone instead of moisturizer, sometimes mixed with serums I’ve been using. I liked it better alone. For the past few days, at night, after the WishTrend Mandelic Acid Skin Prep Water, I tap a few drops of Nutox Renewing Treatment Lotion, then apply The Ordinary Advanced Retinoif 2%. Give my skin a 10-minute break then use a few pumps of Nutox Renewing treatment Essence and lastly slather Klairs Freshly juiced Vitamin E Mask all over my face. Of course, I was careful with the amount I was using. Just as much I needed because I don’t like to go to bed with a sticky face.

I tried to use this Vitamin E Mask as a day moisturizer but I didn’t really like it that way. As a daily moisturizer, this mask is way too sticky for me to handle. Even with my supper matte sunscreen, Murad City Skin Mineral Sunscreen, it was being sticky within just 30 minutes.

 

Overall Experience with Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask

As a normal mask, it is super soothing and skin reviving. It gives a visible freshness just instantly. Whenever my skin feels tired nowadays I’m finding myself opting for this straight away. 15 minutes and BAMM! My skin is revived from dullness and plumped with hydration. My skin kinda feels RADIANT and firm too!

As a sleeping mask, it is great as well. Every morning It does help me to have a nourished and glowing face. However, I ended up with the feeling that I don’t like to use the mask this way. Mainly because my skin is combination type and Klairs Vitamin E Mask gets a bit too much with all my other pm-skincare. I’ll go back to a normal, non-sticky, moisturizer. Trust me it is not about this mask at all but it’s me, I guess I don’t like to use sleeping mask anymore.

About it claims on anti-aging benefit – can’t really state anything so quick. But the way it revives my skin from tiredness and dullness gives me a feeling it is definitely going to prevent age signs as well. Klairs Freshly juiced Vitamin E Mask claims to be more functional with Vitamin C. Which I can’t tell you anything about cause I’m not using any Vitamin C Serum right now. I might get the Klairs’ Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop or the I’m From Ginseng Serum (again) soon to try the mask out with.

Overall, this Klairs Freshly Juiced Mask is simply a Korean skincare gem!

 

Do I recommend it?

– yes, without a doubt!
For a dry skin to normal skin people, with all that Vitamin E and other benefits, it will be a magical hydrating mask. And it will work amazing as well for oily to combination skin type. I feel this mask is quite appropriate for young skin as well.

My Experience With Laneige Anti-Aging BB Cushion:

Initially, they all look the same except for the pretty packaging. I absolutely like this copper-gold holographic case of the Laneige BB Cushion Anti-aging, it feels so me-type!

However, there is a difference in this one compared to Pore Control BB Cushion and Whitening BB Cushion. The major difference is this one has the fullest coverage among all three. The hight coverage of it is described as ‘Cover-fit Complex’ formula by Laneige. Which is why I actually like this one the most and got hooked with this anti-aging version.

The BB Cushion claims to give 12hr wear but I don’t agree with that. It stays put 6 to 7 hours without any fuss. For a daily makeup, this lasting powder is quite ok with me. It does give a healthy glow to the skin and natural finish. However, if layered too heavily and overdone with setting powder then it gives a cakey finish. In that fact, I do be careful. Although when I wear a BB Cushion, mostly as my quick go-to, I don’t really want full coverage. Thus, layering – I don’t do.

Mostly when I’m going out for daily chores and want to give myself a quick polished look then I opt for a BB Cushion. Also for my lazy days, I opt for Laneige BB Cushion Anti-aging. Loving it ever since. The only fact, my shade 35 is not widely available in the market. Tan girls problem, you know…phew!

I’m sure you are well aware of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna already. Yass I got some too and here I’m to share my thought on the Fenty Makeup I’ve been playing with. Before sharing my own user experience with Fenty Makeup I want to quote what Rihanna herself said at the launch…

“I just wanted thing that I love, and then I also wanted thing that girls could fall in love with, of all skin tones. And I keep saying that because that was really important to me. In every product I was like, there needs to be something for a dark skinned girl, there needs to be something for a really pale girl, there needs to be something for someone in between. There are so many different shades. There’s red undertones, there’s green undertones, there’s blue undertones, there’s yellow and you just never know. So you want people to appriciate the product and not feel like, oh that’s cute, but it only looks good one her. It might have been a challange but I didnt care, I was up for it.”

  • Couldn’t resist including her speech here because it truly touched my mind. I was restless until I ran into the store to check out the collection. I can’t recall when was the last time I got this excited for a makeup launch. To be honest, the excitement wasn’t about a celebrity endorsement (although I’m a fan of Rihanna since her song – Unfaithful) but the unique product range.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Foundation and Instant Retouch Primer

The first thing I want to tell you, Fenty Foundation changes color once it is dry (or I should say – oxidizes). This fact reminds me of Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. I appreciate that this getting-deep thing is clearly mentioned in Fenty website. The brand instructed to decide the shade match once your swatch is dry.

