Limited Edition Althea Box | Glitter – Everything For A Sparkly Makeup!

This post has been quite an overdue. Let me apologize first because if you like this and want to grab one for yourself [damn!] its SOLD OUT already… phew! I got this Althea Box, named as Glitter Box, on hand just a few days before Christmas and didn’t even get a chance to open it up in between all those holiday messes. Later before 31st, I started digging in and it took me this long to try out the whole Glitter Box and prepare a post for you!

Not my fault in a sense, all Althea box (specially curated by the Althea team back in Korea) are limited edition. Moreover, this boxes (previously reviewed Althea Life Proof Box) comes with all full-size product and so they get sold out on a whim. You gotta keep your eyes open on their website if you want to grab a super cool Althea Box that matches your taste.

However, Let me give you guys an overview of the Althea Glitter box. It’s a full-proof box for with all sparkly goodies in it. So you can get the product idea at least and get them individually if you desire.

Belleme Brown Smokey Palette:

This is a quad with all brown hued satin/pearl finish shadows. Loved the creaminess and pigmentation of colors. The pans in this palette are in standard sizes like MAC or Makeup Geek Pan which means you’re getting a lot of product. There is no matte shade in this palette but the shade Cinamon has the least of a pearly finish so you can easily use that on the crease. The shadows cause not fall out or so and with a primer (swatches above are without any primer) they stay put until you take them off. This palette has become a major love!

By the way, the Belleme shader brush you seeing in the picture doesn’t come with the palette but it’s and additional product of the Glitter Box.

Amiok Premium Eye Glow & Holika Holika Eye Liner:

Amiok Premium Eye glow’s are actually liquid glossy shadows. They dry out after a while and leaves a pearly finish. These are kinda metallic in a sense but not really that much of a shiny. When blended they loose their intensity which I didn’t really like. I liked their bendability but would love them more if the opacity and shine were intact. However, they make a great eyeshadow base for your powder eyeshadow.

Holika Holika Jewel-light liner in pink topaz also has some glitter thingy in it. It is waterproof and smudge-proof. Applies very smoothly and gets smudge proof when dry. I like it both ways, for my water line and eyelid.

Aritaum Magic Contouring Highlighter | Glam:

This highlighter is a gem and I literally failed to capture this smooth shine it gives. It has a peachy tone in it and so suitable for any skin tone. I was impressed seeing that it gives zero powderiness but the healthy glow on the skin. The packaging of this highlighter is also impressive. You get that high-quality feeling in it. There is also a brush comes with the highlighter but that is not much appropriate for a highlighter application. I would suggest using your own favorite highlighter brush.

Rire Eye Pigment:

Three Rire Eye Pigment comes with the Glitter Box and the are the Star of the box in my opinion. The spark these pigments has will blind you for sure… just kidding, but you can guess what I mean right? Best part, these have some kinda creaminess in them so you don’t need any glitter base or pigment base to stick them in your eyelid. You just need to tap them on your lid, they will be there and you’re good to go. Girl if you love the sparkle you must try these out.

Dear Althea, please make them available in more colors 🙂

Innisfree Nail Sticker:

You’ve all the sparkly makeup on but your nails are flat, that doesn’t look good right? It’s great that Althea did remember our nails as well and added some bling to adorn them. I’m sure you know how easy it is to decorate nails with nail sticker. Pull and snap the sticker on the nails, apply your top coat and holla! you have your salon manicure at home!

Palladio Beauty – Botanical & Vitamin Infused Makeup | Hot/Not???

Palladio Beauty launched here in Malaysia in October 2016, Available exclusively at Guardian. I’ve been trying out 8 Palladio product since December’16 and now I came to an end to sharing my experience with you guys.