I wanted to try the Fenty Foundation with its primer to understand the best use of it. Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer is a water based primer, has Glycerin, Talc and Sodium Hyaluronate in it. I’m glad that it’s not a silicone based primer, I not a fan of silicone. But initially, I was skeptical seeing Talc in the ingredient list!

 

Instant Retouch Primer:

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Primer

The primer is lightweight and goes on very smoothly on the skin. It gives the skin a soft veil, without the shine but with a dewy sheen which I love. It keeps my skin really hydrated throughout the day. Earlier, I’ve been using Laura Mercier Radiance Primer all over and Benefit Porefessional to cover up pores. With this one, I went without Benefit Porefessional. Eventually, I fell in love with the finish it gives alone. The Pro Filt’r foundation, obviously, works with it very well as well as my other foundation; e.g. MUFE Ultra HD and Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Soft Matte Long Wearing Foundation:

When we talk about Fenty Beauty, the range of foundation definitely gets the highlight. I truly appreciate the forty shades of foundation, from the lightest to the darkest, with a proper variation of undertones. Needless to say, I was super pumped to find my shade from Fenty Foundation.

I have a very critical skin tone. Yes, I’m a tawny, with a serious warm hue and the most critical fact is – I’ve olive undertone. It has always been a struggle for me to find a perfect match for my skin.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Foundation Shade 360

I matched myself with the shade Neutral Olive – 360.
When I swatch foundation I usually match it with my hand because my hand is more tan(due to the lack of using sunscreen) than my face. Thus I prefer using a slightly deeper shade of foundation on my face so that my face and hands look similar.

It was confusing at the beginning to pick between the shade 350 and 360. The shade 350 doesn’t have olive under tone. Where the shade 360 was getting slightly deeper (the blended part of the picture above). I ended up getting the 360 considering I’ll be using a primer, contouring stuff, setting spray and else which will eventually balance out the shade. Fortunately, when I tried the foundation it turned out ok.

The best part about the Pro Filt’r Foundation – It is extremely lightweight, buildable to full-coverage with just a second layer. The first day I wore the foundation (with the primer and UD All Nighter) for solid 8 hours. It looked great at the end, except it did crack on my smile lines. The day was rough though, I was traveling and there were a lot of activities. 2nd time I wore the foundation for 5 hours and it was a normal comfortable day. The foundation performed well without any cracks, fuss or anything else. I found out Fenty foundation applies the best with my Beauty Blender.

 

Fenty Beauty Match Stix – Matte

Match Stix – Matte comes with a variety of 20 shades. They’re meant to serve the purpose of concealing and contouring. They also come in a trio package ( That includes one or two shimmer stix) with a fraction of the price to cater individual preference. I not really a fan of cream contouring so I got a single one to use it as a concealer.

The shade Latte Matched my skin the best. It has a warm-olive tone as well. Initially, they look super matte but their bendability is incredible. I’m amazed seeing the coverage of this concealer as well. Have a look at the swatch picture above, the concealer covered my veins completely.

The concealer has a tendency to get deeper as well just like the Pro Filt’r Foundation but not quite as much as the foundation. It stays put without cracking or so. I fell in love from my first use. For a daily basis, I’m just wearing it alone, covering up whatever little imperfections I’ve and then I’m good to go. I’m happy that I picked the exact match rather considering a contouring shade. Everyday makeup became way easier now.

 

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter – Trophy Wife

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter comes with 6 variety. Four of them are in a duo form, one subtle shade, and one intense shade. Other two is solo, Metal Moon & Trophy Wife, an insanely supercharged version of highlighter.

I had my eyes on the Trophy Wife ever since I noticed the promo picture of it. When I swatched it at the store, I was like, ‘man! this has never been in the world before!’ Girl, I swear my pictures doesn’t do any justice with the spark of it. This is simply your party highlighter.

Killawatt Trophy Wife is has a creamy-powder texture and it applies like a dream. The super fine shimmery highlight powder is also loaded with some ultra-charged sparking particle. This is the most unique one among all 6 Killawatt.

Frankly, if you are not a makeup fanatic Trophy Wife can be challenging as an everyday highlighter. However, If you want to lit like the sun then this is just a must have.

The picture below I’m wearing all Fenty Face. The Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Primer and Soft Matte Foundation in shade 360 for the base. Match Stix in shade Latte to cover up dark spots and also under my eyes. The Killawatt Trophy Wife is everywhere, from the corner of the eyelid to brow bone to cheek bone to my collar bone.