But before starting with product experience let me give you a short intro of the brand Palladio…

The brand was founded 25 years ago in the USA. Until today it is available in more than 40 countries worldwide and a very popular one in the Europe market. All Palladio products are botanical and vitamin infused. Each of the SKU has at least 75%of natural ingredients derived from the nature such as Aloe vera, Green Tea extract, Beeswax, Honey, Camomile and more. Besides the healthy ingredients, Palladio is also cruelty-free.

Palladio Rice Paper Blotting Tissue | RM20.90

Do you use blotting paper? Honestly, I often don’t, actually I forget to use them. However, I was really interested in trying this out because this rice thing is the most popular product of Palladio Beauty. Interestingly they come in shade variety. I picked the shade warm beige. There is a two side of the paper, both sides are usable but the red/matte side has rice powder in it. Nicely absorbs oil without destroying the makeup. Although I felt if these blotting tissues were a bit softer then it would’ve been more comfortable to use. The paper sadly gives the feeling of a writing pads paper.

Palladio Matte Blush | RM26.90

I picked the shade Toasted apricot among 4 of Palladio Matte blush. I feel this sort of coral shade goes with my skin the best. This blush surprisingly impressed me. It’s completely matte but when applied it gives a healthy sheen. Love the pigmentation and smoothness of it and the blush also stays put for a long time.

Palladio Silk FX Eyeshadow | RM42.90

When getting all these Palladio products I was mainly excited to try out their eyeshadow. Specifically, these Silk FX Avant Guarde one because of that teal blue shade there. The swatches you seeing above is without any primer. Metallic shades come opaque with one swipe but the matte cream shade is way too powdery. I had to put a few swipe to show the color properly. Although they swatch nicely on hand but in the eyelid when I blend these shadows they lose their opacity and color as well to some extent. Looking at the price of this palette it felt a bit disappointing.

Palladio Eyeshadow Quad | RM30.90

When I was slightly upset on the Silk FX palette (palette is shown before) this quad, Green To Go, made me happy. These aren’t metallic but kinda satin in finish, only the deepest shade has gold glitter flakes in it but that goes away when applied/blended. I love how smooth these applies. I’ve swatched them here without primer as always. Specifically, the green shade needs a solid primer to hold the opacity on the eyelid.

Palladio Foundation Primer | RM47.90

I went through quite a few web reviews before choosing this primer. People says this primes can be compared to the Smashbox primer. Which made me very much interested in giving the primer a try. It’s a silicone based primer, reminds me of a lot of drugstore primers like MUA, ELF, and Maybelline pore eraser as well.
What makes it different from those and why I liked it more than those other primers?
Even though the Palladio foundation primer is silicone based but it’s lightweight than any other drugstore primer I’ve tried. It is actually thin in consistency thus feels very light on the skin but does the job properly. Has no fragrance in it, infused with flower extracts and other botanical goodness. You might want to give this a try!

Palladio Wet & Dry Foundation | RM45.90

This is another product after the eyeshadow I was very much interested in. The foundation claims to give maximum coverage when wet but I’m not a fan of applying the powder foundation in a wet form due to hygiene purpose. I was really looking forward to using it dry as my go-to foundation. It gives generous coverage when dry and as you can see from the picture above, the shade Tawny pretty much matches my skin.
But wait… there is this horrible thing happened!
The foundation oxidizes and goes deep ashy on my skin like there is no end. I’ve never experienced such crazy oxidization on my skin. The day I tried it, luckily I tried it at home. The next day I went to store to swatch the next lighter shade with the thought if I picked a wrong shade. But no, the next lighter shade is what too light for my skin and that goes ashy on my skin after a while as well. I have no idea what was wrong with it.

Nevertheless, as because it goes ashy and deep I have a solution to use it up. If you’re reading GreenStory for a long time then you already can guess that! Can’t guess?
It turns out just perfect as a contour shade. I’m going to use it as my daily contour shade just the way I use to use MUA Pressed Powder long ago.

Palladio Aqua Force Mascara | RM38.90

Palladio has a few types of mascara. Among all, I picked this one because the wand of this one is thin compared to others. I find a thin wand always works better for my lashes, especially to grab those tiny lower lashes. Palladio Aqua Force Mascara is a good for everyday use because neither it gives humongous volume nor extra length. It just emphasizes the lashes naturally, maybe with a slight length. I love that this mascara doesn’t make my lashes feeling plasticky like other random drugstore mascara.

Palladio Brow Gel | RM28.90

I love this brow mascara. This one reminds me of my old favorite clear mascara. I’ve been away from clear mascara for a long time now but seems like I’m back with it. I love the dual-end wand of this Palladio Brow Mascara.

Sleek MakeUP Enchanted Forest Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatch

First thing first, drum roll peeps, YASS, Sleek MakeUP is now officially available at Sephora stores here in Malaysia. You can see, swatch and pick your favorites physically!
Sleek MakeUP ‘s iDivine shadow palettes are my old love. I got around 6/7 palettes earlier. If you’re following me on my social media then you already know, very recently I was gifted (thanks a bunch) this Enchanted Forest one by Sleek Malaysia. This isn’t a new palette, I guess it came in the market early 2015 or before that. I was keen to get this when it launched but it was always hard to get the Sleek product because they weren’t really available.

Needless to mention, my excitement went over the head when I got to know that from now Sleek Makeup will be available just in my closest store!

It’s the same classic black packaging of Sleek. Nothing much to talk about that. I love the color selection of Sleek Enchanted Forest palette. There is 4 matte shade, 2 shades are kinda satin and rest of them are metallic. I’m always a fan of deep colors thus this palette takes a plus point. Love that there are shades of gold-browns, blues, burgundy along with a couple of cool toned green.

I ‘m finding myself loving those cool-ashy greens more from this palette. That red burgundy-ish shade (Anastasia) reminds me of Makeup Geek Bitten. Anastasia has been a staple for my lower lash line ever since I got this palette. I’m looking forward to wearing that golden shade, Pumpkin, very soon. Afterall, golden hues are life for my tan skin :p

Swatch of Sleek MakeUP Enchanted Forest Palette:

All swatch shown above are without any primer or such thing. As always pigmentation of Sleek eyeshadow gives no scope to complain. However, the shade Glass Slipper is a bit powdery to use. Metallic shades are ‘the bomb’ in this palette and mattes are pretty decent. I fall in love with Sleek Makeup once again… haha!

The Party Perfect box comes with a trio of high-performance Murad bestsellers to keep skin looking hydrated, flawless and fabulous for all holiday parties. I’ve been trying them out throughout my Christmas parties and now looking forward to the new year eve. Needless to mention, My birthday is coming this early January as well 🙂

Let me tell you about my experience with the three Murad Skin Care product I’m using at the moment…

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield | 30ml

Ingredients:

This is a moisturizer but with broad spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ and visible blurring effect. Invisiblur Perfecting Shield creates the flawless base while giving skin hydration, sun care and anti-aging benefits it needs. As because it blurs out the pores and gives skin a smoothing effect, yes, it works amazing as a foundation primer. I’ve been hooked to Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield for the past two weeks. The outcome is impressive and it goes with any of my foundations. In fact, helps to keep my base makeup intact throughout the day.

I’m happy that this was the full-size product in the box because trust me, I kinda forgot all my other makeup primer.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture | 15ml

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Phenoxyethanol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Xylitylglucoside, Phenyl Trimethicone, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Anhydroxylitol, Isohexadecane, Chlorphenesin, Allantoin, Urea.

I can’t recall if I ever experienced any other moisturizer (except gel creams) that is more lightweight and grease free than Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture. This moisturizer is true to its claim, deeply moisturizes skin for a long time without being fussy. The goodness of Coconut Extract, Shea Butter, Avocado, Sunflower, and Olive Fruit Oils ensures restore suppleness and support the skin’s natural protective barrier. The formula is also combined with Hydro-Dynamic® Quenching Essence for 5x the hydrating power.