Overall, I love every product I got from Fenty Beauty. Packaging-wise I would say it’s pretty, everything is decent, nothing to complain at all. However, if I think of Rihanna then the packaging feels quite off. Only the Killawatt Highlighter, Trophy Wife, feels – Yass, this is so Rihanna like!

I’m not a lip gloss user at all, I really wish there was some lipstick. Although I understand the ‘mix-and-match-use-less’ thing you can do with the Shimmer Stix. Yet for me, a lipstick is always a lipstick! Perhaps Fenty Beauty will come up with new ranges in future. After all, this is just the beginning!

How do you overcome holiday comma? The past couple of weeks has been hectic due to eid holidays and it’s not over yet for me until I’m done with my staycation plan on 10th September. Hence the lacking of blog updates, I’m sure you can guess that already. However, one good thing happened during this holiday! I was able to give the new Sigma Dimensional Brushes Vol 1 & 2 a good experimental whim.

Sigma Dimensional Brushes features all Kabuki brushes for face, are focused to give you a sharp and picture-perfect face within the least amount of time. These dimensional brushes come in a paired set call,

I have been amazed seeing their innovative shape ever since they landed in my vanity. It was suspense to know how they actually gonna work and they also passed with distinction …haha! Sigma Beauty always does the best with their brushes for sure.

Let me tell you my experience with these 4DHD Generation of Makeup Brushes, one by one…

These two Kabuki brushes came out first. They feature a polished and perfect skin. Both of them has nicely packed bristle, the density, and softness of bristles that I’ve never experienced before.

The Curved Kabuki F83, its curvy cut was built to hug every angle of the face and it does just the way it claims. This one works amazing for cream contouring as well as full coverage foundation application.

After using this Curved Kabuki Brush by SigmaBeauty I’m sure I won’t go back to my round/normal Kabuki/buffing brushes.

Sigma Dimensional Brushes Vol. 1 & 2-3 Curved Kabuki F83

 

To my surprise, 3DHD Max Kabuki is just an upgraded version of Sigma’s early release 3DHD Kabuki, that I’ve been a fan of for years. But yes as an upgrade this 3DHD Max just fulfill every other lack the previous version had. I use to feel in my mind if my 3DHD was a bit fluffier and bigger it could have been easier to blend out the foundation.

When I saw this Max version I knew it right away that it will be one of my top foundation brushes from now on. If you’re a user of 3DHD then you know what I’m talking about!

3DHD is two times bigger in shape and has more angle in it compared to the 3DHD original. The bristles are bigger and fluffier in it as well and the density is just perfect. I used it with my Estee Lauder Double wear foundation and it made me so happy. Usually, I find it so hard to blend EL Double Wear without my Beauty Blender as it sits and dries on the skin super fast.

Dimensional Brushes Volume 2 by SigmaBeauty

Sigma Dimensional Brushes Vol. 1 & 2-4DHD and F87

The Dimensional Brushes Vol. 2 came out very recently after Volume 1. These two, 4DHD Kabuki and Edge Kabuki F87, complete your entire face makeup need with a sharp and defined edge.

4DHD Kabuki is a four-dimensional kabuki brush, specifically for concealer application. Each side of this brush is evenly dense, give a diffused and even concealer application within a minute.

The tip of the 4DHD Kabuki by Sigma Beauty is amazing to spot conceal. This one is my 2nd favorite from the entire dimensional brushes collection.

Edge Kabuki F87 is a triangular shaped, the top is also angled, perfected to apply setting powder under the eye area. I also found it quite amazing to apply powder contour product when I wanted a sharp contour on my face.

This Kabuki Brush, F87, is also great at times for foundation application.

The time I wanted to use fewer brushes and lazily went with just Edge Kabuki F87 by SigmaBeauty and it didn’t fail me at all.

Overall, for the quality and the work performance I truly love all these four Dimensional Brushes. These four kabuki brushes surely complete one another for edgy face makeup.

 

How to take proper care of Sigma Beauty Dimensional Brushes?

Usually, thick and dense brushes are slightly difficult to clean when it’s about getting rid of cream/liquid makeup products, especially foundation, from the bristles. Kabuki brushes are also time-consuming when it’s about drying them and making them ready for the next use.

I like the fact that these Sigma Beauty Dimensional Brushes are also quite easy to clean. A good brush cleanser like Sigmagic Brushampoo and a brush cleaning mat like Spa Glove or Practk Palmat, of course, accelerate the brush cleaning process.

Drying these dimensional Kabuki brushes isn’t long either if you follow a fair brush drying process. For example, if you remember my previous post where I shared how I dry my makeup brushes and the cheap tools I use for that.