I love how luxurious it feels on the skin, so oily or stickiness, no heavy feeling but soft and supple skin. Moreover, you just need a pea amount of product for one use. This 15ml jar seems to last me for a month at least. Without any doubt the best high-end moisturizer I’ve used so far.

Murad Eye Lift Firming Treatment | 5ml

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), PPG-12/SMDI Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Hydrolyzed Myrtus Communis Leaf Extract, Ethylhexyl Palmitate , Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium PCA, Betaine , Sorbitol, Glycine, Alanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Arginine, Lysine, Glutamic Acid, Glutamylamidoethyl Imidazole, Zinc Gluconate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Menthyl Lactate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Carbomer, Aminomethyl Propanol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin

This eye treatment is something new I’ve tried. The treatment get comes in the pump and cotton like pads you get within the package. After cleansing my face I applied 3 pumps to the under-eye area (as instructed) in a generous layer then gently pat in the pad over the gel. After 10-15 minutes removed the eye pads and got less tired looking eyes.

The picture above is just after using the eye lift treatment. I tried the treatment in my right under eye only to see the difference. In the first use, honestly, I could see only less darkness than the other eye but the lifting effect wasn’t much visible. While using the treatment there was some cooling sensation in my under eye area thus after removing the pad it was very refreshing there. I believe if I use the treatment continuously it will surely give me some visible lifting result.

I find this box is totally a bargain. The full-size Invisible Perfecting Shield alone worth the price of the full box. If you’re new to Murad Skin Care like me then I think this is the best chance to try out their product without spending a lot. And of course, they have a few variations of boxes so you can pick according to your needs. Hurry if you’re interested in the boxes because they will be available till the stock last.

However, I highly recommend buying (if you don’t mind high-end skincare) the Invisiblur Perfecting Shield as a primer/day protecting moisturizer and the Hydro-Dynamic moisture if you’re looking for a fuss-free but effective moisturizer.

Highlights of the Miss Whoosh Glamourous 2016

Cure Water Treatment Skin Cream has 2 main usages, as a toner and an emulsion. It contains harmless cosmetic grade silicon that covers the skin to maintain hydration for a smoother and oil-free complexion.

It is a lightweight but intense moisturizer that is specially formulated to battle against dry skin. The texture of the product feels like a lotion rather than a cream. With its high concentration of the liquid, the cream has a high skin absorption rate as well.

Did you ever realize that there is a difference between normal sadness and extream sadness/depression? Feeling depressed is normal but when your depression gets to an intense level and that is not leaving you for more than a couple of weeks then dearie your stage is clinical? It’s not silly, so many of us are unaware of this and that leads us towards serious loss. We could prevent that if we were aware if we had hands to help and care. Depression is a treatable medical condition, we just need to educate ourselves.

But actually today I’m here to talk about a Beauty Bag, exciting right?
However, it’s all about supporting a good cause. I’m happy to be a part of ‘I Will Be Okay – Fight Against Depression’ Awareness Campaign. It’s a non-profit charity campaign to educate and raise awareness of mental illness as well as to encourage those who are suffering from depression to seek the help they need. Agree or not, not many of us don’t have the courage to talk about our sadness. We better suffer but we won’t talk it out exactly when we need proper help and counseling. It’s time to change, conquer the depression.

This Limited Edition Beauty Bag is the 2nd project of the #IWillBeOkay campaign. I appreciate the great initiative our KL blogger friend, Fiona Loh from the blog Street Love (street-love.net), took to educate people. Earnings from this project will go to #IWillBeOkay Fund, which will be used to help those in need i. e. future campaigns, events, donations, and much more.

Clinivita Marine Placenta Concentrate 15ml, worth RM158

I never tried any placenta serum or anything from Clinivita. Thus I’m actually pretty curious about this product. It contains fish collagen and milk protein like rich ingredients. Claims to reduce scars from acne, injury or surgery. No doubt I’m going to take my time to experiment with it in peace.
